@Stormm@ I think you are not far from the truth, which happens to be a part of the intentions of the originators , It is more like a stone killing more than one bird. |
Respected contributors, as much we do have the natural right to express ourselves on issues bothering on our national well-being, it will do our beloved country a lot of good if we insist on getting and passing on the truth about current and past issues. The posted publication does state (unless I understand differently) that the person inquestion has admitted that he was only trying to get the Nigerian government's attention to address their situation in Ghana. I was therefore expecting a push for repartriation and subsequent trial of such a person as comments like that could result in real diplomatic rows that are not needed now. The temporay stay on hostilities is being appreciated by all, either overtly or covertly. We need to inform rightly as we move closer to the usual crazy times of expressing our greed and insensitivity to the plights of the common man on the street - general elections. |
Bro, I beg go marry your woman! Una go first think about na love first, after when the love don metamorphoses into pikin, una go take am from there. Na part of the thing wey life's journey. E no compulsory say una must contribute to the next billion people on Earth, if una get two and one na SS, na still life's journey. Try pursue true happiness at all times. Somebody go say na wrong advice, say I dey push you to your early grave, but try remember the other heart, your wife-to-be. |

I might sound fanatic to you, @KunleOshob@, but be informed that "harmless" comments like these do go away without some kind of effect. If you have been through certain situations in life, like I have, you will agree with me that History is mostly correct. This includes the Holy Bible. As an average muslim if "Zakat" helps, you will be surprised what the result is in giving alms to the needy. @Poster@ Pay the tithe first and you will be surprised your creditor will be less demanding for you to meet that committment. ![]() |
Firstly, I will implore you to be really cautious as this might lead to things you will not be able to control in the future (if, your response is given angrily). Secondly, though women are supposed to be our "mothers", most times it behove on us to actually "father" them, hence I will advise that you see her as an impetuous child that needs `correcting`. It might not really be considered as serious as you have both agreed originally to have the "control measure" administered to her. I do agree with you that decisions made together, and executed likewise are better and more binding (for marital harmony). Yet, I will want you to simply let her know you are unhappy about it, citing reasons bothering on mistrust; that her actions will tend to make you lose trust in her . . ., but, do not make it sound like you blaming her. At all cost, play the advising father role and not the fault finder: yet, you must make her know you feel disappointed "at her action" but not "at HER". There is some subtle difference between these two, and you emphasise this to her! Tell her togetherness in everything helps to firm the foundations of marriage - understanding, tolerance, sacrificing, TRUST. Strip yourself of the anger due the disappointment you feel inside. She is the closest to you, remember! ![]() |

@Poster, Follow your heart is what i tell you! If she is yours for life, she will come back. But, if you feel used by her, then the pain is there in your heart and you will have to listen to the many contributions you have seen so far. There are times life will deal bitter pills to us, even if you are sincere; that is when it becomes more painful, because you have a conscience. Listen to the advice, your health is more important to you. Listen (your heart and advice) and act, NOW! |

two heads are better than one. rambo does not use one gun. the two guns is a symbol of double assurance as it relates to effective shooting. nigerian police is a very wonderful ppl and they are very very effective that they can even arrest goat criminals. *Chidichris* You are on top of it bro! |
For whoever cares to know, this is not going to be "allowed" in Africa. Exposure and education will not erode easily the African beliefs on the negativity of homosexualism. "Mudley313´s" comment might sound harsh, but the fact is such flimsy reasons are not enough for a deviation from God´s own founding principles. Our dislike for such a behaviour might include stoning to d-e-a-t-h of apprehended deviants. . |
Firstly, I think he lost confidence in himself as a law enforcer: he lacks respect because he lost the significance of being a law officer. To enforce authority, he "thinks" the gun will help. Secondly, he lost confidence in the Police as a system: like someone commented, the guns have become either obsolete (inferior fire power ) or poorly maintained (most likely, not at all). Again, he "thinks" a back-up gun will help him "enforce" order (authority) on a fleeing, unarmed, struggling to survive, average nigerian (bus driver, most likely). Finally, the picture is a revealation of some sort, of the consequence of sub-standard training, twisted thinking due to lack of care, and the intuitive nature of man and "animals" to survive! It is a fact that we need a re-orientation of the people in government, and by extension - the Nigerian Police. They need their dignity back, but they must help themselves also. Dem say charity dey start from village . |

*GL*Thanks for your balanced advice. *Poster* Heed those words; try these pieces of advice, if it doesn´t work, hands off. BUT, DO YOUR BEST NOT TO ACCEPT SAME SITUATION IN THE FUTURE. It does not mean you have to be an Activist in so doing: rather, do so with this experience you are unfortunately exposed to. |
Are you going to show the mileage soon? |
