Bandit Shows Off Ransom Money To 3,000 TikTok Fans

In a video that went viral on social media, a bandit is seen showing off the money that his victims paid him as ransom.

The thief posted the video on TikTok, and a well-known security expert, Zagazola Makama, shared it on X with a comment.

Stupidity: Bandit on TikTok boasting and showing off the ransom money he got from his victims,” the tweet said.

Three thousand people follow the account’s owner. Some of them are thieves who freely show off their guns and are dressed in military or police uniforms.

“The TikTok platform has made it possible for terrorists to spread their message without any problems.”

PoliticsReno Omokri's Hatred For Peter Obi Has Become His Lifeline For Relevance by fairymonk(op): 12:49pm On Mar 25, 2024

Reno Omokri's Hatred For Peter Obi has become his lifeline for relevance in Nigeria

By Comr Amos Kalu

It has become worrisome, absurd, and irritating to constantly listen to Mr Reno Omokri pontificating about the Labour Party Presidential candidate in the 2023 General Election, HE Dr. Peter Obi, (former governor of Anambra state) and an astute Businessman (Trader) who he sees as an enemy for frustrating all his gambled chances to come back to political relevance after 2023. The Peter Obi tsunami that upset the apple cart of many seems to have become a bitter pill for Reno Omokri to swallow like many have done and moved on.

It is very surprising that Reno Omokri suddenly stopped talking about his candidate in the same election, HE Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (former Vice President of Nigeria and versatile businessman). He hardly mentions Atiku any longer even though he showed to have loved him so much during the campaigns of 2023, rather he suddenly became a self-assigned spokesperson of Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu (the Nigeria President).
Does it mean that Reno Omokri is a fair-weather politician whose loyalty is to the highest bidder?

For instance, it is a known fact that he was a staunch supporter of Peter Obi whom he once called "THE MESSIAH" for Nigerians. But his love later turned to hatred when Peter Obi informed him that he doesn't give "Shi Shi", the hatred has grown too thick for comfort and is no longer possible to hide. The only thing he hasn't criticized Peter Obi on is how he possibly makes love to his wife at home.

Be that as it may, Nigerians see through every Nigerian. If Mr Omokri bothered to stop, pause, and think, he should have known by now that people have grown wary of his endless tantrums and inability to be consistent and realistic about the Nigerian political atmosphere and when to keep quiet. Even if he is paid to constantly attack Peter Obi (who doesn't even pay heed to his noise), at least he should apply little sense to it and less emotional outburst so that his playmate's money can be justified.

During the Okuama Massacre and Reprisals, Omokri was silent

Strangely, 17 soldiers were killed in Reno Omokri's home state and some angry soldiers invaded and sacked the whole community in a reprisal attack. Every Nigerian with a conscience took sides and condemned the atrocities from all sides. Unfortunately, Omokri did not tweet about it either for or against the community or the avenging soldiers because for him it was not worth his attention as far as it is not about Peter Obi. Rather, he chose the auspicious time to attack Dr. Peter Obi for not celebrating the Naira value gain from N1,900 to N1,600 per dollar, even when he has no business with Tinubu's administration in any capacity, he simply likes crying more than the bereaved.

This singular miscalculation has earned him fierce attacks from Nigerians on social media. I will avail you of a few so that you can understand how Mr Omokri is now seen in the opinion of reasonable Nigerians.

OHANAEZE ANNOUNCES COUNTDOWN TO JANUARY 2025 ELECTION OF PRESIDENT GENERAL FROM RIVERS STATE

#Ndigbo Convergence at Asaba

On the 24th and 25th, of March 2024, Ndigbo from all walks of life gathered in Asaba, Delta State for an Easter retreat, dubbed Asaba Declaration.

It was aimed at challenging the misconceptions and misrepresentations held by the world, especially Nigerians, about the Igbo people. Despite facing unjust brutality, humiliation, and ostracism after the Civil War in 1970, the industrious spirit, vibrant energy, and entrepreneurial acumen of the Igbo have driven us to resurgence as a tribe. We have reclaimed our position as a leading light in Africa, particularly Nigeria, surmounting challenges and defying the negative labels imposed by past military leaders. We are therefore convinced that democracy, no matter the challenges, serves the Igbo egalitarian and enterprising spirit much better than meritocracy. As such, Ndígbo will always, as a matter of self-preservation, support Democratic rule while praying and working towards the deepening of Nigeria's democracy.

#Reaffirming Identity and Vision

In Asaba, Ndigbo redefined our identity as progressive Nigerians seeking a fair, equitable, and conducive environment to contribute meaningfully towards the greatness of Nigeria. We aim to replicate the economic success of Dr. Michael Okpara's era when the Eastern Region was known for its rapid growth in the 1960s. We are committed to self-help, communal efforts, and sustainable economic projects to propel the Igbo community forward.

#Resolutions of the Asaba Declaration:

#Think Home Philosophy

We commend the efforts of individuals such as Prof. Bath Nnaji and past and present governors of Abia State for spearheading initiatives like the Enyimba City power plant in Aba. We call on Igbo and non-Igbo governors to collaborate with Prof. Bath Nnaji to replicate such projects across Igbo-speaking states and Nigeria as a whole. Furthermore, we urge Igbo businesses to consider relocating their headquarters back to the homeland to facilitate growth and development.

