For the uninformed, nails are an essential part of IED's and the proveribal icing on the cake for terrorist bomb makers. Shrapnel is sent flying in all directions to cause even more collateral damage than an ordinary blast could achieve. Even ISIS militants are known to use nails in bomb making to ensure maximum kills.

This could be the major reason why the suspect was detained. The report should me taken seriously. Terrorism is no joke.

The OP said 'some nails'. So how many nails are required to make a bomb??
