I got AM without funding tho I was given 30days to fund.. a friend of mine also got AM without funding and wasn't given any deadline to fund.. so it depends on who is handling your application extrema: Please house I have questions:
I have interview on the first week of Sept. I already have AL but BA is not yet complete (hoping for a miracle) and I don't have SL yet.
Though I have already opened Blocked Account. My question is can one get an AM without having funded?
Cos I don't know if I will be able to fund one month after my interview.
And when one gets the AM, how long will the embassy give the person to provide source of fund?
Thanks |

It's been there for like a month now You are obviously not on student visa application booking page cherche: Please guys I saw this on their website when I tried to book an appointment. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to the very high demand the consulate apologizes for not being able to offer more appointments for student visa applications for the winter semester 2019/2020 as we are fully booked out.
But I went in still and saw a few appointment dates. Now, I am not sure if it is for visa interview or just certification of documents as stated on their sites. |

I think the message on the site is clear enough and people with 12th got another appointment mail for 13th. Though for peace of mind you can still go check tomorrow. Hurby: Happy holidays everyone. Please what happens with people who have their visa appointment tomorrow(12th August), now that they have stated on their website that they will be closed. I await your response please. Thank you! |

Please is it advisable to put an appointment letter of a new permanant job (say 2/3 months old job) to the documents submitting for Visa Interview? Knowing fully well that granting leave is not possible.

Very clear now Adhheir: Conditional Admission is different from language school admission that can only get you a language visa. @fabcol is obviously talking about language visas, you cannot work on a language visa or convert it to a student visa, you have to exit and reapply for a student visa after the duration of your language course which is usually not more than a year.
Language visa is different from student visa, conditional admissions get you student visas but they sometimes go south especially when the prior language possessed is insufficient. You both know what you're talking about but I guess you don't understand yourselves.
Short term visas are not in this category which prompted fabcol's answer to the guy, or did your friends travel On short term visas and extended it?
Mit freundlichen Grüßen |

Oh ok then Philfit: Truth is that once he can say why he wants to study the course and why he chose a German taught course, they wont care what level of German language he is in. i know about 4 guys in DE right now who used conditional admission for a German taught program without any proficiency in German and more testimonies to come this winter . All he needs to show is proof he is going to do the German language course (payment notification to the language school, and language contract) this way they are sure of his purpose of going to DE |

Actually I gave a reply based on what he wrote.. embassy wouldn't give him visa to go start A1 in Germany(whether with school admission or not) when there is Goethe that is far cheaper in Nigeria. If he had German knowledge to like A2 level then he has a good chance. But again weird things happen on this journey. [quote author=Philfit post=81100047]It depends, if he was actually given an admission for a full study program and asked to do a language course as one of the requirements then his visa would not be denied. it would be treated as a student visa, all he needs is the confirmation from whichever language school he registers in that he has paid and would start on so so date plus his schools admission letter for the study program with the condition. If its just an admission from a language school only, then it would be denied due to your stated reasons /quote] |

Firstly, their is Goethe Lagos where you can learn German far cheaper (60k or so per level).. this is enough reason to deny your application Secondly you booked the wrong category. Language course is supposed to be booked under long stay.. another reason to be denied. Thirdly short stay isn't extendable.. that's why it's short stay Their are alot of English taught courses in Germany, I wonder how you missed them. If that's your dream course and school learn German here in Nigeria via Goethe to the required level and apply. Or search for English taught courses on daad.de for summer and apply elpatron95: Good morning I applied for bsc in environmental technology and resources management in Ruhr Universität Bochum, but I was told to register for German language first since I don't have a language proficiency in German. I registered and the said I was to pay 500 per level for the language course. The course takes 3months per level I went to check on appointment dates at the German embassy and was told that appointment booking have closed for the year and I confirmed that on the website too. But short term visa appointment is still very available, I was planning on paying for 2 levels , A1 and A2 which will be 6months but since appointment have closed for long term, I decided that I would pay for just A1 and apply for the short term of 3months and when I get there I will extend.
Please I need tips on the interview, likely questions that I might be asked |

I don't know how the verification is done but I know if you have a fake stamp on your passport be sure the visa application would be denied even after getting AM. It seem wiser to use a new password for application if u have such on your old passport Edwinmuyi: Please what do you mean by verifying travel history on passport? Do you mean they will write to countries you have been to, to verify you or what? What if you're now using a new passport and the visa is no longer on it ? |

Hmmmm Since you have a better option think it through. Yes, it is very possible to get your AM and Visa in 5weeks if everything goes smoothly but N/B a slight delay during the process like, verifying travel history on your passport after AM(if u have any), holidays, lazy vo, how fast is the person handling your document at the foreign office, VP, etc can make you lose going this winter if the school decides not to extend further. You can always switch to your prefferd school or course after a semester or a year. LexRE: Thank you. I have funded already. Also I just got another admission for a later date but I’m well invested on the one with 26 September we deadline |

You can do it twice... olatunji1187: Please do we have people in the house who have funded their Fintiba account with new amount? How did you go about it from Nigeria.
I opened domiciliary account, and intend to make the transfer through it, but I heard that the maximum amount u can transfer once is 9000 Euro. Meanwhile Fintiba insist that the transfer must be made once (10450 Euro), else some additional documents will be required which may evenctually delay the process because of verification. |

Problem? Your interview would still hold even without funding...go with the funding confirmation you got from fintiba for your interview. If the embassy requires the balance(which I learnt would take effect from Sept 1), you would be informed by mail or your vo would tell you to pay the complete balance and send via mail. Be rest assured your interview would go on with or without the complete fund but your visa application wouldn't be fully processed if not provided when/if required Rhockie: @Fabcool, Could you please help me understand.
I have paid 9k already to Fintiba and they've given me the visa documents , i just found out about the increment. Would it be a problem because i don't think I'll be able to raise the remaining before the interview date. |

SL processing takes long, it's best to submit before AM Larox: Greetings Nairalander,
If someone summits BA open confirmation in an interview and also sign the agreement to fund, later on when he get a SL, can he go to the embassy to summit the SL before AM? of he should wait for AM before summiting the SL?