#Regional Economic and Infrastructural Development

We appreciate the Federal Government's progress on various projects in the Southeast, such as the completion of the Onitsha Dry Seaport and the ongoing construction of the Second Niger Bridge. We encourage the utilization of the Onne Seaport for economic activities and advocate for regional railway connectivity to enhance trade and reduce costs. We also commend and urge the Governors of the Southeast and South-South geopolitical zones to collaborate with each other for common large-scale infrastructural projects like monorails.

#Nnamdi Kanu, Igbo Security, and State Police

We urge all non-state actors and Biafra agitators to cease violent activities to facilitate discussions with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the release of Nnamdi Kanu. We condemn hate speeches and inflammatory rhetoric, emphasizing the need for peaceful resolutions and dialogue. The implementation of state police is supported, with caution against misuse.

#President Tinubu Administration

Ndigbo's decision not to partake in anti-Tinubu protests demonstrates our unwavering support for his administration. At the retreat, President Tinubu was honored with the title "Nwanne-Di-Mba" in recognition of his contributions and inclusive leadership. We acknowledge the positive impact of Igbo individuals within his government.

#Ohanaeze Ndigbo Constitution and 2025 Elections

We reiterate our commitment to upholding the 2004 Ohanaeze Ndigbo constitution and calling for free and fair elections in 2025. The zoning of the President's General position to Rivers State is non-negotiable and must be respected. Therefore, in commitment to that duty we owe Ohanaeze Greats from Rivers like Senator Francis Ellah, Eze C.C. Nwuche, and Chief Emma Aguma, Ohanaeze hereby announces the Countdown to the January 2025 Ohanaeze Elections which shall produce a President General from Rivers State. As such, we urge Rivers State presidential hopefuls to commence consultations for the upcoming elections.

#Honouring Igbo Legends

A moment of reverence was held in memory of esteemed individuals of Anioma extraction, including Ambassador Raph Uwechue, Col Joe Achuzia, Chief Sunny Odogwu, H.E. Dr. Mrs. Maryam Babangida, Major Chukwuemeka Kaduna Nzeogwu, HRM Prof. Chike Edozien, Chief Emma Okocha and HRH Esther Dunkwu (Ọmụ Anioma). Their invaluable contributions to the advancement of Ndigbo remain prominent, and we salute their legacies that endure beyond time.

At least two police officers were killed in an attack on a patrol van along the historic Gariki Road in Okigwe Local Government Area, Imo State, by gunmen who had been thought to be insurgents.

OHAFIATV News obtained a Saturday Telegraph report, which stated that MOPOL 18 Owerri men were ambushed during a patrol in the early hours of Saturday.

According to reports, the gunmen engaged the officers in a protracted gunfight after throwing dynamite on their patrol car. They were believed to be part of the Indigenous People of Biafra’s (IPOB) armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

It was discovered that four officers had multiple injuries and two had died during the procedure.

The attack and horrific murder of Mopol 18 Owerri personnel by gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate Eastern Security Network (ESN) has been condemned, according to Imo Police spokesman Henry Okoye, who confirmed the incident.

“The disgruntled elements ambushed the officers in the early hours of today, March 23, 2024, while they were on patrol along old Gariki Road Okigwe. They threw dynamite on the officer’s patrol vehicle and engaged them in a protracted gunfight.” Four officers survived the onslaught, but two officers paid the ultimate price in the process.

He added that personnel of the Command’s Special Tactical Unit were sent to the crime scene right away for an evaluation by the police head and Commanders Mopol 18 and 64. The members were then tasked with working with other security services to pursue the attackers.

You’re not going to tweet now Naira appreciated in value; Reno Omokri criticises Obi

Sociopolitical activist Reno Omokri has once more attacked Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi for 2023, calling him an enemy of the nation.

On Sunday, Omokri criticised Obi and urged Nigerians to rejoice over the little improvement of their national currency versus the US dollar.

Omokri noted in a tweet on his official X feed that it’s important to recognise the meagre advancements being achieved in terms of the foreign exchange value.

He claims that the value of the naira against the dollar has continued to rise, with both official and black market prices being at ₦1610 to $1.

“Both the official and parallel markets continue to see appreciation in the floated Naira,” he added. It is now trading at ₦1610 to $1, up ₦6. Let’s rejoice in little victories like these. Are you aware of the reason? Because Nigeria’s adversaries would rejoice and pour out hate.

Consider Peter Obi as an example. When the Naira appreciates, he won’t tweet about it. When the Nigerian Stock Exchange tops the global profitability charts, he won’t post.

“According to the most recent NBS data, he will be absent when our GDP expands by 3.4%. When it’s announced that our oil imports have dropped by half, you won’t see him.

“But let something remotely negative occur and Obi will bring out his megaphones and start singing, ‘Go Tell It On The Mountains” .

Ohanaeze Condemns Okuama Massacre,  Sets To Immortalize Soldiers,   Honour Tinubu At Igbo-Asaba Retreat.

