Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Thursday approved the appointment of Prof. Blessing Didia as the acting Vice Chancellor of the state’s University of Science and Technology. Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the governor, Mr. Opunabo Inko- Tariah, announced this in a statement in Port Harcourt. The Nigerian Army on Thursday paraded a suspected fake recruitment agent, vows to unmask others that are now at large and warns the populace against falling a prey. Director of Army Public Relations, DAPR, Colonel Sani Usman, who identified the suspect as Samuel Omoh Eromosele, told journalists in Abuja, that the suspect has defrauded not fewer than six unsuspecting job seekers to the tune of N32,000. According to Usman, “Samuel Omoh Eromosele, on the 9 May, 2015, posted an advertisement in the comments section of the website known as ‘ www.nigerianbestforum.com’. “The advert was entitled Nigerian Army Direct Short Service Commission 2015/2016 online application form”, where he demanded that interested persons paid N4, 500 each as application fee.” The Army spokesman disclosed that an investigation by the Military Police showed that the suspect, who posed as Balogun Precious Ehi, received N4, 500 through his First Bank account and N28, 000 through his Fidelity Bank account.
