Am getting very scared for the future of this country with the kind reasoning being manifested by the youth. #600 million has been spent over the years. How many years he's the IGP talking about? How many dogs were purchased? If u don't have answers to these questions u may just shut up rather than show sheer ignorance and stupidity. |
The question u should ask is how old is the guy? Being in JSS2 doesn't necessarily mean the student is a toddler. I know a boy who's 14yrs and he's in primary 4. How old would he be when he gets to JSS2? |
Blame it on Davido and KCEE. Wizkid needed to show them he's the Baba Nla and went a step further by impregnating her. Undisputed Baba Nla! |
I commend all the experts who have made out time from their impossible schedules to answer repetitive queries. One of my regrets in life was my failure to learn mechanic work when I was much younger; I console all Nigerian car owners for the nightmare we have to endure from these bunch of quacks who call themselves mechanics. I drive a V6 2001 Camry xle and recently I noticed the car is not as responsive as it used to and getting too slow for a v6 engined car. I complained to my mechanic in Ibadan and he changed my ATF without seeking my authorisation (meanwhile I had change d gearbox ATF wt d Toyota brand a week before). The car has become even slower and now there's delay in the shifting of gear. Please what do I do? Secondly, I would want to know the implications to the car of converting the car to manual? Thank you as I await a very urgent response from the house. God bless you all. |
For those of you making stupid comments my simple prayer for you is that may you put in about 30 years of service and when you are about to get to the summit of your career may an outsider be brought to head you. |
Rather than address issues people just talk rubbish. Buhari told us he was keeping his list to his chest however u&I knew how that played out. 90 percent of the names being branded were d names read to us by the Senate president. Based on their performances during the screening I sincerely hope this is what buhari would come up wt eventually. Adewole though a medical doctor can still do well in education. He has all d requisite experience to excel in that position having held positions ranging from HOD to VC of the premier university in Nigeria. However, I think there should be a minister of state for education. |
Honestly when I read certain comments on nairaland I get really worried for the future of this country. Sheer emptiness and shallowness of contents and thoughts. No wonder the country is like this. Back to the issue, I am deeply concerned about the state of our economy as it's in shambles. State can't pay salaries etc, it's frightening. The incoming finance minister has an arduous task to confront thus we can't afford to have a neophyte. From the list the best we can have is the gentleman from Abia. I pray God grant him the wisdom to turnaround the fortunes of this nation, Nigerians have suffered for too long. God bless Nigeria. |
Considering the brilliance and astuteness displayed by both BRF and Ibe Kachukwu am I am of the opinion that Nigerian youths should put aside every tribal and religious sentiment and clamour for this joint ticket come 2019. What do you say? |

Reading through all of these is just getting me angry. Are we so daft in this country that we can address the real issue? I get angrier when people keep saying both ss/se have shut themselves from senate president and speaker. The basic criteria for anyone to be the speaker: 1. The party should have majority in the House 2. The member should be ranking The last time I checked 2 members from Edo State are eminently qualified to occupy the position. The SW is occupying the No. 2 position and rather than support the SS to get what truly belongs to them, they are plotting to snatch the position for themselves. This only reiterate that the only marginalised part of the country is the SS. Therefore, for justice, equity and peace the speakership must be zoned to SS. |
santos247:Do you just post without reading through? Requirement for the position of speaker is "ranking" Are u saying the two returning reps from Edo North don't deserve to be speaker or what? For fairness SS should get the speaker's position. Hon. Peter Akpatason (former NUPENG President) representing Akoko-Edo federal constituency is ranking thus should be considered for the position. |

This controversy has already settled itself. What is needed is application of common sense and logic. Considering the era in question it's impossible for a total stranger to be crown a king in an already established empire. secondly, the Benin empire predates any known Yoruba empire and lastly it's a common fact that the binis established Eko (Benin word for camp). |
What about similarities in art, Edo dynasty in Japan and the celebration of Uneme festival; mere coincidence? |
Congrats! U can reach out to me for partnership. |
My brother you are not far from the truth. History had it that ''Uneme'' brought blacksmith technology to the Benin empire and the weapons made by the Unemes were used by the warriors for their expenditures which led to the massive expansion of Benin empire. Today one of the very popular festival in Japan is Uneme Festival; Koriyama, Fukushim. Is this also a coincidence? |
With these illogical reasoning and idiotic comments, I fear for the future of this country. Jonathan's decision to sack residents is ludicrous; an action any "right thinking" person should condemn in strongest terms. |
Mzflexydeeva: Signing Out of UI 2013/2014 thread. I was here. Adios people.......peace out!Chai! Chai!! Chai!!! UI, there is God ooooooooooooo |
Guys pls I need all the help this forum can offer. My Tecno F7 screen just went blind. I am planning to return it to carlcare then I remembered I rooted the phone. Is there a way I can unroot it? I beg make una help a broda. |
Hello guys, The phone contacts is not sync with the Google contacts. I tried to export contacts from phone to Google contact and ended up duplicating my contacts. Also the phone has become so unresponsive. Apps keep hanging and annoyingly slow. Gurus pls I seek expert advice. Merci! |
@Nadia Your love for Nigeria is simply amazing. I think I have a green passport for you. Well back to the thread, reading these comments simply make me laugh. I hope some of us were old enough to remember France 98. FYI the bonus row is still unresolved, no FA representative nor the coach was even present at the draw, Mikel and Co will fly in a day before the match. Yet we playing against a very organized FA, players that would even pay just to don their father's land jersey and most importantly a team that has improved considerably. Granted we have better players but we all know that alone is not sufficient to win games. All the same I pray we qualify. |