In the wake of the merciless Okuama Massacre that claimed the lives of 17 soldiers from the 181 Amphibious Battalion, we are engulfed in a profound mix of grief, anger, and contemplation. The loss of these valiant soldiers, who were on a mission of peace in the Okuama and Okoloba communities in Delta State, is a grievous tragedy that demands urgent justice and remembrance.

OHANAEZE NDIGBO stands resolutely beside the families of the fallen soldiers and the Nigerian Army, mourning the unfathomable loss of these courageous souls. The brutal killings of our soldiers are not just unacceptable, but barbaric, satanic, and cowardly acts that must not be left unpunished.

The people of Delta State must rise and ensure that those responsible for this heinous crime are swiftly brought to justice. The armed perpetrators and killers must be held accountable and face the full wrath of the law for their despicable actions, which have left a wound in the hearts of many that can never fully heal.

As we extend our heartfelt sympathies to the families of the fallen, particularly Major DE OBI and others who paid the ultimate sacrifice, we pledge to immortalize their memory. During the forthcoming 2024 Igbo Easter Retreat in Asaba, tributes will be paid to Major DE OBI and the other 16 gallant soldiers, ensuring that their bravery and sacrifice are never forgotten.

Furthermore, we stand firm in our conviction to honor President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the retreat, as a gesture of solidarity and support for his leadership in these challenging times. We urge political figures like Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Rabiu Kwankwaso to set aside their conflicts and join hands to assist Tinubu in tackling the economic and security crises plaguing our nation.

Let this be a clarion call for action, justice, and remembrance. Together, we must ensure that the fallen heroes are immortalized and that their memory serves as a beacon guiding us toward a future of unity, peace, and prosperity.

Signed,
MAZI OKECHUKWU ISIGUZORO

PoliticsAbaribe Ought To Resign For Syphoning N266 Million Meant For Underprivileged Peo by fairymonk(op): 12:44pm On Mar 15, 2024
Abaribe ought to resign for syphoning N266 million meant for underprivileged people of Abia South – Onyeizu bellows

https://ohafiatv.com/2024/03/15/abaribe-ought-to-resign-for-syphoning-n266-million-meant-for-underprivileged-people-of-abia-south-onyeizu-bellows/

Engr Chinedu Onyeizu, the Abia South Labour Party's senatorial candidate in the 2023 general election, has taken a swipe at Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe for secretly collecting N266m meant for poor Abia South constituents and pocketing it without considering the biting hunger in the land.

Onyeizu stated that it is regrettable that without Senator Ningi opening the can of worms in the senate, no one would have known that Abaribe got such a whopping sum of money meant for our people in Abia South.

Onyeizu stated:
"For Over 17 years, these monies and more are given to him for interventions and constituency projects, yet there are no visible projects to show for it. Today, his own village people can't use good roads because of decades of neglect. The poverty index of indigent people in his own community and local government is above the top 10% in Abia State. It's terrible! During elections, we see a man who returns with a few bags of fertilizer to pacify the hungry and abandoned farmers in his constituency.

Is it not most inhuman and sad that amid the abject hunger and poverty in the land, someone who was sent to represent his people will collect such an amount of money on their behalf and conceal it ?

In the midst of this worst economic hardship, Abaribe collected such an amount of money, yet no Abia South youth has been empowered, no woman has been given a dime as start-up capital, no palliative was given to even the poorest person in the senatorial district? He can't attract projects like other senators, he can't build any by himself, he can't even give the people the money he collected on their behalf directly if he is bereft of ideas.

It's heart wrenching to see that those that have been called to serve are now turning around to steal from the very poor they claim to be representing. This is horrible!

What is happening in Nigeria is what you see when INEC and the courts decide to give mandate to who they wish and against the will of the people of Nigeria.

The other day, we watched an Abaribe who unabashedly went to a national television to say that he received only N266m while other senior senators got N500m. Oh no! If Senator Jerigbe hadn't exposed the rot in the Senate, would Abaribe have gone on the TV to admit receiving the money?

I still believe the story is not almost accurate. I am wondering, if the money Senator Abaribe received were constituency projects fund, how come it was given to him from the same controversial N3trn - a padded amount that was not supposed to be accounted for ab iinitio?

Secondly, would we have known about the N266M credit alert from the Senate if Senator Nigin hadn't come to light?

Also, as concerned constituents of Aba South, we are curious and yet to understand the motive of the recent TV interview granted by Senator Abaribe - was it to demand for them to give him the remaining balance of what he deserves as a ranking senator? Let's remember that his cohort indirectly reminded him that all animals are not equal and as a result the loot shouldn't be shared equally, or was it to challenge the wrongdoing of the Senate as the Almighty Mma Agha Ndi Igbo?

If continuously pocketing poor and hapless people's money is part of your mandate as Nma Agba Ndi Igbo, then I think we need to reassess your capacity to represent our people.

I advise Abaribe to resign honourably and allow Abia South to work for Abia Southerners.

