What surprises me is that these girls have no qualms discussing their immoralities online. There's an absence of shame amongst the ladies young people of today.
This is what makes me want to pull my hair out. A couple of years ago young people did stupïd things but kept mum about it. Nowadays, everyone just thinks they should flaunt their stupïdity online. It's one thing when you're anonymous, but proudly posting idiotic videos online? Mtcheeeewww....

to be frank he has a point.

the other day i was at a barbershop and there was a lagos radio talk show with a 'feminist' ranting
i actually got so irritated listening to her i asked them to change the channel, but they were already triggered and insisted on leaving it

all the lady did was blame men and complain and shutdown any male who called in. and at one point - she dropped the line - well that is the mans job! - which contradicted everything she had been complaining about

the men were all listening and also getting riled. so for anyone both male and female who has never actually been exposed to what feminism is, talk show hosts like this are selling a narrative - it is about blaming men for not doing their share in the house, while simultaneously telling same men it is their job and their job only to bring home the dough - and at the same time discounting or disregarding the chores that men do around the house.

in the days before the flood, it was a common argument on this platform where 'feminists' would argue that the mans money is for the family, while their money is for them to spend as they wish. basically emancipation without responsibility. and that unfortunately seems to be how a large number of women in the third world see feminism - as some sort of get out of jail card where you get get the benefits without the responsibility and expect to cherry pick responsibilities.
I think you've pretty much described toxic feminism, which is very different from Nairaland's idea of feminism.

While I agree with you that some women do take it too far (I'm reminded of a boss I once worked with), the word "feminist" is the most abused word online.

Any single woman with an opinion on anything, even politics, is a feminist.

When these fellows open their mouth waaaa to talk about feminism, they don't usually refer to the toxic version of it. To them, it usually just refers to a state in which a well-to-do single woman happens not to be so desperate for male validation or marriage. They don't necessarily refer to a woman who hates men or a woman who expects men to bend backwards to accommodate her selfishness or delusions.

Do you recall how Rita Dominic was considered a "feminist" before she got married? Genevieve, a quiet lady who doesn't even open her mouth to talk about men is usually labelled a feminist. Reason? She's rich and single.

Any woman who calls out on bullshït is labelled a feminist in Naija.

Hell, any single woman with a good job is a feminist.

it's not anybody fault to have spec
This spec of a thing it was a ladies that started it
Really?

So men didn't have preferences until they came across women? grin

They were just there dating innocently until women came into the scene with their different specs, so men decided to follow suit? You just have to blame women for everything, eh? Everything. grin

"It was ladies who started it..." You sound just like Adam - "It's the woman you gave unto me that gave me the fruit from the tree and I ate it...".

The woman must take the blame. Issorite.

Up there seems to be professional advise.

I have a bad tooth but the crater isn't that large. If it becomes painful, I simply eat garlic and let it move towards that particular tooth.

Soonest enough, the pain is gone and would be like that for some days.

The garlic kills the germs causing the tooth decay and especially the pain.

That particular germ loves sugar and that's why pain levels increase astronomically when sugar touches the tooth.
All these garlic and salt solutions are temporary. The guy needs to do a root canal treatment done by a good dentist.

A professional dentist/endodontist will likely prescribe a root canal procedure.

RomanceRe: As A Married Woman, I'm Tired Of Sleeping With Different Men by Farfalla(f): 9:48am On Jun 02, 2024
1Sharon:
Well, you don't know if her husband was denying her sex at home. There is something he isn't doing. He shouldn't allow other men to break his home.

Does he remain neat the same way he approached her?
Personally, I've never understood why men these days cannot just endure. Marriage is hard work. It takes a wise husband to understand that a woman cannot just have Afang soup for the rest of her life. She must also sample Egusi and Ewedu from time to time.

It's only a foolish man who worries himself about who his wife sleeps with. Just because she sleeps with other men it doesn't mean that she doesn't love him. As long as she performs her wifely duties, he shouldn't worry himself about those small small boys outside.

Has he even tried approaching his pastor and church elders for prayer and counselling?

So why not just wife the amoeba who gives you peace of mind instead? Why marry the devil then start searching for peace of mind later on?

