How do you get people to know about your site without spending more than you may likely earn in 5 years?

Also, the notion that "Nigerians like free things" may be true, but it doesn't always work when competition is involved. Nobody wants to undergo any stress with no assurance of getting the N5000.

How do you plan to sustain the N5000 payment, in the event that, 10 months after you launch the site, you have only 10 members? It means, at the end of 10 months, you would have spent (N5,000 x 40 weeks) = N200,000.

Do you know failure to remit a payment to a winner will affect your reputation?

Do you know Nairaland has over N1,000,000 members, and some ads go for as low as N3000/weekly?

I'm George Abiola , a business management student to be in the University of Ilorin(That should be a normal introduction about myselfmyself )
Straight to business______I know on nairaland we have a lot of people who are well experienced in the business world, some who just started and those about to start up something.... In the now Nigerian economy it take only a unique business idea for one to stand out from the crowd, as we all know because of the massive competitions in the business sector..... I know we have these business gurus or wizards here on nairaland who because of lack of capital have been unable to up something...
What's really the essence of having an idea when you don't have the required requirements to startup a business(my opinion tho)...
Why I created this thread is for everyone to come up and share his/her business ideas to everyone("not for me alone"..Someone can actually start up a business with your ideas.. You can also start up your business with another's unique idea....
That's just it...You have a business idea? Spill it!!

Let me start with me.. .... There's this cool business idea I came up with a week ago... Here's how it goes.. I'll open a website for people to download Nigerian songs from... on this website a competition will hold every week... And the winner will get #5, 000... The competition will be about people uploading their own cover for a particular song that I will choose...
Here's how I'll generate revenue or make profit, I'll definitely get a lot of traffic on this site(because Nigerians like free things).....
Once I get a lot of traffic on that site,,, I'll be contacted by other people to advertise their products... (My idea might not be good enough, but its still an idea)