Budget padding: Abaribe Explains How Senators Share Funds for Zonal Intervention Projects

https://ohafiatv.com/2024/03/13/budget-padding-abaribe-explains-how-senators-share-funds-for-zonal-intervention-project/

The differences in the distribution of the Zonal Intervention Project monies have been explained by Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, the lawmaker for the Abia South Senatorial District.

Remember that on Tuesday, Senator Agom Jarigbe of Cross River North claimed that ranking senators received N500 million in funding while he received none?

Jarigbe made the claim on the Senate floor in response to a budget padding charge made by Senator Abdul Ningi, a legislator from Bauchi Central.

Lawmakers that have served in the Red Chamber for at least four years are referred to be ranking senators.

Speaking on Arise TV on Wednesday, Abaribe refuted his colleague’s claim that he received N500 million.

Nonetheless, he claimed to have received N266 million from the funds given to National Assembly members in each of the six geopolitical zones.

Since his Southeast zone consists of only five states, Abaribe explained that lawmakers from some zones, like as the Northwest, which includes seven states, would naturally receive less than what he did.

“I have been saying that all fingers are not equal and that certain people will get by virtue of their office, but not every Senator gets the same amount of money,” he uttered.

“The country is divided into six zones, and each zone receives a N10 billion intervention. Now, since you have seven states, the senator from the Northwest zone will receive less than me, who is from the five states zone.

“If we divide the N2 billion that my state, Abia, receives for the Senate and the representatives, the Senate receives 40% and the House receives 60%.

“I received a zonal intervention of almost N266 million. The individual with seven states in the Northwest will inevitably receive less, roughly one hundred million Naira.

Therefore, it is incorrect to state that each constituency should receive the same amount.

PoliticsBello El-rufai Should Stop Comparing Peter Obi With His Father, We’re Not Blind by fairymonk(op): 3:28pm On Mar 11, 2024
Bello El-Rufai Should Stop Comparing Peter Obi with his father, we’re not Blind .

https://ohafiatv.com/2024/03/11/bello-el-rufai-should-stop-comparing-peter-obi-with-his-father-were-not-blind/

It is a shock to me that the loquacious and cantankerous son of former Kaduna state governor, Alhaji Nasir El-Rufai, Bello El-Rufai, is yet to understand the difference between reality and propaganda. But what is more shocking to me is why he has chosen to use Dr Peter Obi’s name to launder his father’s image at a time when Nigerians have seen everything he had to offer.

However, I do not put the rest of the blame on him for his endless tantrums, yet it shocks me that respected journalists like Mr Seun Okinbaloye should avail him of their supposedly reputable platforms to vomit the venoms for which he is known, a religious fanatic, ethnic bigot, and divisive merchandise whose joy is derived from whipping up tribal sentiments and profiling Igbo people at every provocation.

I would’ve ignored him as I’ve done in the past, but for the fact that the interview seemed to have some hidden agenda being projected by him, I decided to respond to him because I know how his father operates by using him to stir the hornet. Their normal practice is to send the loquacious boy to speak uncontrollably while the elders sit by the side to observe reactions so that they will know the time and tactic for their next line of attack. I bet you, Bello El-Rufai was not disparaging Peter Obi for his sake, he is testing the waters for either his father or anyone who must be bankrolling his escapade.

For instance, there were four major candidates in the last election. Bello decided to pick on Peter Obi alone, dropping Atiku, Kwankwasor, etc, to compare with his father who is currently suffering political relegation due to his excesses and high-handedness while he held swear to the governorship position of Kaduna State. One then wonders if El-Rufai is in a novelty race with Peter Obi.

For your information Bello, Peter Obi’s popularity is not of his choosing, he did not force himself to be loved by the Nigerian masses. The only people who dislike him are the untouchables and neigh-do-well politicians who feel threatened by his goodwill which will make them lose grip on their wickedness upon the masses.

It is a known fact that Alhaji Nasir El-Rufia did his best to promote a religious crisis against Christians where he superintended the killing of thousands of them which is the reason why he was avoided by this administration because they didn’t want his name to dent their chances.

Again, if Peter Obi governed Anambra as far back as 2007 and left enough legacy to be more popular than your father in 2023 (when El-Rufia was still an incumbent), then you don’t need to convince us who did better because we are not blind like you who believes you need the help of a national TV to seek validation for your dumped father.

The journalists in Nigeria who are adjourned to be renowned should know when to put a gap between doing their jobs and being used as a veritable tool for ethnic profiling it will be pardonable to allow Alhaji Nasir El-Rufai to discuss his performance or even compare himself with Dr. Peter Obi, but it is an insult on the collective intelligence of Nigeria youths to give his untrained son a platform to disrespect honorable men in the name of laundering his father’s battered image.

Chidiebere Okoh tells Gov Otti to be weary of taking advice from failed Abia Speakers

..says the failed politicians flocking around him will disperse once he fails just like them.

.. "They don't have anything to offer as advice because they failed in their time"

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC in Abia State, Hon Chidiebere Okoh, has expressed displeasure at the recent shambolism and hypocrisy being exhibited by certain Abia State politicians towards the successes being recorded by Governor Alex Chioma Otti, who has, within the shortest time displayed high dexterity in applying unparalleled leadership and administrative acumen needed to turn the fortunes of Abia State from state of squalor to take its place among states of the federation that can be said to be doing well.

