patostation: You are very correct. The press would have "paparazzied" the girl and her mum and the stigma would have been unbearable. Some people will come forward and face the stigma but many won't.
In some other countries, other methods of establishing guilt like DNA, fingerprints and other samples that may have been left behind will be used. Let any rapist or pervert go and try it in US or UK! We still have along way to go in criminal justice system. Kindly profiled your assertions. Do you think an Igbo family will not come forward against a Yoruba teacher in this case? I'm not trying to be a tribalist, but this is the way our heart beats in Nigeria. You should know there are cases of molestation in Nigeria courts and people will continue to come forward. I have a strong believe this is a case of APC witch hunting PDP. |

coolviv: Say the truth, if your daughter was among...will you come forward? I will not only come forward. The teacher would have seen a hell on earth. Will spend the last of all I have got to fight and fight hard. I will deploy forensic experts if their is a need for that. All these I will do in order to free the molested child. Mind you, I'm a parent that has beautiful and brilliant daughters in both primary and secondary schools. This is a case of slander, and all of you feminists should apologise to this man. Kindly remember that the teacher also has a family. In truth, what will be your reaction if the teacher is your brother or uncle? |
Education › Re: Queen's College Sexual Molestation Scandal : Accused Teacher Exonerated by fadhill: 8:10am On May 14, 2016 |
LaRochelle: I'm sure all of you talking never attended a female-only unity college. That girl can never cook up such story. Didn't you hear when the man told the girl that no matter who she reports to, she will be the one who leaves the school, not him? That he is protected by the Principal, or was it Vice-Principal?
Do you really think that the Ministry of Education did a thorough job? Even if they did, the fact they could not come up with some evidence doesn't mean he's guilty; after all, some criminals are adjudged "not guilty" where the opposition can't present enough evidence.
Queens' College has a large reputation. Do you honestly think they would want to taint that by providing evidence? They know public bad perception can ruin the work they have been doing for years. I am not saying that they assisted him; I am saying they might have put the truth in a more suitable form to them.
We have one of those kinds of men in female colleges. It usually takes guts to report them, and takes extra grace for students to provide enough evidence. That's how we disgraced one stupid paedophile Mr Biola, because we were able to set him up. If we hadn't, no one would have believed us.
So, I say to all of you who don't know shingbai about how these things work: keep quiet instead of saying offensive stuff. I strongly believe he is/was guilty; and yes, I'm talking with both emotion and reason. Kindly come out your feminism infection. How are you so sure that the teacher commit this offence or that the acusser really exist? The problem of feminist like you is inferiority complex and unexplainable anger of sorts that you had abore. You have passed judgement on a event that adjudged virtually non existed. I bet if you are a judge in this matter the teacher would have been judged without trial. And do you really think the Education Ministry did not do a thorough job? Do you know this girl or the parents? The police and NGO, and some feminists e-warriors have not been able to establish the identity of this accuser. This case appear to me as a slander against the teacher. |

mployer: The Greek is using Euro. The currency is still strong but their economy has collapsed. So what is your point?
Strong currency doesn't mean strong economy. Strong economy is brought about by investor confidence. This erratic polices will weaken the investor confidence and we may end up like Greece. FYI, Greek problem began when they started defaulting on loans, both lenders and and investors lost confidence in them and they went down. In fact, by records the Greek economic problem started before it joined the European Union. Greek falsify records of its economic indices in order to be admitted into the European Union. It wouldn't have been this worse for the Greek if it operates within it currency enclave that it can whip to repeat the Greek economic miracle post WW II economic downturn. My point is that Greek probably faced the most devastating economic crisis of her democracy . For your information brother, Greek problem did not start when it defaulted on loans. If it did, the loan default is probably a symptom. And as both lenders and investors flee, Greek would have found socour in its currency and rebuild on the remnants. Greek was disadvantaged for it doest have economic identity in a currency of its own, the reason Greek need eat shit if that is the condition the economy that control euro bequith her. In our case, all the porn, horsy and castle that need rally for Naira the queen are falling. The onous is on the king, CBN , to take up the arms in order to savage the queen. As the dollar is beign subsidised, we should not expect the CBN to fold harms and let it go in the way of other subsidy. The fact is that Naira is weak to fight all alone , otherwise we will spend N2000 to buy a loaf of bread in nearest future. |

