Baba I sent you an email regarding my SOP jnyuwa02: Sir I schooled in the United States and every financial statement I submitted was checked by the USA embassy before a visa was issued to me. So your statement that they don’t checks statements is categorically false. And having schooled there, no private organization would extend a loan to a foreign student because of the risk involved. And foreign students are barred from applying for FAFSA, which is the loan available from the government. And no private organization I know does that, except the schools themselves are the ones who extend financial aid to very promising foreign students in the way of a combination of scholarships, loans and work study. That said, should you get loan from these people you aver is possible, in the Canadian visa process, it will not easily scale through. Visa officers would hardly grant you visa because getting a loan will paint you as financially impoverish. Purpose of visit, return based on asset and financial status is loading! |

jnyuwa02: The one I saw was not approved for the visa after he responded to the accusation. But they went on to remove the fraudulent charge and denied him on purpose of visit. So did you mean you were denied for a visiting visa and approved for SOWP? Or what denial are you talking about and care to post the Gcms notes here that substantiates your claim of LICO? Thanks! Please I sent you a pm, reply. Thanks |

jnyuwa02: Once you have been travelling to countries, there is more to be done on your case in checking in with those countries to see your immigration history. So don’t compare first time travaleller’s timeline with yours. To do so is like comparing apples and oranges. Yours might take longer. That said, looking at your profile, no decision on your case is anywhere near to be rendered soon. Looks like everything is still processing. Possibly they are running security checks on you with those countries that is why it is taking a little bit more time for the background check to finish. Once background check finishes and you pass, the next step is eligibility review. In that step, a calculus of whether you will come back to Nigeria, whether you have the financial worthiness to pay your expenses and other important analysis happens. All are to determine if you meet the requirements of the law for admissibility into Canada. If you do, they will call you in for medicals. Sometimes to they will even call you for medicals even when eligibility review is happening, waiting for further high class background checks if applicable. No all cases are the same or follow the same timeline. It’s good that you have deferred your resumption because CIC is not so easily predicatable. I have been waiting for mine too since September last year and have not died. Far from it. There is another guy called Abiodunne who waited one year and he didn’t die too and now in Canada. The Canada visa process is not for the faint in heart. It’s an exercise in patience, sheer will power, tactical maneuvers, grace under pressure and favor from on high. Good luck!! I applied on the 1st of march and did my biometrics on the 6th of march , still no word From cic but I am relaxed and not panicking. I have worked in Two African countries! |

Hello house, Please I need your advice. My resumption date is 7th May and am yet to get any update on my application. When do you think is the best time to approach the institution for extension. What if by May, when the admission offer will be expiring, CIC is yet to touch d application, does the expiration of the admission offer affects their decision on approval?? when did you apply for visa? online or paper route |

Aghatise: Officially - No. But I was contacted yesterday by a Prof in Oil and Gas Engr who asked me to immediately change my course from Ocean Engr with graduate school ; that he would be reviewing my application as he sees I posses the relevant skills to work in his research group and that there is a high tendency that he wld be accepting me for Fall 2018. He further went ahead to tell me the specific area I would most likely be researching on - which I noticed is very connected to ocean engr and also my current job role - fingers crossed.
Any info from your end?? so you're switching from Ocean Engineering to oil and gas Engineering?? |

Since I am not yet in Canada and do not have an address, what can I fill in the column 'ADDRESS IN CANADA'? Appreciate you help on this ; especially those who have applied for student visa with accompany family. Have Mun offered you admission?? |

Surprisingly I don't feel bad about this one bit, cos I strongly beleive in God's plan. Success to you all in all your endeavors! Did you apply for another school as a back-up plan? |

Linzo: Hello!!! Gurus in the house I have a question, my girlfriend got admission in a college in Canada and we are planning online route for Visa application. My question is how do we go about the biometric? Is the fee payable alongside with the Visa fee of $150 the same time? I.e paying $235 at a go? Please someone should guide us You're going to be charged $235 at once and that covers the visa fee and biometrics. Then you will get a letter that you will take to vfs office in lag or Abj. |