In a statement he issued from his Abuja base on Sunday, the former Abia North Senatorial candidate said he is not against Abia politicians throwing support behind a performing governor or the sportsmanship Dr Alex Otti has displayed in opening his doors to carry everyone along for the good of Abia State, a clear paradigm shift from the usual "Winner Takes All" attitude that had existed under PDP for over 2 decades. That in itself is a welcome development.

He said his argument is based on the recent developments where practically failed leaders of the past who couldn't deliver on their responsibility to the people during their shot as leaders, now choose to form a gang of technical advisers to the man who is doing what they couldn't do when they had the opportunity to, saying that it is an insult on the collective intelligence of Ndi Abia.

In his words: "I am peeved by the latest development in Abia State and will not keep quiet as men who had failed the people as leaders gather themselves as hulks to seek relevance and a place in the new Abia state by offering unsolicited advice to the working governor on how best to do the things they had the opportunity to do best when they had the opportunity but they did not.

"Most of them are in APC, some are hanging on the balance in PDP to seek relevance in the Labour Party. I assure Dr Alex Otti that if he allows them to infiltrate his circle with their baggage, he will lose the trust Ndi Abia has in him. They are not seeking your favor to help you succeed, they're coming close to ensure you fail like they did so that posterity will be as unkind to you as it has been to them.

"To me and other well-meaning Abians, it is an anomaly and unacceptable that some past leaders like Sir Udo Oko-Chukwu (the immediate past Deputy Governor of Abia State), Chief Stanley Ohajuruka, Chief Arua Arunsi, Chief Martin Azubuike, Chief Agwu U Agwu (all of whom were speakers of state house assembly), who performed abysmally during their time as speakers will suddenly, possibly have any good advice to give because one cannot give what you don't have", he said.

Okoh therefore advised that they should be kept at bay from the new Abia while advising them to plant themselves more firmly where they are in order not to distract or detail the newfound Abia under the able hands of Dr Alex Chioma Otti.

Dalung slams Nuhu Ribadu for overprotecting Tinubu – “Do you have something to hide?”

The National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, has come under criticism from Solomon Dalung, a former minister of sports and youth development, for allegedly attempting to overprotect President Bola Tinubu.

He maintained that Tinubu’s supporters were always exerting all of their might to go after anyone who showed sincere concern for the state of affairs in the nation.

In an interview with Arise Television, Dalung expressed his reservations.

He further stated that he and others were attempting to make the President unreachable and that Ribadu’s blame game demonstrates that he has something to cover up.

He stated that “the administration of President Tinubu seemed indistinguishable from the same grasp on power and fortification by individuals within the corridors of power.” I say this because their words and body language suggest that they are more likely to overprotect the President and expend all of their energy attacking anyone who could even be legitimately raising an issue that needs to be taken seriously.

“Let me start with the National Security Advisor, who introduced this and has no right to start a campaign of assigning blame. That suggests that he is attempting to overprotect the President and that he has something to hide from Nigerians. Therefore, some people have prevented others from reaching the president. I’m attempting to provide evidence to support what I said at the time when Plateau State was on fire and people were being killed.

Dalung went on to say that he and a group of Christian leaders from Fulani-Hausa decided to meet with Ribadu to discuss the state of affairs in the nation.

But according to the former minister, the NSA ignored his calls and didn’t respond to his WhatsApp messages.

“As the leader, I organized opinion leaders among the Christian Fulani-Hausa leaders, and we discussed before deciding to meet with the National Security Advisor.

They put their trust in me to move them, and part of this delegation consisted of active members of the state House of Assembly. We drove to the National Security Adviser’s office, but upon arriving at the gate, they stopped us and demanded that we call him to receive clearance.

“I called him multiple times, but he didn’t answer, and I sent him multiple texts, but he didn’t reply. He didn’t reply to the multiple WhatsApp texts I sent him. Ultimately, this group returned to Jos with all of its wonderful goals,” he stated.

Arrested for organizing the #RevolutionNow protest, Sowore faced charges of treasonable felony by the Buhari administration, enduring assaults, torture, and restrictions on seeing his family during his incarceration.

Highlighting Nigeria’s challenges of corruption and rising inflation, Sowore reiterated his dedication to the struggle for Nigeria’s restoration, asserting that he will return to continue advocating for the people’s liberation.

While planning a short trip to reunite with his family, Sowore pledged to confront the numerous legal cases against him upon his return, indicating his determination to face the remaining charges head-on.

The withdrawal of a lawsuit against Sowore by President Bola Tinubu’s government and the court’s directive to release his seized passport marked recent developments in his legal battles, reflecting the ongoing saga of Sowore’s fight against oppression and injustice in Nigeria.

Finally, the people of Ohafia Udumaeze, Abiriba, Mkporo, Abam Onyerubi, and environs breathed some fresh air as our rising star and one of the biggest catch of today’s 10th National Assembly, the people’s representative, Honorable Ibe Okwara Osonwa begins to drag, grill, disembowel and join issues with the atrocious, mendacious and incompetent Eastern Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC owned by one of Nigeria’s untouchable rabid capitalists, Chief Emeka Offor of Chrome Oil.