fonnyswt: @ Faru tanx 4 d rooting lecture but I don't tink I can root ma phone cos am kinda scared afta all d tin u have told miU are most welcome. The decision to root a phone should be base on your everyday use of that phone. Certain apps won't even work on unrooted phones. However, if you are enjoying the phone just the way it is then u may decide not to root it. The sad truth is that u can never obtain optimal benefit of an android phone without rooting it. Therefore are you prepare to void your warranty just to enjoy your phone? Lastly an average phone user underutilize his phone on the basis of daily requirement so what is the point of rooting? |
stanstevo2: btw i have succesfully ported 4.1.2 to f7 and i can admit there is an improvement in project butter in addition to the good looking notifs in the status bar, hope theres someone trying to port 4.2, if ur intrested pm me.Do we have to pm you to share the good news? Ogbeni Steve yemu something! |
fonnyswt: @ Faru or everybody pls wat is dis rooting all about? Cos I just bought my F7 A+ pls wat is rooting all about and how does it help and how can I root it pls reply tanxWhat is "Rooting?" The Android phone that you have learned to love and enjoy is running an operating system that was designed for commercial and private use. Like most any operating system, several features have been disabled, either for future use or to prevent the casual user from causing permanent damage to the operating system. "Rooting" is the process in which the limitations are removed and full-access is allowed. Once rooted, the Android phone owner will have more control over many settings, features and performance of their phone. Basically, "rooting" means to get to the root of the operating system and to have the ability to make global changes. Disadvantages There are two main disadvantages to rooting and Android phone; Rooting immediately voids your phone's warranty-Once rooted, don't try to bring your phone back for service or warranty work. You are on your own! Rooting involves the risk of "bricking" your phone-In essence, a "bricked" phone is no better than carrying around a brick in your pocket. The phone is dead when it has been "bricked." Other potential disadvantages, though less severe, are still worthy of consideration; Poor performance-Though the intention of "rooting" a phone is to give the phone more performance, several users have found that, in their attempts to speed up the phone or add additional features, that their phones lost both performance speed and features. Remember that when you "root" your Android phone, you are making changes to the stock operating system. Viruses-Yes, even phones can get viruses. A common practice that people do with "rooted" phones is to flash their ROM's with custom programs. Whenever you make changes to the code of a software, you run the risk of introducing a virus. Advantages "Rooting" your Android phone does afford you numerous benefits, including; Running special applications-Superuser is an app that can only be run on a rooted Android phone. This allows you to control which apps have access to the "root" system. Another popular application that "rooting" affords is the ability to tether a computer to your Android phone so that the computer can access the Internet using the phone's data connection. Another program can allow your Android to be used as a WiFi Hotspot without having to pay your provider for the feature. Freeing up memory-When you install an app on your phone, it is stored on the phone's memory. "Rooting" allows you to move installed applications to your SD card, thus freeing up system memory for additional files or apps. Custom ROM's-This is the most powerful feature of "rooted" phones. There are hundreds of custom ROM's that can do anything from speeding up the processing speed of your phone to changing the entire look and feel of your phone. Summary The decision to "root" your Android phone is one that should not be rushed into. Though the allure of having an unlocked phone is powerful, having a "bricked" phone is, trust me, not very much fun. (culled from about.com) If you decide to root your phone then you can go through the earlier post on this thread. |
Agreed Marcjoe has been most resourceful on this thread and I honestly appreciate is contributions, however, I completely distaste his belligerent attitude towards every negative comment about F7. You cannot bully people into accepting your views on every issue. The big question is despite this comparison has the sales of F7 dropped? Obviously no. Ogbeni Godvilla perhaps I should remind you that this is not a comparison thread. I rooted my phone through meaningful contributions posted on thread. Just imagine for moment if every post on this thread is tilted towards argument and comparison I bet my phone would still be unrooted. please let bye gone be bye gone so we can have a more constructive discussion. I feel am underutilising this phone. What can this machine do(FYI I no like games). Enjoy your evening and peace to you all. |
It is very religious to have faith. Nigerians are religious people, therefore Nigerians have faith. Faith don't work in society where do more u look the less you see; where there is no reward for hard work; where what you know is irrelevant but who you know. My advice to the UG applicants is for you guys to focus on your studies here (from interraction with you, most of you are already in institutions). So when you graduate with outstanding grades then you can apply to society where academic excellence is both celebrated and rewarded. Then you can pray, hope, fast and have faith 'cos you are assured that the more you look the more you would see. My congratulations to those who have been called whether you merit it or not is irrelevant, but is pertinent is that you make very good use of this golden opportunity so your return you can also contribute to the development of our country. May God bless you all and God bless Nigeria. |
What is the code for the air tel 4G BIS plan? Is like the *440*161# is not working. Pls I need help. |
@Marcjoe u don't need to pick on every comment at times it is much better to simply ignore. I must commend your effort in making sure everyone with the phone get optimal value for their money. Let us focus more energy in this area. Some of us have very limited knowledge on the capabilities of android os and would want to update our knowledge so where are the emeritus professors? @samsad u made my day cos I had a very good laugh. A lot of people buy gadgets that won't even use one tenth of the functionality. What is important is u identify certain features u want in a phone and if a particular phone has it u go for it irrespective of brand name. My first smart phone was a Nokia E90 which I used for a very long time. When my friends mock me that my level is beyond that phone, I simply laugh cos I was convinced it was serving my purpose. I only upgraded when the phone no longer met my daily requirements. Nobody is saying that the F7 is a perfect phone; as a matter of fact I complained bitterly about the battery when I 1st got it; however juxtaposing the price with functionality we can conviniently say it is a modest phone. Granted Tecno still have a long way to El Dorado, we can all attest that they are definitely on that path. Am looking forward to the day they will commence the production of their phones in naija. God bless u all. |
