I gave up on the world when a lady tried selling powdered egg to us at surulere, someone gave her pot and stove she added water to the powder added a pinch of salt and pepper fried it, it looked like eggs, smelt like eggs, in fact u can't believe it's not real eggs, just 1 sachet can feed two adults, she ran away when the boys there wanted to beat her for selling it. For more than a week I kept trying to understand how eggs could be made to powder form

Powdered eggs exist. Google for yourself

Do you know how fragile an egg is that someone would now sit down to manufacture a fake egg. Kai

You want to make fake shell, make fake yoke and fake egg white too. Chai

The egg has stayed long in the place it was stored.

There's no iPhone 7s.

And if this story isn't fabricated, and you meant an iPhone 7, then it's still useless to you.

The most you can do is hold it for ransom, or at most sell the screen.

Better person..... I thought no one would notice the iPhone 7s thing(which doesn't exist).

Thanks boss.
I do appreciate

For size, I'm thinking audience of 200-300 persons

That's gonna be quite a big hall.. .. You should be looking at 10-16 speakers including the bass/subwoofers. You can add more if you want.

Again from research, your setup/arrangement of the speakers has to be top notch so as to get the best sound quality.

Haryomikun come and help out.

Please what speaker - amplifier combination would you recommend for a good DJ set up
Laptop, controller is already available

Like what speaker can serve a typical wedding reception in a hall and what amplifier (ratings) can handle it.
Do I need subs?

I would appreciate your inputs
Thank you

I'm not too conversant with all those mixers, amps and the likes buh I know some speakers come with in built amps.
Also for the wedding hall, the amount of speakers you'll use all depends on the size of the hall. From research, all speakers except the bass speakers, should be mounted on stands at a LIL above head level for best sound quality.. .. . The bass speakers can be kept on the floor.

As I said I'm not too conversant buh I hope this little info helps you.

thanks for the quick reply. were you able to successfully subscribe to the merit plan, if yes, how did you go about it?

I haven't subscribed buh I tried subscribing yesterday.
Had to call their customer care coz I couldn't see the merit plan on the list of service plans available to switch to. So the customer care representative just changed the plan I was on before (family plan - 34gb, 5pm-8am weekdays and 24/7 weekends and public holidays) to the merit plan.
So the merit plan appears on my dashboard like it was the plan I was using before. If I wanna subscribe now, I just have to click on the renew button and I'm good to go.

any idea if this plan would work on an old sim? cos I'm picking one up today

Definitely it would work..... As long as it's a swift sim card. I've had my swift router since 2014. Dumped it last year July. Picked it up yesterday and it's still functioning.

does it comes with Night browsing

Swift has an unlimited plan(swift merit plus) . This plan costs 3k and you get 3gb + unlimited browsing from 10pm-7am every single day of the subscription (1 month).

I'm picking up my swift router coz of this to test and see if it's worth it. I'm after the unlimited browsing at night grin
Gaming / Re: Game Scam Alert! by ezzylee(m): 7:43pm On Oct 24, 2017
I agree with khalhokage

But another thing you need to consider is that there are 3 different editions/variants of fifa 18 (icon edition, Ronaldo edition and the standard edition).
The icon edition is the most expensive followed by the Ronaldo edition and then the standard edition.

JUMIA might be selling an edition other than the standard edition which results in a higher price.

Nah, no much derailing here.
Someone can learn a thing or two from other people's discussions like the name of the sites you just mentioned but you didn't say the name of the courses.

Oohhh..... . Depending on what you wanna learn e.g Java, and the platform you wanna use e.g udemy, you can just search on java within udemy and select whichever course meets your requirements(each course would be outlined with all what you're gonna cover within the course) . Each course also has ratings so you'll know which course most people are selecting to learn Java.
These courses can be done at your own pace coz they've been pre-recorded and the people who teach these courses also update them with the latest information so you as a student is up to date on current trends within whatever course you choose to learn.

It would be well. Had friends who didn't pay attention at all to any of the programming classes but after their degree, they chose to dedicate time to learning on their own and they're quite good. Let's not derail MackyNaija 's thread yh.

Amen ooooo, I'm using this IT as opportunity to learn one or two things on my own! I pray make I fit cope when I go run my msc

Nice one..... You should also look at all these websites that teach these things. Sites like udemy, w3schools, etc, are very good. Some of the courses they offer are free and some you have to pay. If you have to pay, always look out for when they're doing discounts (except if you're OBO grin) . You can get those courses for really really cheap prices.

We were just taught the basics of some languages and when the exam comes, you go dey see stars. They expect you to have read ahead and all.
What I'm tryna point out is that if at least you guys were taught the basics of some languages, when you're asked to learn these things later in future, it'll be easier rather than people saying that an IT person that can't write a line of code.

Me sef wey i dey talk, no be say person know coding coz if you see some codes ehn you go just dey tell yourself say you never learn anything.

You can also learn these things on your own too

1 million likes for you. GUO beats all other transport company hands down. I served in Imo. Every time I did Iyana Ipaja - Imo, it was always with GUO. Well maintained buses and no unnecessary delay. Even during a fuel crisis, the bus I boarded did not stop to queue at a filling station for fuel. And they are cheaper than GiG and Cross Country!

The best part is that they tell you upfront the route the driver is going to take so that you'll know before hand how to plan your journey. They even gave me a Calendar. GUO is bae

Yh...forgot the route thing sef. When you're buying your ticket, they'll tell you the various final destinations within lagos (don't know about other states). So you'll choose the bus that's gonna arrive at your destination or pass through the route that'll lead to your final destination so you can easily get transportation to where you're going.

It must be the per second check points on our roads .

Lol... very true. I guess they've not mastered the art of bribery yet.
You know those Nigerian drivers that ply the lagos Ghana route bribe those customs and whatever other patrols they have on the road. They also factor in the bribe money into our transport fee.

I don't know but it seems Ghanaian bus companies dont like plying The Nigerian route

Very true. Even thought this their GH EXPRESS (THE BIG RED LUXURIOUS BUSES) go to Nigeria. But I was wrong. Definitely there will be a reason for them not transporting people to and from Nigeria.

I don't know why no one has thought of starting his own transport company along with excellent customer service and send all these illiterates out of business. That's a very huge goldmine in this country.

Have you started your own?

Lol.... Cross Country is the worst transport company I've ever taken when travelling.

My first time going to Ghana, I went with them. They'll tell you they'll start the journey by 6am, journey won't start until 9 or 10am. You'll now enter Ghana around 1am the next day (all this delay and all happened in all the 4 times I went with them).

Had some friends that were coming back to Nigeria with cross country. As usual, cross country told them to come by 5am this time. Their bus didn't leave the park until 11am. They were still in Ghana as at 4pm. They slept at aflao border that day and got into Nigeria the next day in the morning/afternoon.

Since I noticed all these things, I vowed not to do anything with them again. Now GUO is BAE.
GUO would leave Ghana 6am and I'll be at iyana ipaja by 3pm..... My house by 4 or 5pm.