Chief Emeka Offor’s EEDC are known unrepentant outlaws since taking over the distribution of electricity power supply to the 5 Southeast states of Abia, Imo, Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states. Their impunity, lack of organization, and due process in handling their job has pitched them in dispute with many communities some of who are summarily disengaged from the power grid without recourse to any remedy. This is the case now with the aforementioned communities of Ohafia and environ which breach of their power supply for five years by EEDC is seen as inordinate and wholeheartedly exceeds the company’s boundary of lawful engagement.

IBE OKWARA OSONWA
The imposition of a power boycott of these geographical entity defined by the aforementioned areas of Ohafia etal for five uninterrupted years with no care of any consequences is ultra vires and not supported by the provisions of the privatization act of about 20 years ago. But the consequences has started rippling and exacerbating as this horrendous act by the EEDC has attracted the ire of the apex law making institution in the country, the National Assembly after receiving and adopting the petition from the Ohafia communities in plenary.

A public hearing was accordingly ordered by the National Assembly with much orchestration by the no nonsense Honorable member, Ibe Okwara Osonwa, the member representing Arochukwu and Ohafia Federal Constituency. But the people’s who also feels much of the pulse of his people is not relenting as he promises that no one’s ego will be massaged to bring the erring EEDC apostate to both moral and legal justice.

The International Women's Day is March 8, the day women are celebrated all over the world for their immense roles in making the world a better place for humanity through love, care, and endless sacrifice they have continued to offer.

On this auspicious day of celebrating womanhood, the President and CEO of Emeka Charles Kalu Foundation (ECK Foundation) , Chief Dr. Emeka C. Kalu has buttressed the need to make more room for women's participation in all spheres of human existence, especially in politics and development which are the bedrock of any progressive society.

"Consider a future where all genders are treated equally. A world without bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, fair, and inclusive. A world in which diversity is valued and cherished with their full intellectual capacity brought to it's potential with endless prospect for progress.

"We must celebrate women's accomplishments. Raise awareness about discrimination. Take action to achieve gender parity all in an effort to make the world a better place", he said.

The US-based civil Engineer, Businessman, and astute politician argued that women have proven to be better managers of resources from home to state and federal levels and therefore, must be given the needed opportunity to play greater roles in reshaping our nation and reviving her economy.

He therefore encouraged the Nigeria President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to as a matter of national rescue effort, revive his economic team and consider including more women in his administration.

PoliticsOkezie Ikpeazu's Marriage With The Hellenist Witches by fairymonk(op): 8:29am On Mar 08, 2024
https://ohafiatv.com/2024/03/07/okezie-ikpeazus-marriage-with-the-hellenist-witches-opinion/

The immediate past failed governor of Abia State, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu is in my view presently ensconced with dangerous witches that trace their origins from the hellenist era of the 'thane of fife', of Macduff fame in William Shakespeare's epic drama, Macbeth. These medieval witches in a rare kindred appearance must today be entertaining a prophetic engagement in the enchanted court of Victor Okezie Ikpeazu.

The witches you may agree with me are in a mission to make a hero of the despised, dishonorable and uncelebrated former governor. The prophetic dystopia of the witches which probably must be about the rise of the dry bones and rising from the ashes of past failures must have taken the better side of Victor Ikpeazu and his followers who appears very desperate to revisit history. But someone will die in this epic prophetic drama of the medieval spirits and game of ambition. If you want to know who will die, ask Macbeth in the William Shakespeare folklore.

The protagonists of this bizarre drama of second chance will most probably have themselves to blame after they once again fall by their putative schemes into oblivion. How else are we to summarize their faith amidst a sudden upsurge of a new narratives of the wonders of Okezie Ikpeazu blistering our earlobes from all corners about his being a wonder kid, a wizkid hitherto unknown and undiscovered by the rest of of us, under reported, undervalued, under represented, and under followed.

I have seen all manner of writers or should I say pen undertakers teaching us new lessons, new facts and digging unverified data about what actually happened in Abia State under the smart but maligned reign of Ikpeazu. A totally comic reinvention if you ask me. All this just to attach his name to the new narratives in the New Abia.

Many of us never knew Ikpeazu and his followers could be this desperate for good names, good governance and for history. But the regalling distructive witches under their clutch now may be leading him and his mendaceous crew towards an uncharted territory for the imminent encounter with the end games.

We have heard from some of these pen enthusiasts how Ikpeazu started a transaction to buy a $5 million dollars shares from Geometric Power for Ndi Abia and left it midway after paying part of the amount required. We were also told how he invested N1.4 Billion out of a total of N1.9 Billion and just walked away without even asking for the share certificate of the fraction he paid for or are we to assume he abandoned the entire transaction?

We are here talking of an investment on behalf of a state, its people and its government. This is inspite of the fact that the state recorded in its books a revenue inflow of above N200 billion after the so called investment was enacted and yet he still was unable to complete what he started and failed to pay the balance of N500 million to seal the deal. Again what are we to call this?, one of Ikpeazu's achievements and wonders? or just gross incompetence?

