You are right in every word you typed, my brother.
The only reason I fancy Gernot Rohr to be retained if for the sake of continuity in the team. Not that he's the right personnel.
How can you continue with the wrong personnel

Admit that Rohr has done so much for this team but you hate him for personal reasons

Idowu can play at the left side of a 3-man CB. Too versatile to discard. Deji and Ikuowem can definely get a direct promotion to SE considering we don’t have much options at LB.However, they should still play a part in he Flying Eagles. Hence Duru, Deji and Ikuowem to compete at LB/LWB.
Has he played there before?

So Balogun to move to a slow French league to be more slower right?
He is already developed, expecting that a move to the premier league would improve his pace is wishful thinking

He needs a league that is already suited to his capabilities (Monaco or Lyon would not be bad options)

How? Uzoho didn't make any outstanding save that Ezenwa couldn't have made. Let's call a spade a spade, Ezenwa's time wasting antics was exactly needed in the last 10 mins of that Argentine game.
Uzoho tipped Messi's free kick to the bar, hope you watched the match

I think you are the one who should put sentiments aside because it seems you think it’s all English defender you see that starts for an elp club are there on merit? Balogun is a brave defender I don’t know what your definition of brave is. Then put that physical strength talk aside because that so wrong, balogun is not strong?? Nawa
Balogun is not the fastest but hoves duo are not considerably faster besides he’s no slouch and his reading of the game makes up for speed. why are you making it seem like Duffy and dunk are Ramos and varane which telepathic understandings that quality talent cannot better.
It’s obvious you think lowly of balogun saying he would not get 5games
French league would have better suited Balogun because it is slower and more technical

English league is for strong and fast players (and Balogun is lacking in these two aspects)

You saw how he struggled for pace against Di Maria and in the Iceland game?
In the Epl he is going to meet Aubameyang, Sterling, Vardy, Sane and the likes

Too much oyibo in our squad cost us. We lacked the typical African or South American mentality that could have seen us through 4 to 10mins of that game.

An Ezenwa in goal could have killed that game totally.
An Ezenwa in goal would have conceded three or four

We were totally overwhelmed in the game even the coach was caught ball watching

Duffy and Dunk are one of the greatest partnership in Epl that's why the whole team is built around them

I am not hyping the duo but I know the stuff they are made of, why do you think Brighton is one of the lowest conceding teams in the Epl

Balogun is not even a starter for Fc Mainz I don't see how he would displace either one of the two

P.s They don't even get injured (Balogun was injured 2 times in the space of four matches)

If we are to tell ourselves the truth and not wait for an article gushing about baloguns ability or some big club chasing him, balogun is in top three best defender in Africa when he’s fit! yes putting in mind benatia, koulibaly, hezagy and co. Particularly because his skill set are very rare.
Duffy and dunk are old school Epl defenders who boss all the blocks, clearances and headed duels, they are good but not top class, not even in contention for their national teams. For me seeing is conviction the Duffy and dunk I saw last season are not has good has balogun!
To start with balogun is not lacking when it comes to winning head duels, clearances maybe we’ve not seen enough blocked shots from him. Baloguns “international footballer” status will make him a starter in Brighton, I don’t think they have a better interceptor of the ball in defense than Leon, he reads the game way better than their defensive combo but what really sets him apart from them is his ball playing abilities. Brighton need brains in their defense, they got the perfect defender.
Abeg put sentiment aside, Duffy and Dunk are brave strong defenders (Leon does not possess much physical strength)

They have considerable pace (Balogun is also lacking in this area)

My greatest worry is that they both possess a telepathic connection, each knows what the other is going to do next which is a fan favorite

I don't think Balogun will get up to 5 games next season

Sit it seem you want us to go into Keshi vs Rohr comparison

I can bet it with you Rohr cannot beat Bosnia and beating Iran not realistic, hope you watched Iran in 2014 and 2018.

Keshi would come out of this group with at least 4 point.

Pls for now don't compare the duo.
[/s]

Keshi did not beat Iran

We came out lucky 1-0 winners over Bosnia with an Edin Dzeko disallowed goal

Argentina thrashed us comfortably 3-2

We struggled out of the group to meet France who thumped us 2-0 What are you saying sef?

Can you remember a performance at the last world cup that was as good as our 2-0 victory over Iceland

Or can you remember a defensive resilience as our defeat against Argentina?

Please don't hype this man up. Keshi did better at his first world cup. Any decent coach would've noticed Ebuehi, Uzoho and Idowu.
Tactically he messed up and might not be good for our young attacking players.
Keshi was in a group with Bosnia and Iran, this man was in the group of death but he managed to place above Iceland and almost beat Argentina despite bookmakers prediction

Learn to appreciate a good thing when you have it

Those calling for Rohr's head have you seen Nigeria defend so well prior to the Argentinian game

Have you seen Nigeria play a 3-5-2 before Rohr

Did you know Ebuehi, Idowu Uzoho prior to their introduction by Rohr

The man has his shortcomings but he is the best coach we have had since Clemence Westerhof(I hope you counter that)

Many of Nigerians are ingrates smh

Egbon, I'm very surprised at you Sir

Rohr is reponsible for our early ouster

A better coach could've gone farther with the resources and free hand given but not Rohr

He picked his players, he picked Ighalo, Onazi, Idowu......and other pretenders

Does that mean we didn't have better?

Even during games, he hardly made subs when it mattered. You're still saying he should stick around

Did you not watch the Colombians and Mexicans play? Their coach instilled confidence...not Rohr (Mr "we are the underdogs"wink

He went ahead with an underperforming Ighalo and an Unfit Onazi......yet he should stay and be collecting money our local coaches were not supported with

It states so in his contract that we desire Quarter-finals

Please, he should go. This is a man that is not tactically sound. Now you think our FBs like Akpoguma and Udhokai would want to play for us nowhuh? Never

Looks like Tammy Abraham would be having his last laugh now.

Smh.........
[/s]

Hope you know Gernot Rohr made the team what it was today