This is a step in the right direction from CBN. I bet this critical situation beg for critical steps. We need not blame those that boxed us at this juncture. This is no time for blame game. It is better we sacrifice to save Naira. Nigeria has the population advantage and if we can find the alternative to those restricted import goods, our enonomy will rally from within. With spendings on critical infrastructure and agriculture premised on Naira, our industry will bounce back. |

1freshdude: The Retail Dutch Auction System window operations, is based solely on actual demand of FOREX by the end users. it is an arrangement that allows the authorized dealers to request for only FOREX based on the actual application received from its end users. So you see the Dutch Auction System is probably not the problem. And, how would consumers survive before the import substitution plan, industries kick-off? parley there will be chaos. e have to do the first things first. Government has to invest in industries before they implement any import-substitution measures. How soon will these industries start running before Naira is rendered worthless. We need spend on critical infrastructure and agriculture which will make the economy move steadily. The time is now before the 2016 budget is unleashed. |

Harwoyeez: lemme give an analogy here, d rate dollars is been sold by cbn to banks and bdc's are diff and also on d streets, Y not all on d same official rate? haven't u seen a case where banks wil tell u to go n buy forex on d street? Do u remember when people buy dollars cheap in bank n sell at far higher prices on street some years back? Cbn won't stop dis shit because they make some shady deals tru it to give skin to your argument, this so called Banks have no genuine records of those that bought the dollar. This are what has been killing Naira could with some great missteps of pass government under economic voodooist as NO I. |
Business › Re: CBN Halts Branch Operations By Bureaux De Change #Emefieleconomics by fadhill: 9:57pm On Dec 14, 2015 |
Nairaland economists, you should be sure that the economists and risk analyst at the CBN knows what they are doing. But we need to learn from the Greek missteps. If Naira is allow to ride self in the situation it found self. Naira ha been a maltreated orphan that needs serious protection from CBN. Foreign reserve has been deflated by previous government and no domestic strength either in the form of manufacturing and so much loopholes in government pockets. Again, recurrent expenditure has been on the loose even when crude sell above 100 dollars. I repeat, if CBN should make the battered orphan called Naira war it on its own. Ours will be worse than Greek. The implication that Naira will be taken as hostage and we will loose it as it happens in Zimbabwe. Thanks Emefiele and his team. I expected Naira should be in the range of N650 to a dollar this was my prediction had Jonathan is reelected. Also, the budget need spend so much on infrastructure which will be driven by Naira. Of course inflation but Nigeria will rebuild it's economy gradually. And Naira claim it's place in global economy. |

Rawani: PMB hit the nail on the head. This migrant crisis propaganda which seems to be another veiled white supremacy agenda, must be brought to an end. Those images of Africans drowning at the doorstep of the worlds wealthiest continent are simply sickening and the trend must be stopped.
At the same AU meeting two years ago to commemorate its 50th anniversary, we had to hide our faces in shame as our former President missed his speaking slot as he reportedly went to the toilet unannounced, bringing ridicule to the Giant of Africa.
Thank goodness now we have not just a President, but a committed African leader that is waking the AU to its responsibilities.
Well done sir. What do you mean, that president get drunk. |

And Buhari is even yet to enter the villa and as at then the new senate is yet to be formed....
QUESTION.. When last did we have a president working and not complaining that the troubles facing Nigerians in this country where not caused by him so no one should expect him to find solutions to them or even try to solve them Truth be told. Gos bless the President, may God bless Nigeria. |
