Klass99:Yes o. By their posts we shall know them. 😂 Leos are the people I meet (and bond with) everywhere I go! I know them like the back of my hand. My mother is one and so is my immediate elder brother. The logical Papi I live with is a Leo too, so is my ex. And then for some reason I would get hit on by Leo men more than any other group of men. Next would be Aquarius guys but they were too mean-spirited for me to bond with. 😂 How are you? Were you in Kenya during the protests? Did you join in?I'm doing good, thanks for asking. Yes, I'm currently in Kenya but I did not join in the protests. Me protest? Me that cannot even protest in my own house, you think you go see me in the streets carrying placard and raising fist? 😂 The protesters were mostly comprised of the Gen-Zs. 60% of them are educated and jobless, therefore angry. We're all angry but they seem to be the ones with the guts to do something about it. Most of them have declared that they have nothing to live for so the government might as well just go ahead and shoot them. The rest of us are worn out. We gave up on this country long ago. What are your thoughts on the current president?William Ruto is the worst president Kenya has ever had since independence. He's small-minded, clueless, arrogant, corrupt, vile, tribalistic, a liar, greedy and vindictive. To crown it all, he's illegitimate. He didn't even win the elections in the first place. I know I sound like a sore loser but if you knew the dynamics of Kenyan elections you'd know that presidents and bearers of crucial positions such as the Governor of Nairobi County rarely "win" elections. Ruto wants to amass wealth before he dies. I've heard that he wants to be richest man in Kenya and from the manner in which he's looting, it's not just a rumour. He wants to surpass the Kenyatta and Moi families and he wants it to happen within the shortest time possible. The man is just too greedy. He's grabbing land everywhere and frustrating the efforts of those he believes are potential competitors in business. He particularly targets wealthy business people. If Dangote was Kenyan he'd be on his hit list. He grew up poor and seems to be envious of wealthy people. There is a sugar and cement tycoon who was threatened with death on live TV. The worst thing about this president is that he calls himself a born again Christian. He's bribed clergymen so they just observe the injustices perpetrated by him and say nothing. And during the campaign period, these same clergymen were given "brown envelopes" to lie to their congragants that Ruto was "God's anointed" and the one-digit IQ congregants in many of these Kenyan churches believed that crap. They were urging Christians to vote for a fellow "brother-in-Christ". He went around smearing Raila's name using what Africans fear most -- witchcraft and sorcery. 😂 He'd talk about Raila's witchcraft powers, talking about how he's a wizard who dabbles in black magic, while painting himself as "a man of prayer". Many fõols believed him. I'd rather he just engaged in his usual shenanigans without invoking God's name. God is not mocked. He made a good impression on me when he talked about African countries banding together to have a unique currency, we trade and do business with in Africa, among ourselves Rather than trading or doing business in USD.Oh, the man likes to talk big to appear intelligent on BBC and Al Jazeera but cannot run a ministry, let alone a country. He's so clueless. He's only an expert in stealing public funds and stashing the money away in foreign accounts. He's looting like someone who's only got 72 hours to live so he should accumulate as much as he can before dying. I can run the country better than this clueless numpty. But, I think Kenya still buys and sells predominantly in USD or has that changed? You must be talking about Zimbabwe. They still use USD but their government is trying to force a new currency down their throat. Zim Gold, they call it. He's a fine boy too......I likeFine boy ke? With that his head like mango? 😂 I've never seen anything attractive about him, nor the men from his tribe (those extra skinny marathon runners with long teeth are his tribesmen). Okay! Enough about Kenya. What was this thread about again? ![]() |
Akaegwu:It's a big deal. A very big deal. It's an indication of the low level of safety standards observed by the airline, that particular airport, and FAAN at large. |
Klass99:That explains the passion in your posts. ![]() |
One man's feminist wife is another man's virtuous wife.
|
DMerciful01:And this isn't weird?
|
haybhi1:Yes. I'll choose to remain a woman. I enjoy femininity. ![]() |
haybhi1:Life can be unfair, but for you to think that successful women are where they are because they're women isn't exactly true. They struggle for stuff too. Beautiful women too. Many of us legitimately worked and struggled for what we own right now. We never slept with men to own homes and get jobs. We worked. We went through rigorous interview processes and were hired based on merit. Don't get me started on the disappointments we encounter while venturing into business. We fail many times and succeed sometimes. E no easy my friend, but we try. One weakness I observe about your gender that works against you is your dire need to show off when money starts trickling in. You want to start "living large" the moment you see your account growing. Many of you make poor financial decisions even with the money borrowed from banks. You don't need to withdraw 98% of the money in your akant to buy tear rubber Land Rover Discovery, when you can buy a used Camry from a friend of a friend; a car which will take you from Point A to Point B for the time being. The need for instant gratification with the sole purpose of trying to "pepper" people (including exes ) is the reason some of your business ventures fail.I do agree with you though that life/nature can be unfair, but this is experienced by both men and women. |
haybhi1:I've always known they say it to feel better about their miserable selves. In fact, the more miserable a man is, the more he shouts that he's the prize. A boy who will be stealing Wi-Fi passwords to access the internet will be there shouting upandan that he's the prize, while the real prize (high value men) don't even open mouth. I'm just glad to see this truth coming from a man. Thank you. |
haybhi1:I've read so many times on Nairaland that men are superior, it's a man's world and men are the prize. What has changed now? Is it not a man's world anymore? Are they not the prize anymore? Are they not superior anymore? |
danvon:Always justifying trash. |

