Madam, during a difficult time, always remember that your character should be stronger than your circumstances, regardless of what you are passing through. I pray the lack in your family will turn to abundance in JESUS Name. Give your life to JESUS CHRIST and it shall be well with you. |

You haven't dated or had sex in a long time. If you tell him you've been out of circulation for a long time, the next question will be "Why?" And there's never a good answer. It will reflect badly on you and your value as a dateable woman. Family secrets We all have issues with our families. You shouldn’t bore your date with incendiary revelations about your parent’s rocky marriage, sordid tales of your licentious sister or about the brother locked up in Kamiti maximum prison for murder. The thought of having your brother sticking the barrel of a Ceska in his mouth in the event he breaks your heart is enough is to make him vanish. It’s only okay to share about your family secrets after he earns your trust; not on the firstdate. |

KANO -There was a mild drama Thursday in Kano between former Governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Sule Lamido and the Deputy Chief Registrar of Federal High court, Barrister Solomon Akpedah when the former was excused to move to a waiting van for a journey to Kano central prison. The Peoples Democratic Party stalwart was docked for 28 count charges alongside his two sons, Aminu and Mustapha, and one Wada Abubakar in connection with alleged corruption and money laundering of over N1.34 billion. The former governor shortly after he lost his freedom, following the refusal of the court to grant his bail application exclaimed, ‘you mean I’m now a prisoner.’ But the Deputy Chief Registrar of the Court, Solomon Akpedah who was handy responded swiftly to cool a heavily traumatised Jigawa born politician, as he quickly said ‘no sir, you are not a prisoner’ Justice Evelyn Anyadike while ruling on the bail application said that all the four accused persons should be remanded in Kano prison pending the appointment of a vacation judge to decide the veracity and other wise of the application. Justice Anyadike said, “the case is hereby adjourned for hearing to September 28th, while the four accused persons are to be remanded in prison custody in Kano”. The trial Judge who explained that she was in Kano by Fiat, further ruled that “the case will be handed over to a vacation Judge to listen to the bail application while the Judiciary goes on vacation next Monday. www.vanguardngr.com/2015/07/drama-as-court-sends-ex-gov-sule-lamido-to-prison/ cc: lalasticlala |

Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has called on Christians and Muslims in the country to unite and fight against Boko Haram insurgency. Okorocha made the call when he hosted the Muslim faithful to a Ramadan feast to mark the breaking of the Ramadan fast at the Imo Government House, Owerri. The governor said that Ramadan was a period of spiritual rebirth that required sober reflection, adding that country was also passing through a trying moment. He sympathised with the people of the North-East whom he said were passing through great difficulty as a result of continuous bombardment and killing of innocent people by the Boko Haram. The governor observed that the conflict was not a religious issue as being insinuated by some people; rather it was between the insurgents and their supporters. He urged Nigerians to pray for the nation, especially for President Muhammadu Buhari to enable him succeed. Okorocha also urged Nigerians to work together and be their brother’s keeper. Earlier, the Chairman of the Muslim Council of Imo, Alhaji Yusuf Nwoha said that since Okorocha came into power, it had become a tradition for him to host Muslims in the state during Ramadan. Nwoha described this year’s occasion as important and unique as the invitation was extended to Muslims residing in other South-East states. He expressed joy and appreciation for the honour done them and pledged the support and loyalty of the entire Muslim population in the state to the Okorocha -led administration. Nwoha requested for an EID ground, large enough to contain the ever increasing Muslim population in the state as well as establishment of Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board. www.vanguardngr.com/2015/07/okorocha-urges-christians-muslims-to-unite-against-boko-haram-insurgency/ lalasticlala |
