Cabal At Buhari’s Presidency Agrees To Free Senate President Saraki If He Frustrates Confirmation Of EFCC Chair, Magu BY SAHARA REPORTERS A cabal made up of high-level appointees in President Muhammadu Buhari’s office has struck a deal with Senate President Bukola Saraki to cease all forms of prosecution against him if he would agree to block the confirmation of Ibrahim Magu as chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Mr. Saraki has had a series of legal losses in his bid to stop his multiple prosecutions for false asset declaration and money laundering. The senator’s latest legal misfortune came earlier today when a panel of the Court of Appeal dismissed his effort to stop his trial.Source: http://saharareporters.com/2016/10/27/cabal-buhari’s-presidency-agrees-free-senate-president-saraki-if-he-frustrates

Members of Zambian ruling party (Patriotic Front) social media group got a rare ‘blessing’ on Sunday, October 9, 2016 when their district chair lady flaunted her Brea5ts in the forum. Beatrice Bwalya Kapansa is the newly elected deputy mayor of Mufulira and councillor for David Kaunda ward in Zambia. The municipal leader, who is in her late 50s, added a caption to her obviously self-explanatory picture: “JUST RELAXING IN BED.” Although there hasn’t been any complaints from the male members of the WhatsApp group, the female counterparts are up in arms demanding for her resignation as district chairlady and that she should further be removed from the position of deputy mayor.

The Judges are used to been called "my lord" The sting operations should continue, let the DSS purge them of the "lordship" mentality |
Sahara reporters has obtained a full list of all the Nigerian judges facing a nationwide clampdown by the Department of State Security (DSS). The list, which includes two of the Supreme Court Justices who have already been arrested, includes three Justices of the Court of Appeal, seven Federal High Court justices and four state High Court judges in Kano, Gombe, and Kaduna states. The document, which formed the basis for the clampdown on the judges, contains a brief explanation as to why the cleansing of the judiciary should commence with the listed judges. "Pursuant to the current administration's drive to fight corruption at all levels, and following public revulsion at some section of the judiciary on acts bordering on dishonesty, corruption, and abuse of judicial process, a profile of some senior judicial officers alleged to be involved in corrupt practices has been compiled", the reported prepared by the DSS stated. The document explains in graphic detail how Supreme Court justices were compromised during the election petition ruling relating to Governor Nysom Wike of Rivers state. Although only two judges of the Supreme Court have so far been arrested by the DSS, the documents named a full panel of Supreme Court justices that sat to decide the Rivers state election case. The document stated that the Supreme Court judgement which gave Governor Wike victory against the Court of Appeal ruling which had reversed Governor Wike election was delivered on January 27th, 2016 and the full judgement further delivered on February 12th, 2016 by a panel that was led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Muhammad Mahmud. Other panel members named included Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, Nwali Sylvester Ngwuta, Kumai Byang Akaahs, Kudirat Motonmori Olatokumbo kekere-kun, John Inyang Okoro and Amiru Sanusi. Justice Kekere-Ekun delivered a unanimous decision validating Wike's election. The document reveals that the CJN constituted the panel on the very day of the judgement in an attempt to frustrate those waiting to induce members of the panel. It also reveals that despite the strategy adopted by the Chief Justice, the panel received monetary inducement through Justice Mary Odili who, although a member of the Court, was not on the panel. Justice Odili, according to the confidential report, became dramatic and reportedly wept before her colleagues on the panel, saying that if Wike were not returned as governor, she would prematurely become a widow as her husband, Peter Odili is a former governor of the state, and Wike’s godfather would have a heart attack. Governor Wike has publicly acknowledged the role of the Odilis in restoring his mandate as governor. During a thanksgiving to mark his victory, he said that had the election been nullified, he would not have re-contested, claiming he was close having a heart attack as his blood pressure was rising. The report obtained by SaharaReporters does not say how much each of the Supreme Court judges received. It does state that the same amount had been offered to the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, who rejected it, saying she feared that all eyes would be on her. Dr. Odili on Tuesday took out an N6billion lawsuit against APC candidate Dakuku for his statement concerning Wike’s praise of his role in getting him a favorable legal ruling. SAHARA REPORTERS

BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORK The first wife of Ibrahim Uwais, a son of former Chief Justice Mohammed Uwais who was killed near Aleppo, Syria by US forces, has been detained by agents of the Department of State Security (DSS) after she and her children returned to Nigeria. Halima Ibrahim and her two children returned to Nigeria via Turkish Airlines yesterday; a security source told a correspondent of SaharaReporters. Ibrahim Uwais' second wife remains in Syria with three of her kids, the security source said. The second wife is believed to be a more radical of Ibrahim Uwais' two wives. Our source disclosed that Mrs. Halima Uwais and her children have been detained by the Department of State Security pending an investigation into their sojourn in Syria. Ibrahim Uwais secretly traveled to Syria in February 2015 to join extremist Islamist terror group, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). He became one of the numerous Islamist terrorists who perished when US forces targeted members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria in fierce airstrikes. SaharaReporters learned that Ibrahim Uwais left Nigeria in 2015 after telling close family members he was headed to Turkey to explore business opportunities. He took along his two wives and five kids. However, he slipped from Turkey into Syria with his entire family and joined the burgeoning army of volunteer fighters who travel from different parts of the world to enlist with ISIS, a group whose agenda is to carve out an Islamist caliphate. cokkoduck:The judges have been arrested by DSS and Wike was not able to do anything about it, talkless of you Mr. light skull The issue is not about Amaechi vs Wike, its about Wike trying to stop the arrest of a judge that is been accused of corruption and yes DSS has every right to arrest anybody that constitutes public nuisance. Warn Wike not to obstruct the path of justice next time, else he will be shot ! .... |
cokkoduck:So Wike was the right person to call at that point in time ? Whatever happened to the AIG of his zone ? Liman and Wike have got some shady deals I tell you |
cktheluckyman:DSS went after only those judges whose arrest warrant were issued. Btw, why will they arrest Justice Abang Ekong, what is/are his offense(s) ? |
cktheluckyman:Abduction ? With arrest warrant. ? Do you think Wike will do the same as the CSO of the state if it was u that was been arrested. Liman called Wike because both are united in corruption, Wike responded to the cry of an ally |
cktheluckyman:Yeah talk is cheap, so what ? Why was Wike trying to stop DSS from arresting Liman ? United by corruption I guess |
There is nowhere in the world where you have election without rigging, absolutely nowhere... This one na landslide sha |
There is UNITY IN CORRUPTION.. Governor Wike wanted to commit suicide to save Justice Liman, a Muslim, Hausa/fulani, a Northerner, Aboki and Buhari's brother. Are they not supposed to be fighting? The way Wike did to obstruct Liman's arrest, definitely he can't render such assistance to Rev. Father Mbaka... An unusual circumstances at unsual time demands an unusual response upon unusual people. Where else do you see an agent of the law; a judge for that matter, this massively corrupt and nobody did anything about it? |

The Kaduna State Government has issued an Order declaring the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) an unlawful society. This action is taken in the exercise of the government’s duty to preserve peace and security in the state, and to ensure that all persons and organisations are guided by lawful conduct and with due allegiance to the Nigerian state and its Constitution. The Kaduna state executive council approved the making of this order following deliberations at its meeting of Thursday, 06 October 2016. The Order, which has been signed by the Governor, draws on powers vested by the Constitution and the laws of Kaduna State. Section 45 (1) of the Constitution categorically vests in the Governor the powers to take such measures and actions as are necessary for the promotion and protection of: public safety, public order, public morality or public health; or the rights and freedom of all persons in Kaduna State. Section 97A of the Penal Code (Cap 110, Laws of Kaduna State, 1991) empowers the Governor to declare as an unlawful society any organisation whose activities are dangerous to the security and good governance of the state. The Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the Zaria Clashes of 12-14 December 2015 found that the IMN is not a registered organisation, that it has a paramilitary wing and that its members do not recognise or respect the laws of the country and the duly constituted authorities that have the responsibility to secure and administer the country. The Declaration Order noted that since the regrettable events in Zaria which resulted in the loss of 347 lives, the IMN “has overtly continued with unlawful processions, obstruction of public highways, unauthorized occupation of public facilities including schools without regard to the rights of other citizens and the public peace and order of the State”. The Order noted that “these acts, if allowed to go unchecked will constitute danger to the peace, tranquillity, harmonious coexistence and good governance of Kaduna State”. The Declaration Order, which comes into effect on Friday, 7 October 2016, provides for the prosecution of persons that may be in breach of its provisions under the laws of Kaduna State: “Whoever manages, or is a member of the said Society under any appellation or mutation with the propensity of causing the breakdown of law and order, or operates in a manner dangerous to the good governance of the State shall, from commencement of this order, be prosecuted in accordance with the Laws of Kaduna State.” Sections 97A and 97B of the Penal Code prescribe a penalty of imprisonment for seven years or a fine or both for any person convicted for belonging to an unlawful society. The Kaduna State Government reaffirms its vigorous commitment to upholding the right of citizens to practice the religion of their choice. These are rights fully protected by Sections 38 and 40 of the Constitution. Such rights to freedom of thought and worship must however be exercised in ways that do not infringe on the rights of others, and should not subject other people to distress and inconvenience. |

