This upgrade is still giving some challenges to new applicants, I presume it will soon be completed

I have a friend with a B.Eng from an accredited foreign institution(India). But his degree is not registrable with COREN.

Please what can he do?
Can he go for PGD in Nigeria? Or do a BSC top up program? Thanks

How to login to a practitioner portal.

Open the portal ( portal.coren.gov.ng) and click on practitioner.
1. Click on forgot password.
2. Enter your COREN number and click on reset password.
3. A message will appear " login credentials has been reset and sent to your mail with your mail in bracket if it exists in your portal. " *IGNORE THAT"*
4. Go back to the practitioners portal and type your COREN Number as user name and password and click on login
5. Reset your password with your COREN number as current password.
6. Update your profile. You pay your dues and download your license or if u are up to date, download your license.

At maximum, how many days would it take for someone to get his certificate and stamp from the COREN office.

I can't really say but personally I always tell newly approved members to just relax and wait for 6months to 1year after they have gotten their letter of notification. Cerificate always comes out before stamp

@OP please I need your guide, I am already a registered engineer, I need the cost implication and processes to become a member of NSE, with my COREN certificate. Thanks in anticipation

Have any recent registered Engr gotten certificate,seal and stamp. Recent registration from Sept 2020 till last registration (March 2021).

Congratulations to all of you that are invited for exams/interview I wish you all a success. I did mine last year Oct in Abj, av been given my registration number already and av gotten my notification letter awaiting d readiness of certificate, stamp and seal

Plz note:
2 stages of assessment

1. Written essay ( a. general engineering practice. B. Topic base on your discipline)

2. Oral Interview base on your technical report and possibly safety and environment in engineering field

This was wht I went 2ru last year so get prepared. Onces again congratulations and I wish u a successful examination

Well there are alot of business you can put your money into and you will be making good profit, 100k monthly is just 20% of your capital.

*What you need:*
• 85,000 Naira registration fee (An agent will charge you around 20K extra).
• four years post graduation experience
• your original degree certificate not statement.
• two proposers (registered COREN Engineers, with updated membership payment and Seal & Stamp).

Through an agent,
•He will charge you like 20K extra.
•He will provide the proposers for you.
•You will get all updates regarding subsequent stages from him.
•If in case you have any issue, he can sort it out for you easily.

*Expenses Involved*
As from July, 2020:
•Initial registration is 85K
•During exams & interview: 3K administrative charges
•Approval (Certificate, Stamp & seal) fee: 63K
•Annual practicing fee: 10K annually

Which would you advise to be done first as at today's status, doing COREN first and later MNSE, or to register for MNSE first before later COREN.
Which is lesser stress and easier? or pursuing both separate or same time and independently?

COREN is easier and no long process like NSE, when your complete your COREN and you have your certificate you will only pay sum to get MNSE.

Same as NSE if you start with MNSE when you get your certificate you will pay a sum of money to be registered under COREN

Seriously you av good intentions and plans, doing this would av reduced the unemployment rate in d country by using someone to partner with u in the business but lot of people always have mindset of eating more than the owner. That's why d other poster said most times it ends in tears, though we still have the trustworthy ones but it's not easy to come bye
