Nacho played behind Osimhen in our last 2 games. Having Moffi included might not give Osi and Nacho the space to operate in attack, also our midfield will be too thin to defend against counter-attack. That's the formation that got Lampard sacked. Playing one or no DM..
Arabiandude: Watching Moffi highlights, I am thinking if we should play Iheanacho as a 10(AM), behind Osimhen and Moffi in attack? Osimhen and Moffi both seems too good and none should be on the bench for any in the SE.
Iheanacho played behind Success and later Awoniyi at the U17 and he did excellently well
The idiot actually does spend most of his time in the romance section. You are spot-on, bro! He does not deserve my time!
Arabiandude: Why do you have to insult him now? Ever since you graced this thread, you have just been behaving like Father of all here. Insult people at will and whatnot.
Take your time make men nor reason your matter outta here. If you aren't matured enough to be here, kindly take your monicker and zoom to romance section
That 2010 team was one of the best Nigerian teams in a world cup tournament. But the coach cost us! Yakubu, Mikel, Martins, Ogbuke, Taiwo etc.
forgiveness: Nigeria was not bad against Greece and Korea.
We controlled the game and scored a goal from the start till Sani got red card and Taiwo got injured. Even Echiejile that replaced him got injured and we were forced to use a makeshift player on the LB.
In fact, we had two clear one on one chances with the goalkeeper despite the red card but the striker blew away those two chances.
Against Korea, the ball wasn't just going in. Yakuba missed the golden chance.
They were average and were also lucky against France! Trezeguet missing an open goal
Arabiandude: That Senegal 2002 team weren't average, individually they were very good. From Fadiga to Diouf to Camara, etc.
Rohr is conservative I know, but so we have the defence to withstand world class attackers if Rohr chose to go solely attacking?
Have you watched PSG this season in the UCL since Pochetino took over? He plays a kinda formation where every other players defend, leaving only Parades in CM and Neymar, Mbappe, Di Maria and Icardi or someone else pairing them upfront to do the scoring. That's why you hardly see other players scoring for PSG except their forward players and it has worked for PSG so far. So I think it will also work on the World stage for the SE, leaving only our Forward players to do the scoring, leaving maybe Aribo as a CM, while others do the defending. Osimhen, Iheanacho, Chukwueze and Maybe Iwobi are capable goalscorers
ChrisKels: What a strike, when I thought his last goal against Marseille was classic, now this? Wow!
One thing that makes me believe so much in this boy is the work he has put in. Dude was looking bulky until the move to Lorient. Now he looks so trimmed and faster while maintaining his usual stupendous predatory instincts. His striking techniques is elite. He is made for the big clubs.
Dessers chose the wrong nation to represent, even Tammy made a wiser decision by choosing the easier option - England
Afobear: I was banned for a year , but I'm back to stay now. Don't engage me if I didn't engage you and I got alot of mentions from this particular thread for no just cause. Who trades Crypto here on Binance ? I need to learn
Haaaa! Football no easy oo. That's why I am sometimes furious with guys trash-talking our players. These guys made it out of nothing! Zero structure and support.
ChrisKels: Chai! See as talent waste, if not for that injury you probably would have gone pro. Quite a pity
I do think he plays for Sheffield Wednesday. Strong and fast defender!
ChrisKels: This is Osaze Uroghide the Nigerian tank wanted by Leeds United, Crystal Palace and Watford. He is a center back, and has been the best player for his championship club since this year. Dude is immense and we should be getting him in the fold. He is exactly the kind of center back we need, very strong with tackles, strong with concentration, very strong aerially, hard to be beaten on one-on-one, a big goal threat etc
Keeper? Not at all Chriskels. You are talking to a left-wing forward. Unfortunately, I can't play soccer again. I sustained a career-ending injury playing the 2002 Dean's cup final at Unilorin!
ChrisKels: Where Una play the match? for Hopkins stadium ani Agege township stadium? Was Andrew there abi who we go ask?
Lol I thought Fabyom was the guy that said he was once a goalkeeper? Oh! na Tbaba1234 wet din fat like blom-blom stomach?
The talent and passion cannot be questioned! Osi will have no competitors for the Seria A Golden Boot next season! His gonna shut haters up!
charlesemeka85: Victor Osimhen appears to have found his form at Napoli but still experts are divided over whether he has justified his big-money transfer.
Former Italy striker Bruno Giordano said Osimhen is not worth the over 80 million Euros Napoli splashed for him last summer
“I don’t know if the Nigerian is worth so much. I know that Haaland at Borussia costs less and so it is logical that the square should question itself given the high expectations surrounding Victor, who is only 22 years old,” Giordano argued.
“He has different characteristics from the other Napoli strikers and this season his growth has been held back by all the injuries he has had.”
However, former Inter Milan star Benoit Cauet said he believes the Super Eagles striker is back to his best
“Osimhen is showing interesting things, he is finally making the plays he did at Lille,” Cauet told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
Osimhen has so far netted five goals in 22 appearances for Napoli this season.
I said US junior team (U17) not NBA junior team. Thank you for clarifying my assumptions. Indeed, he is a proud Nigerian and the United States is taking notice of us (Nigerians) in a very good way! Specifically, academics and sports!
BascoVanVeli: No there is no junior team for NBA players. He played U17 when he was in highschool. I will go out on a limb and say he is well in tune to his Nigerian side just knowing the region he is from plus the fact his parents are from naija.
He does answer Nigeria related questions. Just like when he told a reporter that naija players are so good because of the food
The fact is that nobody on Earth will refuse playing on the dream team. Even Hakeem the Dream played for them so our best bet is to catch them before they even get to that level.
Okoro is a special talent. He is on the United States Junior team. He feels more American, unfortunately. He was exceptional against my Miami Heat!
BascoVanVeli: I have already said we should break away from CAF if west African countries exit CAF the organization will die. Really Pinnick should take that idea to the next CAF meeting and put an end to theregional qualifying nonsense at the youth level.
BTW have u heard of Isaac Okoro on the Cleveland Cavs. Boy looks special
I do think we underestimate our midfield and defense a lot. The Aribo that played Brazil and Ukraine can compete with any midfielder in his position in Africa. Speed, Elegance, Skills, and Scoring! Playing on the Africa bad pitches is the only challenge for Aribo. Ndidi, Aribo, and Nacho/Iwobi midfield triangle is second to none in Africa and one of the best in the world on current form! Balogun/Ajayi, Ekong/Akpoguna, Ebuehi/Awaziem, Sanusi/Aina, please tell me a country with better depth in Africa. Had it been Mikel and Kalu were fit at the 2019 AFCON, we would have won it with ease!
