Why the course
My undergraduate degree was in economics, I want to gain advanced knowledge of the course to prepare me for my career goal. This course will also provide me with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to achieve my career goal

Why Germany
Germany offers high quality education at zero tuition. The quality of education in Germany combines theoretical learning and practical training which produce graduates that are well Prepared for the work environment

Why not UK, USA
The cost of education and cost of living in these countries is high

Facts about Germany

Why not Nigeria
The quality of education in Nigeria and level of infrastructure cannot be compared to that in Germany. The unstable educational system in Nigeria will make it difficult to complete this course in due time

Plans after studies
I plan to return back to my country and contribute my quota to the growth and development of my country. I plan venturing into Economic consulting. This would enable me provide the private sector and public institutions with information and policies needed to achieve there goals.

Before the interview while she was typing my details she asked basic economics questions like what is GDP, inflation, father of economics, school name, course, school region. Also its best to give points(at least 3) and not stories when answering interview questions

I would do exactly same if I was in your position

Either A or B i have canceled B and booked A not because of the bandwagon effect but because I have a scholarship (which the embassy did not state the minimum amount required explicitly) even if it is (€350) I still have my proof in case things go south and I would block my funds once I get appointment date and before going for my interview.

Bro there are two boxes there.. Abuja(has no asterisk) and scholarship... The asterisk on the scholarship was intensional

It's possible the scholarship tick stuff might be a programming glitch. After hearing from them directly what excuse do you have for not booking A.

If you have doubts call the embassy directly and hear from them. Stop second guessing.

What course did he study in Germany??

Just my small advice. If you are planning to remain in DE after graduating, before leaving Nigeria for any course of study especially for those going for masters, make your research and ask a lot of questions aboutthe market value of that course as regards getting a job in DE. I just got off the phone with a friend who is lamenting badly that he was not informed before he left, he would not have taken that course. No hope of job, just struggling. Guys that met him in DE, some got jobs even before graduating while still doing their thesis.

The simple thing is don't use an admission letter that the period for enrollment has passed for visa application.. Either get the enrollment extended, or enroll by proxy if possible (and provide embassy with a proof) you can always de enroll and go to your preferred school
I would say you make the payment for which ever one u choose to use for appointment (am sure you would get a document from them stating either you have enrolled or your enrollment process has started and what next to do, then u can go with such document for your appointment, so if the VO spots the passed enrollment, you would has a defense)

exactly thank you very much, on one AL the enrollment deadline is boldly written as June 30th and the other AL the enrollment deadline is not written on it but on the email the enrollment fee deadline is written as June 21st, because my plan is to use one of the AL and show up at another school, if i use the second AL do you think my visa will be bounced back by the alien office,when they check with the school and find out that i have not paid the enrollment fees before the fee payment deadline

forgive my plenty questions, im just worried

Wait o, I need to clarify what I read on this thread now. If you have AL from two schools, is it true that once you have enrolled in one school you can't switch to another school once you get to Germany ?

When I did my Interview, the vo checked my enrollment deadline and when my study is to begin...
If you enrollment has elapsed without you enrolling and providing a proof to the embassy, there is no way the interview will hold and even if it holds, there is a High probability you would get a rejection based on the fact your enrollment has passed without you enrolling...

July/August appointment date is still very feasible if your block account is ready
My brother ride on with your application. Go and start preparing for your interview.. Don't cancel or shift anything till you are at the point were there is no longer any option

Please guys I need your advice on my case, I just got admission to study IT engineering at Wedel in Germany, but my problem now is that I have not received an appointment date from the consulate and my resumption date is Oct first, from the Information I got from the German website, it takes time to get the appointment and the visa processing done, so am now scared ,the time I have won't be enough which is 15th of May to 30th September. For me to get the visa, so I requested for an extension in start date from the school they said they can only shift my start date to next semester, so my dilema now is can I still use the admission letter given to me to continue the visa process or should I cancel the appointment and wait for next semester to start the visa application all over again. And I was asked to make a quick decision by the school , so please what would you advice me to do.

Its normally. Some schools application form on uniassist don't have provision for signing
If its your first application with uniassist post it that way with other documents.. But if uniassist already have your complete documents then no need posting the form

This particular question has been addressed a million times here. Do read previous parts, its for your own good

I thought I was supposed to print out and sign the filled application form from uniassist website. But after filling the form on their site there is no place where my signature is needed on the pdf form/print. Did I miss something, I am planning to send the form to uniassist tomorrow . Pls folks who have done it before, do you sign on any part of the form before sending it to uniassist or just send it that way.

The application forms already carry the names of the school.. But if u would feel more at ease writing it on the envelop then you can..no negative effect at all

For block account, Go to play store and download fintiba app. If u follow the instructions and steps correctly, your block account should be ready within 48hrs. You don't need to go to the German embassy

Above is the link to book appointment..If you have scholarship from a German organization then book under category A if not book category B

For the documents required for visa processing(I e documents you would present on your interview day) visit the German embassy site(https://nigeria.diplo.de/), go to visa>>student visa, you would see the student visa checklist(PDF) on that page

Finally read previous pages starting from part5 you would see possible interview questions and other resourceful information.

Ps: I was told by some guy that the process has changed that I need to apply five months to ahead of departure. How true is this info.

You are not certifying anything just scan your documents and send via email as stated on the application website. Ensure u follow the instruction on the site
And yes they accept proficiency letter from your school

on their website, no IELTS is required. please I want to know if I should certify my docx before sending and if it is okay to get English Proficiency Certificate letter from my school.

I observed they only consider people with a bachelor's in economic(everyone I know that got admit there has a bachelor's degree in economics) that applied Early and v a good cgpa.

Yes, I tried other schools. MSc. Siegen was my fail-safe application as I am originally from the social sciences but moving into IT, hence the surprise at their very quick rejection . I already have an MSc in IT!

Some schools permit it while some don't.. So send a mail to the school to find out

Yes..with 100l-300l or 100l-final year transcript(+certificate if completed the final year).. You can get direct general admission to any university in Germany for bsc even when its not related to your previous Course.

Yes they are different(tho majority of German insurance company offers both) and non is needed for student visa interview
Go to the embassy site under student visa and download the checklist for student visa
For travel insurance, you would be asked by the embassy through e-mail to provide that after a successful interview (usually 4-8weeks after your interview)
For health insurance, that would be needed when you get to Germany
