This guy was recommended to me by Hajji Muftau but he bleeped up big time. Hajji right now is regretting sticking his neck out for him to get him jobs. I gave him a job to design, fabricate and install all my kitchen cabinets and closets for my build. Most of you here know my project. The scope of work is 4 kitchens and 14 rooms. He billed me for both materials and labour. He promised to deliver the work by November last year. He has collected so far 92.4% of the total sum of the project. Right now he has abandoned the job and not picking calls.

He only finished 1 of the four units. The other three units were left uncompleted. he didnt bring the granite slabs for all the remaining 3 kitchens neither did he finish all the kitchen cabinets and the closets for the remaining units.

Folks do not fall victims to this guy i beg you in the name of God especially those in diaspora.

The guy is not picking my calls neither Hajji Muftau's calls also. I will go to any length to recover my money but I thought I should warn any other person contemplating giving him jobs, don't waste your money o. I have done my part.

I'm tired of these Nigerian artisans. Similar thing just happened to me with another nairalander who promised to deliver my EBM windows since end of November. It has been one lie after another. He gave four different delivery dates. This guy took money from me and did nothing. I surprised him by letting top brass in the police deal with him. He's now doing my window with top speed after knowing what we have in stock for him.

The bad work practice couldn't have started from plastering stage. The contractor was careless and reckless from the get go....

Take a look at the bottom of the lintel and make a judgment.

Did Eghosajonny build this house? It looks like eghosajonny projects. All his projects have their unique look. This particular one looks like his handwork.

I doubt integrity of this structure. There are thousands of visible cracks everywhere. Why not tear it down and avoid future calamity? I know it is tough because the owner has spent a lot.

If you decide to help the owner do some corrections here and there and something happens to this structure in the future, they won't blame whoever constructed this house from foundation to roofing, Skimanski is the one they are likely to blame and put the blame on.

If I were you, I wouldn't touch it.

Honestly, this project will answer this question. Its more of a RnD project to see if Alternative methods can actualize same, bad or better results than the Usual Nigerian methods.

My hypothesis is that no need to waste Tiles, which is expensive, behind Cabinet which will be cover anyways. Other than application and carefulness, it's should not affect functionality or aesthetic.

I am not wasting my tiles by having tiles behind the cabinets either. But it makes a lot of sense to have the back of the cabinets painted instead of having it with bare cement. I am using less tiles in my kitchen and bathrooms.

To replicate it, you must have the backsplash or close to it. I got something close or exactly like it in abundant.

I'm at the same stage as you. I just spent 600k+ on wires from Coleman factory too just as you just did. Once the electrician finishes the wiring, we proceed to hanging the plasterboards.

A lot of houses I know with amoured security doors that have been robbed, ended up being burgled with the rubbers [b]breaking the walls [/b]beside the doors with a cheap sledge hammer, or simply driving in behind the home owner.

At least the good news is that Lagos state government is planning to build a waste treatment facility at ibeju. I just wish other states will follow.

As for ground water contamination I will still advise one invest in deep water drilling to avoid contaminated surface water especially in Lagos ( water areas) and also go the extra length with installing a little treatment facility for chlorine injection for the safety of your family, children and tenants.

I totally agree with you. This was what prompted me to make the sacrifice and finally get my borehole done after drilling three wells on my property that didn't go deep enough for my liking. Imagine wells that didn't go deep more than 30 feet. Contamination of such wells is a possibility. Those pictures up there are heartbreaking for me. Water treatment facility on my property is a must.