Will it be wrong for Professor Bart Nnaji to unseal the envelope and just return it to Abia State as running short of terms of agreement?, for breach of agreement and due process, inability to adhere to stipulations of MOU etcetera. The entire money dropped by Ikpeazu and his subservient staff should have been lost to incompetence.

Again we were told by the same bewitched sources that Ikpeazu escorted Bart Nnaji to South Africa to sign for a loan agreement for $50 Million USD only as a witness rather than a guarantor as is expected of a host state government benefitting from such private direct investment. I came to borrow money from you, and you just escorted me to someone else to lend me the money. That was what Ikpeazu did to Bart Nnaji and we're also expected to venerate and beatify him for a job well done and for helping himself in yet another state funded tourism to enjoy himself in South Africa at all our expense. What we should actually be doing is to be putting all our papers and petitions together to drag Victor Ikpeazu to the EFCC and not this noise about what he did or did not do while in office.

Those that have initiated him into this evil dance of relevance with the witches will soon come to know that what really comes with having encounter with the witches is death. They should prepare for the worst.
To be Continued.

In a time of deep reflection amidst current economic problems, the firm decision of Ndigbo not to join the hardship protests against President Tinubu in the Southeast is based on a moving history of the hardships the people of the region have faced since the start of the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 until 2023. https://ohafiatv.com/2024/03/04/open-letter-to-mben-politicians-on-realities-of-2027-politics-anya/

By Comr Amos Kalu

I have observed with keen interest and surprise the way politics is managed within our political sphere as a people.

Today, I would like to dwell on the attitude of the average Ohafia politician who has continued to see elective position in Abia State as his birthright or a package that should be handed to him on a platter of gold, but the reality is, no matter which prism you view it from, elective position is to be contested, not given.

My point here is not to say that Ohafia people do not deserve the lofty positions as governors, senators, representatives, etc, No! They have able and deserving men and women of substance to represent them, rather the question is whether or not they are ready to do the needful or sacrifice what is takes to be given the necessary support to mount the important positions in the state.

Having said this, I wish to point out some of possible clogs in the wheels of our journey to 2027 so that we can make heys while the sun shines.

Inability to put their acts together

By reality, an average Mben politician believes he is most qualified, better qualified, or absolutely qualified to represent our people. As a result, they scatter their seeds in the field at the time they should sow in reality.
A good example is in the last 2023 general election where Ohafia produced more governorship candidates than any other area of Abia state when other areas rallied around candidates like OVI, Alex Otti, Greg Ibe, etc, at the end of the day, none of our numerous candidates contested at the level with other strongest candidates. However, the only candidate that exhibited such traits like Barr Etigwe Uwa didn't clinch his party's ticket, unfortunately.

Be that as it may, I am convinced that even if he clinched the ticket, his most challenging task would've been to win the home opponents who will align will foreigners to win him from within even before the election proper. We are very good at that.

Lack of structure

The game of politics is a networking affair, a good politician focus on building bridges across, so a good politician build his bridges to leverage on at times of electioneering business. Unfortunately, the Mben clan are lagging in this area. As descendants of warrior tribe, they have this inner trait that they can do it alone anytime they're are out for it. At the end, it doesn't work because politics works differently at every clime, therefore there is the need to harness by extending hands of fellowship ahead of time. You may conquer your ideologies but you must defeat the ideologies of your opponents to penetrate their defences to your advantage.

Owan Owan Awaiting Ji

Every people has their identity and origin that adds to the values and cultures that sets them apart from many. Inarguably, Ohafia people can boast of these identities that has endeared them to the world, but the concept of "Owan Owan Awayitagi Ji" has proved to be one of her greatest ongoing. I will not bore you will episodes of conspicuous proof of disadvantage of this mindset, but I will highlight the effect of this on hour political retrogression in Abia State.

While other people are ready to pull their resources together to achieve a political goal, the Mben man will rather use his resources to pull the brother down or scatter it abroad to enthrone others. Same things goes to them in other fields, except for those that now view life from wider prism of realities, an average Ohafia man finds it difficult to invest in his brothers to grow. That's why her best brains are loyal to men from other areas who value their qualities.

Entitlement Mentality

Brotherhood and love for culture is a core value of Ohafia man that sets him apart among others. Somehow, in as much as "Owan Owan Awayitagi Ji", they have the belief that even when efforts needs to be put on the side of a politician to prove his preparedness to contest any post, it is his right that you must support him for only virtue of being fellow Ohafia man, even if he has sacrificed nothing, or invested anything to the growth of his struggling brother.

Unfortunately, when other politicians from other parts of the climes discovers the potentials of their struggling brothers and invest in their growth over time, the Ohafia man quickly term his brother a betrayer and non supporter of Ohafia cause for not dumping them others people that helped their brothers grow from zero to 1, 2, or 3.