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has stepped up moves to save his job by reaching out to influential party members and stakeholders. Last Sunday, September 25, National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, wrote him an open letter where he alleged that Odigie-Oyegun colluded with mercenary forces to forge the delegates list used for the September 3 governorship primary of the party in Ondo State. Besides, Tinubu also accused him of subverting the decision of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) when he submitted the name of Chief Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the candidate. Regardless, before the September 28 governorship poll in Edo State, Odigie-Oyegun told newsmen he would meet with President Muhammad Buhari on the matter. Daily Sun, however, gathered that five days after the poll, Odigie-Oyegun is yet to meet with the President. A source in the NWC said, “the Presidency has scheduled the national chairman to meet with the President. There was definitely no meeting last week. We don’t know when the meeting between our chairman and the President will take place. We are hoping it will be this week.” However, Odigie-Oyegun reportedly took his case to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who is a chieftain of the party at the weekend. Another source told Daily Sun that he “met with Atiku and presented his case. Remember that he said last week that most of what Tinubu wrote in his letter were not true. He told Atiku that everything concerning the Ondo primary was collective and that, it was not true that the NWC didn’t have input into submission of Akeredolu’s name as the party’s candidate…” This is even as the party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Timi Frank, wrote an open letter to the President, urging him to investigate Tinubu’s allegations if the ruling party must move forward. In a letter addressed to President Buhari yesterday, Frank said the national chairman lacked the capacity to manage the party, noting that the former Edo State governor has not been able to resolve any crisis in the party since APC came to power. He said: “Tinubu had in his letter published last Monday and titled, “Oyegun’s Ondo fraud: The violation of democracy in the APC,” accused the embattled national chairman of unilaterally rejecting the report and recommendations of the three-member Election Appeal Committee chaired by Mrs. Helen Bendega, which called for the cancellation of the poll that produced Rotimi Akeredolu, (SAN) and the submission of his name to INEC by Odigie-Oyegun. Frank detailed the alleged misdeeds of the national chairman to include, poor handling of the National Assembly leadership tussle, the Bayelsa State governorship primary, among others, observing that “injustice had become the order of the day” under Odigie-Oyegun. He appealed to President Buhari not to treat the allegation of bribery raised by Tinubu with levity. “This allegation of bribery raised by Asiwaju Tinubu as regards the recent Ondo governorship primary should be of concern to all well-meaning party leaders and elders and should not be swept under the carpet or taken with levity. These weighty allegations should and must be properly investigated because of course, ‘there is no smoke without fire.’’ The letter addressed to President Buhari reads in part: “Mr. President, Sir, it is with great enthusiasm and patriotism that I’ve decided to write you once again through this open letter to intimate you on the impending danger that could befall our great party and I’m optimistic that this letter will serve its urgency and purpose of reaching you and our leaders and elders of our great party. “Mr. President, Sir, I wish to reiterate my earlier stand on this matter and I’m also elated that I’ve been vindicated in my struggle to save our party all the while, when so many thought of me as a rebel or paid apologist. “It is therefore, no secret that I was one of the very first persons in the party who took the bull by the horns and openly raised the alarm of urgent issues which had to be addressed in order to steer the APC ship in its right course. “Suffice to say that all my efforts to plead with the party leadership to redirect its affairs fell on deaf ears as no one took me seriously at the time. You may recall Mr. President, that the origin of this crisis began when the issue of the National Assembly leadership arose and the decision of the party at the time against party members, especially against the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representative. I foresaw the impending cracks at the time when the party leaders ignored the injustice against these two persons and I subsequently raised viable concerns which still fell on deaf ears. “Again, when I raised concerns against the manner in which Chief Odigie-Oyegun handled the conduct of the Bayelsa State governorship primary that produced the APC candidate, no one listened to me, and alas, the outcome of that election became a clear testament to my alleged fears. “Subsequently, when my immediate boss, Alhaji Lai Mohammed became the Minister of Information, I was supposed to immediately fill in the gap and act in his stead as enshrined in our party constitution as the acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, but this was not to be as I was outrightly being persecuted for reasons unknown and perhaps for selfish interest. “I was deprived from performing my duties and my duties were assigned to themselves. It is worthy to note that today, we are witnessing the same concerns and fears being expressed by one of the founding fathers of our great party, who also doubles as a national leader agreeing with my earlier call that Chief Odigie-Oyegun should resign as the National Chairman. “Mr. President, Sir, the episode of the recent Ondo primary is just one case too many befalling the APC under the leadership of Chief Odigie-yegun and I’m therefore, challenging Chief Odigie-Oyegun to tell Nigerians if he has been able to mediate over any crisis that has been successful. “As far as I am aware, APC under Odigie-Oyegun has not been able to resolve any crisis in the party since we became the ruling party. Chief Odigie-Oyegun has shown that he lacks the capacity to resolve all the crisis currently rocking our party in nearly all the states of the federation,” he wrote. Besides Tinubu, Atiku also last week called for a more transparent approach in the management of the party affairs by the National Working Committee, led by Chief Odigie-Oyegun. While faulting the rejection of the recommendations of Mrs. Helen Bendega-led three-man committee on the Ondo State primary by the APC NWC, Atiku admonished the party leadership to always be guided by respect for the rules, fairness, equity, neutrality and respect for democratic consensus. “It was wrong for the APC to have set aside a resolution it had reached aimed at resolving the crisis in our party in Ondo State. It is a recipe for acrimony and division,” the former vice-president said then. |