Who are you people trying to deceive?

So a man knew a woman has no pleasant character but he still went ahead and wifed her only to begin searching for "good character" afterwards? Where's the logic in that?

Secondly, you all know very well that a well-brought up woman with "character" will not choose to have an affair with a married man. A woman with character will not be found anywhere near another woman's husband.

Character my arsę.

folake4u:
Lol wahala.

So what if someone now lies about his tribe to get accommodation? grin

Mehnnn. It is prevalent in Nigeria. You'd see posts like "No Igbo tenant" or "Yoruba preferred tribe".
Like I said, it's not the common thing. Still, it wouldn't be practical to lie anyway because somewhere down the line a copy of your national ID card would be required to sign a rental lease agreement.

Our ID cards usually indicate our full names (even if you have 4), date of birth, place of birth, place issued, and county/sub-county of origin (this is basically where your village people reside and it's the part stupïd bigots rush to see first). Unless you walk around with a fake ID here it will be difficult to lie about your tribe.

"No Igbo tenant", "Yoruba preferred". Chai! Your own is too undiluted. grin

In Nigeria, some landlords won't give single ladies accommodation or some will use preferred tribe to screen prospective tenants.
Though not common, this is something I once encountered while searching for accommodation in Nairobi some years ago. grin
The landlord agreed to accommodate me because, using his words, "Unatoka barabara ya upande huu...". This loosely translates to, "The road to your home village is this direction..." This he said while pointing to a certain direction and I knew for sure he had no plans to accommodate the tribe(s) from the other direction(s). grin

1. He is 72 years old.

2. He has retired from active service.

3. He worked all his life to raise his children.

4. He deprived himself of life's pleasures to pay for expensive school fees and living expenses for his children abroad.

5. They are now well-off in Europe, Australia, and America.

6. His wife, aged 62, has relocated to live with their children.

7. He remains alone back in Nigeria.

8. His children barely call him.

9. He has to start life all over again as a bachelor.

10. He struggles with high blood pressure and other ailments associated with old age.

11. How much longer will he survive alone?

12. This is the reality for most working-class monogamous men: their old age is often lonely and, in many cases, sad.

13. No matter how good the man is, women tend to love their children more than their husbands. The older he gets, the less use they seem to have for him.

14. So, what do men truly benefit from marriage?

15. They sacrifice so much but receive little recognition for their hard work, while the woman seems to reap all the benefits.

It’s a man’s world they say but for the women and children in reality.

Dear men, this could be your situation in the next few decades. What are you doing about it?

What is your retirement plan?

Care for your self as much as you fend for your family. Love yourself.
Liar!

Why would children abandon their fathers? What reason would they have to do that?

Omggggggggg!!!!! I thought I was the ONLY weird child in the world that used to suck the nectar out of flowers. There was one flower plant in my house that suffered in my hands as a child, I sucked the living daylight out of it. It was so SWEET! But I later got a pollen allergy from the flower and my father cut down the plant down to its stem. I legit cried. cry

But it's good to know I wasn't the only one who sucked nectar as a child. I wasn't weird after all. cheesy

I now know how saffron threads taste like. Looking forward to it some day.

Hahahaha what do Kenyans call kebab. I'd like to see it. 😂😂

Had no idea Kenya tea is one of the best. Good to hear that, we do learn everyday. kiss

Nigerians are the worst, we call hot chocolate "tea". grin grin

What type of tea do you like? Green tea? Lavender tea? Ginger tea?

Lol. I think old people like sticking to ways that are familiar to them. I won't blame your papa that much.🤣

Nahhhh! No offense taken at all. We all have lives outside of Nairaland (except trolls) so you can respond at your convenient time.
1. So you sucked nectar too? Hahaha.... grin

2. I'll find a picture that represents that Kenyan 'kebab' and post it, with the hope that it will not find its way into Poco's collection alongside that infamous spaghetti picture belonging to one incel. 🤣🤣

3. I take green tea because its health benefits have been hyped over the years and I bought into it, but I don't exactly prefer its flavour or anything. I sometimes add lemon and honey depending on whatever time of the month it is, but most times I add nothing to it.

Have a pleasant week ahead.
