The 2017 youth conference held in Awka, Anambra, on 7th September was a huge success as top government officials, investors and socialites turned up in masses to grace the social gathering of youths canvassing for peace and empowerment in the country.

The theme for the event was "Enhancing Youths participation in politics and building a generation of young business investors".

The colourful event,packaged by Ayonac, started off in a unique way with an inspirational speech from comrade Onyekachi Divine before ushering in the discussants, which includes 2017 Anambra state governorship aspirant Under NCP Engr Chinedu Okplalanma,Barr Oscar Mac Obi (SA on youths and student affairs to the Senate President),Barr Chuma Egonu (Former Local Government Chairman, Ogbaru LGA),Comrade (I.G) Ibrahim Garba Wala,Comrade Nnonyelu Williams Oguegbe Mustapha,Comrade Chineme Oguegbe.

The discussants observed that non recognition of the youths in politics contributed significantly to the ongoing agitations in South East.

Vice President NYCN South East,Comrade Nnonyelu Williams Oguegbe Mustapha insisted that Anambra election must hold, adding, however, that political parties that failed to produce a youth as its candidate would not get the blessing and support of Anambra youths.

According to a political observer and rights activist , Comrade Ibrahim Garba Wala,one of the negative things that have characterized democracy in Nigeria is marginalization of the youth who are the leaders of tomorrow.

Certainly, it is in the context of taking the bull by the horn that Engr Okplanma Chinedu declared his interest to run the race for the governorship seat of Anambra State against the high and mighty in November 18 governorship election in the State.

Okpalanma, a vibrant youth is aspiring to be governor of Anambra on the platform of the National Conscience Party(NCP). He is optimistic that the youths will give him maximum support to represent them at the higher level.

Barrister Chuma, a renowned political leader in Ogbaru , a densely populated suburb in Ogbaru Local Council of Anambra State, observed with dismay that in some cases, the youth are completely neglected and consigned to the back seat only to be used as thugs by political desperados.

Chuma is, therefore, of the opinion that as leaders of tomorrow, the youth have to be carried along today so as to get them prepared for tomorrow. He lamented that the old folks have failed to do the right thing by holding tight to the system and refusing to give the youth a chance to prove their mettle.

Barr Oscar Obi said that the group has a critical role to play as a grassroot movement, stressing that the current situation in the country demands that they rise to the occasion and consolidate support for the Progress of the state leaders ahead of the November 18th governorship election.

In a vote of thanks, the Transition National president of the Organization, Amb Phil Robert thanked the youths for engaging themselves, calling for more support for the present leadership. Also present at the event was the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Grassroots and Youth Mobilization, Engr Tony Uche and many others.

The big buzz in the streets around Douala, Yaounde, Buea (Cameroon) and Lagos, Port Harcourt, Asaba (Nigeria) these days is all about the return of gorgeous diva LaLa to the musical scene. LaLa, the artist formerly known as Tokee Lala – of hit single “Packfine” fame is reported to have recently paired up with a brand-new record label, based in the United States and Cameroon, known as BGC Melody. She’s been back in studio for the past few months recording several songs in preparation for album launch before end-of-year holidays.

Many industry observers already knew that LaLa (who also goes by the affectionate name of Miss O.K.) had left her native country Cameroon, and gone to Lagos after the release of her first song, in order to enhance her musical knowledge in a renowned Lagos institution. During her stay in lagos, she worked on improving her vocals and learned how to play some key instruments like the guitar. She also wrote and recorded several songs with top Nigerian producers which will be released soon.

Armed with new record label brought to her by the social media gurus at BGC Management, and full of fresh motivation, LaLa has been undergoing a meticulous process of re-branding in preparation for the release of her new songs. Renowned Cameroon TV events promoter Jerome Barthson (Carton Rouge), a brother to Don Julio Bats of Barthson Global Communications (BGC), is currently acting as her manager.

Jerome Barthson also happens to be the boss at BGC Melody, so LaLa is getting special treatment right from the top.

LaLa’s first comeback single will be called “Mon Amour”, which means “My Love” in English. LaLa sings fluently in English, French, plus Camer and Naija Pidgin. She has been working with the best producers in the Camer music industry, like Phillbillbeatz of Mount Cameroon in Buea, the producer of “Mon Amour” and several songs on her upcoming album drop scheduled for November. Phillbillbeatz has produced hits upon hits for Cameroon giants like Lady Ponce, Petit Pays, X Maleya and Blanche Bailly. “Mon Amour” is an unreleased song LaLa originally wrote and pre-recorded in Lagos before returning to Cameroon.

LaLa is currently working on new music with Pazzo, the popular producer of Afro Hip Hop and Urban Music (who has written and produced international hits for Magasco, Gasha, Ambe, etc) in Douala. She was also seen at the newly redecorated studios of Alpha Better Records in Buea, the Mount Cameroon City. The beautiful diva seems to be navigating through the realm of fame as ABR CEO and music maestro Salatiel (producer of all the Mr. Leo hits and “Calée” by Daphne) was himself producing and arranging a song for her.

To mark her return, the Cameroon star shared some torrid hot photos recently. Cameroon, Nigeria and the whole of Africa will be erupting soon as the first single "Mon Amour" is set to be officially out on Friday 1st September 2017, and album drop is due in early November 2017.

Reigning Mr UK Nigeria King ifezue Uchenna Emmanuel and Miss One Nigeria Queen Adaobi Okafor embarked on a hot but yet sizzling shoots to mark the festive season.

Chief Patrick Chidolue, Chairman Chelsea Group Ltd, led his Chelsea Group to signing of the memorandum of understanding which was signed for the development of large scale mechanised agriculture project worth 68 billion naira in Anyamelum local government area of Anamabra State .

The Executive Governor of Anambra State on the occasion express his delight that the project will contribute to his transformation program and create jobs for residents of the state.

Chief Chidolue, who spoke of his desire to partner with the Anambra state government in creating jobs and enhancing export of food items from Anambra cited the prevailing peaceable security in the state as an incentive to investors to invest in the state. Chief Patrick Chidolue promised the willingness of Chelsea Group to complete the project in record time.

Governor Willie Obiano stressed that the project will not only help to check the challenge of food security but also provide jobs for the teeming youths in the state which could be to the tune of employing one thousand youths.
