sufido123:Did you pull out the % of Igbos in Lagos from your anus? Igbo population in Lagos is less than 10%. While Hausa and others are about 20%. Let's assume population of Igbos in Lagos to be 40%. What percentage does Hausa/Fulani and others should be? And what should percentage of Yorubas who are Lagos indigenes should be? 20%? |

Goddex:There are indications that the Federal Government’s Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) may not continue beyond this year. SURE-P chairman, Gen Martin Luther Agwai (rtd) said poor budgeting for SURE-P activities may make it impossible for the programme to continue beyond this year. Speaking during an end of year dinner for journalists held in Abuja, he lamented that the entire N102 billion budgeted for SURE-P in 2015 was about N2billion less than what was budgeted for roads and bridges under SURE-P in 2014. He explained that the entire amount budgeted for the programme in 2015 was just what was allotted to road projects (N104 billion) out of the N268.37 billion budget in 2014 and warned that SURE-P may cease to exist after 2015 if the trend continues. “This is the danger of relying on oil as a major revenue earner,” he noted. Agwai further stated that, “SURE-P can’t perform equitably in 2015 and may cease to be after 2015. We must prepare for the worst case scenario that SURE-P may disappear. If SURE-P’s story isn’t the same next year, that is the reason.” Earlier, he expressed appreciation to the media for its critical analysis of the SURE-P implementation procedure and processes, noting that this has helped them improve their strategies towards effective and efficient delivery of the SURE-P mandate. “Through you the media, the scepticism over the establishment of SURE-P and its benefit to the socioeconomic wellbeing of our country and the citizenry has abated. This is evident through the judicious use of all of the 41 per cent share of the funds accrued to the federal government from the partial removal of fuel subsidy on the pump price of petroleum,” he added. http://leadership.ng/news/399420/sure-p-may-not-continue-beyond-2015-agwai |
Sure-P is a scam by Jonathan. My brother is a staunch supporter of GEJ because of this Sure-P work he got five months ago. He has not been paid after working for four months. I already told him the job won't be there after the election because the government can't sustain this. |
Retrenchment looms in Nigeria. Whoever becomes the president next month must face a tough decision whether to retrench some workers or continue with status quo. I am sure retrenchment of workers must happen sometimes this year. Nigeria is broke at the moment due to fall in oil prices. The only reason tough measures have not gone into effect is because of the coming election. The writing is on the wall for all to see. Government will have no reason not to raise taxes, levies, and fees on import goods. I found out today that my younger brother that got employment since September has not been paid. When they got their appointment letters in August, they were told they won't be paid until after working for the first three month. He started in September and up till today he has not been paid a penny. There is a tough task ahead. There is pain ahead for most Nigerians. |

But why on Monday? Why not on a weekend? The people who they need to come out must go to work on Monday. Who wants to be at a campaign rally on a Monday? |

Bigcake:You are taking this propaganda to another level. You are the one in dream land. It is okay to be against someone but these lies and propaganda won't work against Buhari. You are indeed strengthening the resolve of his supporters. You are making him more popular by the day. The more noise of propaganda you make, the more popular Buhari gets. By the way, about 13 million people voted for him in 2011, why haven't they died yet? They are still living while extra millions are waiting to cast their votes for him this year. |
![]() Joke! |
Not a bad idea to buy a plot from there but these Nasarawa people are always fighting one war or the other. That is my only concern. I lived in Abuja for seven years and I know this area very well.. |
segzy14:Nice Structure! very cute too.... |
What kind of country is this? There is no emergency service to attend to these people within ten minutes. This country has been turned upside down. |
mufutau55:The picture of the kitchen they made for him looks horrible. How can someone make kitchen cabinet and the space for refrigerator and gas cooker came out about 10 inches wider than they supposed to be? They came out not straight and scratches here and there on the cabinets. I will request for the pictures and post here today if I can. |
mufutau55:Our local artisan need to start buying the imported doors, break them down and see what the foreign artisan doing differently. Let me tell you a story. A friend was building a house at Lekki. The friend is based in New Jersey. When the construction of the building was going on he wasn't there and everything went well. He paid a visit and it was time for interior design. He wanted a good kitchen and he told the contractor about what he wanted. They couldn't find who could provide the design of the kitchen of his choice. Then they found a company somewhere in Ikeja to do the design and they charged 800,000 Naira. He came back to New Jersey while the kitchen was being done. When they sent him the picture of the finishing, he couldn't believe his eyes for what he paid 800,000 Naira for. It was an horrible kitchen. He went to Nigeria recently and he ended up tearing the entire kitchen down and promised to get a kitchen shipped to Nigeria. The kitchen cabinet he is about to build at Home Depot will cost him only $3699. That is our people for you. I told my friend that our artisans are good at doing things but finishing is where they are bad. I have never been impressed with a single locally made door here. Let it be wooden or steel. They are just not up to it for me. |
mufutau55: ![]() Muyesky threads and some spyder threads with a lot of locally made doors. If you want me to dig them up, I don't mind but there is no point to dig them up. The local artisans are trying but they shouldn't be compared or praised for what they have to offer because they are not prepared to improve on what they know. Giving critique is good sometimes and won't be bad. |
These doors have metal inserted in them. Compare to what we make in Nigeria.

mufutau55:I beg to disagree to everything you said about fiber door and those locally made steel doors you praise here all the time. Sometime when you praise those locally made doors here I just shake my head in disbelief. I don't know how far you have gone with regard to checking out steel doors and fiberglass doors in the U.S. I am not talking about Home Depot or Lowes. There are companies that sell both steel doors, fiberglass doors and tough real wood doors in the U.S that you will bow when compared to those doors you praise here all the time. You don't have to break a bank account to buy them. Even I have seen many at Home Depot and Lowes, I have seen fiberglass made doors that are better than the so called steel doors made in Nigeria that you praise all the time. I shake my head in disbelief sometimes with the finishing of the doors I see here that are made in Nigeria. Look at the glossy paint they use when painting the locally made door. Most of the doors I see here look like they have been dipped in some oil with the way they look. I am not saying our artisans in Nigeria are not trying but they are too much in a hurry to get things done to the extent that they ignore the finishing aspect of what they are doing. |
I don't blame FFK because Obasanjo planted FFK and Ribadu in PDP's camp. Don't forget, it was FFK who edited Obasanjo's letter to the President in 2013. There is nothing going on in PDP that is not being leaked to Obasanjo. Obasanjo planted FFK there as a mole. FFK in GEJ's camp is another Obasanjo's masterstroke. OBJ beat them once again. |