Example, how many of the Ohafia politicians understand that the boys they used to fight hard in 2023 needs support to grow stronger before 2027 so that they can acquire more experiences and form a formidable force to fight for them at the right time? Rather, they dump every PAs, Aides, Supporters, etc till one year before the next election when they can hand them what they call 'Data Allowance" to stay online for them. The reality is that politics at this age has evolved, we must evolve with it.
Every politicians vying for positions in 2027 are strategizing now, they're investing in human development and building a basket of assets to pick from when the time is right.

We must start now..

Comr Amos Kalu on Igbo Presidency

The question of Nigeria President of Igbo extraction in 2023 has been christened ‘Igbo Presidency’ and it has taken the center stage of our national discourse, and rightly so at this critical time in the history of our nation.

Without mincing words or sounding apologetic with realities facing us, I will bold say Nigeria has retrogressed since 1960 after independence, rather than progressed and we have continued trying to sound politically correct by being economical with the truth of it when it comes to pointing out those errors that have held us down to a state of stagnancy, disrepair, and progressive state. Yet I reckon that in all sincerity of purpose and for the love of the possibility of a future for Nigeria, this is not time to sound politically correct, this is time to end the Nigeria Civil War and move on or continue to pretend about it until it causes us the nation. The inevitability is presently before us in plain sight.

I have always argued that Nigeria is a nation that love “playing the Ostrich” with our realities, challenges and shortcomings when we should actually confront them, defeat them or fail while trying. No problem solves itself until a solution is proffered.

An Ostrich is a big bird that is very strong and so powerful that it can confront any danger or probably defeat it if it were to stand its ground. But when an Ostrich senses danger around it or is chased by any other animal, the first reaction to the danger is to escape because the bulky body and long legs can afford it the advantage of escaping the danger.

But when the Ostrich outruns its danger, it takes the advantage of space to dig a very big hole in the ground, put its head under the sand and cover the head up with sand, leaving the whole body outside totally exposed to whatever danger it must have escaped from. That way, Ostrich usually lose its life to attackers without putting up a fight that would’ve saved its life instead. This is how Nigeria has handled all her dangers till now that it have almost consumed her.

The Nigerian civil war of 1967 – 1970 has remained one of the worst challenges to the existence of Nigeria in many respect, as the war ended with rhetoric of ‘No Victor, No Vanquished’, while the realities of victor and vanquished did place power firmly in the hands of the North who believes they deserve a lot of booty for a war well fought, thereby relegating the supposed vanquished South East to the reality of submission to the truth of 5%ters, hence the failure to reintegrate the East and move on. The Ostrich disposition made rubbish of the powerful RRR proposed by Yakubu Gowon after the war, the rest is now History.

The Ostrich attitude, systematically hid history from her people, shared power among the victors, created policies that only serve to milk the conquered South to Develop the North, yet we all pretend that all is well. It has festered, brewed bad blood, disunity and it gave birth to pockets of agitation that are gaining momentum even as the ‘stick and carrot approach’ has continued to fail, yet the Ostrich is still hiding its head under the sand from realities of her danger. “FOR HOW LONG?”

Possible Solution (Igbo Presidency)
In as much as the people from South East had over the years tried to play along with the guilt of a defeated people whom are constantly reminded that they almost ended Nigeria in their quest for freedom from politically motivated killings of her people, yet there’s limit to how long a man can endure, especially when the generation being punished are different from the generation that actually fought for their freedom, the result is what we witness today.

In retrospect, since the Southeastners have come out to say we are part of this project called Nigeria, we wish to Rehabilitate, Reconstruct, and Reintegrate (RRR), in the true sense of the word, then the North and the rest of Nigeria should see it as the first opportunity to truly end the war existing in the minds of the victors and exploit the opportunity to move Nigeria forward for the first time in her history as no nation progresses under the atmosphere of rencour, distrust, disunity and tribalism in a multicultural, multiethnic and diversity polity like Nigeria.

This is time to end the Civil War by producing Nigeria President of Igbo extraction as the only panacea to salvaging what is left of Nigeria because the North will be mistaken is they ever continue to lay claim to the ownership of Nigeria as the people that have conquered the rest who should always bow to their wills.

The Ostrich must brings its head out of the sand to face her danger or die in its self inflicted dangers.

PoliticsCoronavirus: Atiku Tells Buhari Two Things To Do As Third Case Is Confirmed by fairymonk(op): 7:37am On Mar 18, 2020
Former Nigeria vice-president, Atiku Abubakar, has suggested that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration should reduce the pump price of petrol.

Atiku said this in a statement on Tuesday, as the third case of coronavirus was confirmed in Nigeria.

He also advised that stamp duty on all types of accounts be temporarily suspended.

“I recommend that policies like the stamp duty on all types of accounts be temporarily suspended, until such time as the nation’s economy has turned the tide in the fight against this virulent scourge.

“Furthermore, as the landing cost of premium motor spirit, also known as petrol, has reduced significantly, it is strongly recommended that the government should not absorb the savings, but should pass it on to the Nigerian people by way of reducing the pump price of PMS to reflect the current prevailing market costs,” part of the statement read.

DAILY POST earlier reported that Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, claimed that Buhari has refused to restrict flights from high-risk countries, because Atiku raised the suggestion.
