ok, but just know the best time to buy is when the market is red. I'm not a professional trader but i use a strategy that works for me. When investing i start with maybe 10-40% dedicated for a particular stock, depending on the pattern displayed. for a strong stock like amazon, i DCA when down like 3-5%. I see it as a discount. For speculative stock, maybe i cut my losses or if i really believe in the stock i DCA from 10%.

Don't be scared to DCA. I know everyone likes the green but try to never buy in green cos its the red that will make the different in your portfolio.

Coming back to cry.pto, i'm a sucker for swing trading. Do your daily job, get some money and invest in cry.pto. Take sometime to look for a coin with potential. Its not easy to find but its doable. The beginners in cry.pto should learn this first before diving into pattern and charts that will make you lose the bigger picture.
There are ways to find good coins, and its easy to learn. For me, TA with all these EMA strategy , isnt what you should be worried as a beginner, its like the flower you see on an iced cake. Your want the cake, maybe the icing too but not the flower yet. With time you could ask about how this flower on the cake is done, but until then get some knowledge on blockchain/ what makes a coi.n and token. How is done, whether its worth your money or not. Lets not forget, this is and investment thread and not a gambling thread.

Someone here shilled Cream. I checked and FOMOed in, took first profit, ran out. FOMOed again, then suddenly b. Tc started dumping, i FOMoEd out sharp sharp before them take the small profit i had from them. That cream finance is not something i will DCA anyway. Its like a dead cat that woke up to take its final breath. . It might pump in future but from what i saw in their twitter, they are only paying ppl who bought insurance in the defi. And they havent even gotten the hackers. Imagine ppl that bought at the top and doing DCA and all their analysis .

There are some coins i thought i lost so much money, i had to convert most of them to btc cos i knew one certain fact, bt.C will always survive any dip but your alts, you are not sure of surviving the dip. Eg nano is still not anywhere near its alt, some coins has vaporised from cryp.to space. Then i saw some posts on the Internet of ppl losing their houses, so much money in this space. Like the FOMO is real. One borrowed against their house without the knowledge of his wife to buy doge, now thay are homeless.
There will be losses, and their will be gains. But try to make your gains >than your lose.
To those who has lost so much, look at the future and hang on there. Take a break. And pls if you think you cant survive if your portfolio goes to zero, pls reconsider before taking the risk. Always invest what you are willing to loose.
Once you invest, try and get back your initial investment. Dont be too greedy. Greed kills all.

LRC(Swing trade/Hold). . This one i'm swing trading but will DCA if needed.
UFO,. got in around .x2000, sold some around . x52 , have a re-eter bid at .x37. It might not click now, but i'm riding my profit as i already taken money invested. Idea of game dev by community. sill in the beginning stage.
PYR.. sold my stash but will likely go back. I enjoyed their game ecosystem. At least there are games already developed. Unlike UFO that are still promising stage.
ANC. Bought some and staked in AnchorProtocol using their 19% yield on UST. Might not have a run but probably a decent value.(Better than what my bank gives me)

So most times i look around to shop some coins, try their use case, then see if they merit my hard earned money.

Don't mind them trying to look smart. One was even quoting oyibo. The oyibos i teach in my team. TA will either give you breadcrumbs or swallow your capital. FA will make you rich. I bought SOL at its early stage, tried their ecosystem, loved the simplicity, how easy you can even create your own token etc, during the massive dump, i kept buying it. I never used any TA. if i buy at 35usd, i set a bid for 32usd, down to i guess was 16 or so(At that point i believed in it and the price was good for it). When b. tc started pumping, i started taking profit little by little until when ppl started FOMO in SOL, i closed my last SOL on 250USD. I might still re enter but before that i will have to try some other ecosystem/co.ins shilled to see if they have a more friendly usecase/community etc. Thats how you make money real . Let the TA ppl carry our remaining breadcrumbs

There are videos on Binance on purchasing coins. Look at daily chart for a particular coin, eg GALA you will notice green candies for days.
As a newbie, your focus should be
1. Dont loose your capital.
2. Make profit.
I suggest with starting with B.TC and e.th when you master a little, you jump to alt with only small percent of your portfolio.

Get the fundamentals, good project, usecase, dev, marketing.. Find a bloody day, Invest and go to sleep. Always buy in red and take profit according. Calculating ema45 on a highly volatile asset, you need to be on it 247 watching screen . Dint forget to watch your mental health. Ema44 will not see that one.

There is nothing technical in crypto. Find a good coin and good usecase, watch if it has been pumping for long, buy and go to sleep. Set your take profit target when it gets there, it triggers.

If you are a trader, watch the set orders when your coins is pumping. Put a sell limit. If you notice so many orders on the same sell limit as you, reduce your sell limit. Its like ariaria market. Once too many ppl want to sell at a particular price, you can reduce yours to sell faster or else when btc dumps on you, your own don finish. Experiencr is the best teacher. Crypto no dey respect technical analysis.

I dont use the desktop on gate. Find it very heavy(too much info) and more friendly to professional traders. Im not a professional trader so i use the app for simplicity. Works for me.

Sold my PYR at 22, forgot to buy back. Only to see it gone to 50 . This is a blockchain of games is tested out myself and found very useful to invest in.
Will be watching now to know when to go back.

Select the coin you want to buy. On the trade button, go down to see the info for that trade. Click on info and select paramater 'funds flow'