Is this younger man Kylian Mbappé or is he Musa the gateman? Asking for a close friend. |
folake4u:Just look at this.... Are there any kitchen skills she lacks? E.g., cooking?....Are we to believe that the poster who typed the above rubbish is mentally stable? |
folake4u:Very disturbing comments I tell you. I won't rule out demon possession. |
cococandy:They have serious mental issues. Sometimes one wonders whether they're like this in real life or whether they do just adopt a new persona for the internet. I sincerely hope it's the latter because I can't imagine people being this satanic. I always hope and pray that my son will never end up with this kind of mental disorder. I'm also genuinely curious about what kind of trauma they've experienced that transformed them into such monsters. God save our daughters from these lunatics. |
Difrent:Nope. Protesting is not your thing. |
helinues:Bottom line is, no one is behind the protests. It's an independent movement. No one is even behind its continuation. If anything it's the government that are now sending goons to infiltrate peaceful protestors and then claim that the youth are now violent criminals. |
helinues:I don't know where you got this rubbish from. Young people are protesting because they are tired of the current Kenya regime, just like everybody else. These protests are about the people vs the government. Young people of all tribes and political affiliations have come together for a common purpose. It's not just about the Finance Bill. They're demanding accountability for public expenditure. The Kenyan government consists of Cabinet Secretaries (I believe you refer to them as 'ministers' in Nigeria) who buy watches worth 240,000 USD (approx. 360,000,000 nairas) and instead of keeping mum about it, the imbeciles go ahead and flaunt their expensive watches on 'X'; watches which have been bought using the looted public funds. What kain stupïdity be dat? If I steal your property I shouldn't be so brazen about flaunting it to you! When the doctors and nurses go on strike, this same government claims that the Treasury has no money. You have no money to pay doctors and nurses but you can afford exotic trips for government officials worth billions? Really? Do you think Kenyans need to be sponsored to protest against this kind of horseshït? If you say it's people from Mt. Kenya who sponsored the protests, how do you explain the protests in the president's own home turf? Were they also sponsored by Mt. Kenya people? Ruto's billboards and political party symbols was brought down in Eldoret and Kericho, where his own people reside. That's like saying Peter Obi's people have sponsored the youth in Ibadan and Abeokuta to protest against Tinubu and bring down his billboards. You know how far-fetched that is, right? The old politicians cannot just believe that young people can come together for a common purpose against a regime they have zero confidence in. They have come up with all manner of theories about who is sponsoring them. Some had already started claiming that the protests were funded by Raila and when it sounded too comical and far-fetched, they dropped that theory. They then moved to blaming NGOs (who are usually perpetually broke ). I now come to Nairaland only to find another theory being peddled. The simple explanation is that Kenyans are protesting because they are extremely fed up with this circus of a government. Totally fed up! You need no sponsorship when you've had it up to here (** taps forehead).

Sad. Sad. Sad. |

Af0nja:The Finance Bill has been on every Kenyan's lips; the young, the old, urban residents, village residents, students, business owners, market women, blue collar workers, corporate employees, pastors, imams, farmers, academicians, health professionals, civil societies, etc. Oh trust me. They all knew what they were protesting about. Kenyans have many negative traits but illiteracy ain't one of them. Af0nja:The Kenyan government will pay. If that incompetent and corrupt president can afford to spend 20 billion Kenya shillings on over 60 useless foreign trips in 20 months, use billions to renovate the State House (the presidential villa), create and allocate money for the "Office of the First Daughter" so that his daughter can earn her millions for doing absolutely nothing, and spend billions of Kenya shillings on "tree planting" holidays; surely this same government should have no problem renovating those vandalised properties. ![]() |

This OP usually requires very little effort to trigger an avalanche of reactions. ![]() All he needs to do is create a topic (which will usually be pushed to FP) and emotions start to run high. It's always entertaining to watch how his threads degenarate into the usual banters with the same elements every single time. Every. Single.
