I agree totally with Lai Mohammed on this. The president was elected to solve problems & I expect him to try & solve this instead of denying about his involvement in the 'resume or be sacked' drama.

And yes not every compensation should be made in ministerial appointments, let alone such a sensitive position.

Yea you're right. I guess it has to do with intimacy and closeness. This is not even restricted to couples. Even friends that are close and so used to themselves start having a resemblance.. At this stage they even think alike

Business › Re: Why Are Prices Of Goods High In Nigeria During Festive Period? by fasho01(m): 1:07pm On Dec 01, 2013
Don't understand why some people here are busy using economics termshuh

Does mama nkechi selling chicken understand defective monetary & fiscal policies nor adamu selling cow neither does iyabo selling foodstuffs. All they know is that people have to buy so they must make the best out of it.

A poster earlier said GREED & that's the simple truth.

Even tailors that have more work to do still increase their pay during festive period. Its greed & wickedness joor. Not saying they shouldn't make profit o..but exploiting people is bad

Education › Re: News:ASUU Cries Out: We Are Only Asking For Our Unpaid Salaries! by fasho01(m): 8:42am On Nov 30, 2013
ASUU is as dangerous as BH in this country. How can they DEMAND for full payment of 4 months salary that they did NOTHING. Even giving condition for payment or else it will be 5 months salary.

TERRORISTS with face.. Daylight robbery!
Politics › Re: Edo State PDP To Pay Abused Widow N250,000 – Governor Oshiomhole Under Fire by fasho01(m): 8:12am On Nov 30, 2013
As expected, the issue has been politicised.

Its a good thing that the issue is being politicised in a positive way although the motives may not be pure but at least the poor widows would benefit from it & won't be abandoned to 'go and die'
Education › Re: "Sack Threat Will Only Worsen The Strike"-ASUU by fasho01(m): 7:59pm On Nov 28, 2013
As much as I want schools reopened, I don't think this move is a good one.

It would have been better to hijack the ASUU leaders, torture them to the point where they will call off & then make them know that any attempt to go on strike will lead to lipsrsealed

That's how 'force' should be applied in this case IMO. This sack of a thing is not just feasible.

A valid question indeed!

Those paying house rents, how will they be compensated?

God is watching those selfish union members in 3D

Family › Old Age : The Journey Back To Childhood by fasho01(op): 5:17am On Nov 26, 2013
Over the weekend, we had our aunt around(who is 70+) and it was as though we had a child around.

Taking care of her wasn't an easy task as it was like taking care of an infant but what makes it worse is that she claims to know what she is doing unlike the infant who just allows you do everything for it without interference.

I'm relieved now that she's gone. Indeed the saying that 'from childhood to adulthood, and from adulthood back to childhood' is true.

Don't know who else agrees that the aged truly behave like children.

Prevention is better than cure.

Though unfair but if allowed unchecked, they will multiply, dominate & then be influnced by the extremists & then they will have serious issues to deal with.

I see it as foresight

Well you may be right cos I do not trust this Govt one bit. But please let the strike be called off first before you start crying wolf. Enough of all the delay

Family › Through The Eyes Of The Blind by fasho01(op): 12:47am On Nov 19, 2013
I boarded a BRT bus over the weekend and so did this young man & his blind brother. When the seats were all occupied, a standing passenger leaned on the blind boy who was sitting on his brothers lap in the bus and this raised eyebrows.

To my disgust, the passenger saw nothing wrong in his actions, claiming it was tight in the bus and so he didn't have an option & even picked a fight with the brother of the blind boy and whosoever was against him. It would have been better if this passenger was alone in his folly but to my dismay few passengers were on his side, saying 'after all its a public bus & we all paid the same fare'.

It turned into a heated arguement in the bus and while all this was going on, my gaze was on this poor boy, probably 11 or 12 years of age but there was no expression on his face.. None at all. I tried to imagine what must have been going through his mind and how he must have felt at that moment. Was this outright discrimination the norm in his world that he has grown up to accept as part of life? Or was he fed up with it but trying to contain his emotions? Yet, he was calm but moments after decorum was maintained in the bus, I noticed tears roll down this poor boys eyes. I had to fight tears from rolling down my eyes as well. It was very touching.

This is an appeal to those who have no regard to the less priviledged amongst us and show them no sympathy. Please have a change of heart as they have a lot to deal with already psychologically. If you cannot be of help to them in anyway possible, at least do not compound their woes.

And to that fellow in the bus that day. May God forgive you

A serious issue indeed. Waiting eagerly for the 'elders' to come thrash this out.

@ op. Mehn.. You have really tried. For you to seek advice gives the impression that irrespective of being starved, you haven't looked outside. Hope I'm guessing right
