Hello house, if the university certify ones degree certificate and send it to MCC for the first time, will ECFMG still notify the university for verification ?

It seems so cos MCC verifies ones degree through ECFMG and no other way, even if it was ur school that certified it. I believe it still has to go through the whole source verification process.

Hmm, I can't really remember how long it took for d status to change, probably a couple of days. I think you just have to be patient I'm sure it will change soon.

Alright. Guess I was wrong then. Though I sent a notarised copy and had no issues. It's a good thing it's been cleared up for the benefit of others starting d process.

I don't think you would be Penalised for that. You can send both. They'll probably take d ones they need and trash d rest

Please ensure the notary does everything correctly so you don't have to spend twice on courier and also waste time.

I don't think this is true. Both d copies of ur passport and mbbs degree certificate should be notarised.

Yes, u'll need to notarize d photocopy of d Certificate and international passport send along with d filled and stamped identity confirmation form, cover letter and consent release form. No, u won't need to notarize d cover letter

MBBS is assessed to be equivalent to Doctor of Medicine (MD) which evaluated as a professional degree

Please mama take her to see a paediatrician. I'm an advocate of specialist care once first line treatment isn't working, especially when it concerns children/babies

When I first saw their email that my document was rejected my heart skipped, until I saw where they said I didn't need to notarize it and I could scan and send via email.

I can imagine! Good thing they made it easier for u.

Reviewed and not accepted- June 4. This was due to a part of the certificate not showing on the photocopy
Another photocopy sent via email- June 4
Reviewed and accepted- June 29
Ready for ECFMG submission- June 29
Submitted to ECFMG- June 30
Verification returned (passed)- July 6

Thanks for sharing your timeline. I'm pleasantly surprised that they accepted the second copy u sent via email. It would have been extra expenses to send again via courier.

My DD ate rice around 6pm yesterday and after an hour she started vomiting. Altogether she vomited thrice within 7--9pm. She was playing as usual after each vomit, she was even very much active, it's just d vomit. No poo, no high temperature. We decided to jus watch her but around 1am she started running serious temperature, her body was so hot we had to mop her to keep it down. She's started coughing too, like continuous coughing. and I notice rashes all over her body. We have always been battling with rashes off and on since she was 3 month but her skin was clear as at yesterday but between yesterday 10pm and 3am rashes jus full her body and she's scratching it vigorously. I hope all is well. We should be at d hospital to see a paed this morning before 7am. She's 11 month today!

Sorry about the daughter's condition, it seems like a severe allergic reaction. Please I think u should take her to d hospital asap cos if it is an allergic reaction it would probably get worse and may start to affect her breathing. Thankfully, there's usually an injection that can help...please just take her to the hospital it would be treated as an emergency

If you're planning to have your medicals at children's practice, kindly arrive as early as 5am. I got there around 6am, and was the 40th person. They only accommodate 40 persons per day.

I don't think that lady is actually rude, she seems to be always under massive pressure. She does so many things at the same time without any helping hand. I think the management of the hospital needs to get more people in that reception, so many people trying to get her attention at the same time, to be fair enough, anyone will sound rude in that situation...I was even surprised she could still smile and joke with people the day I went.

You just spoke my mind. They are understaffed and d lady seems to be doing work meant for at least 2 personnels. She even made a mistake while processing me for d medical examinations but I couldn't really fault her cos I understand she was under a lot of pressure and she actually apologised for it

We've been at IOM since 8am and still haven't been attended to. I chose IOM because I felt it would be better organised and less stressful than a normal hospital but I guess I was wrong. It's especially frustrating when you are with a cranky toddler

Sorry, I feel ur pain, especially as regards the issue of a cranky toddler. Spent the whole day at children's practice with an energetic and cranky toddler. The stress that day ehn! Anyway, don't worry, it won't sha pass today.

And so it happened that I travelled down with my family to children's practice Lagos yesterday for my medicals. Got in around 8.40am and approached the receptionist on how to go about my medicals. The lady snubbed me for over 30mins. When she finally responded, she said "Oga, am full for the day". I didn't understand her and I asked "Hello ma, please what do you mean u r full for the day? ". She ignored me again. I called out to another staff and explained my plight, she told me "Sir, we only attend to 40 people a day and u need to come in as early 6am to put down ur name, dis list get filled even before 7am. You will need to come back very early tomorrow, please get a hotel close by and lodge. I was dazed. I drew their attention to the fact that I called to make enquiries the day before and nobody told me to come 6am. I was told to be there between 8am and 10am. How come u r now giving me dis 6am story... Whatever the situation is, this is just to give someone an handy info, lest you get disappointed when you get there.

I had similar experience, last week Wednesday to be precise .I got there around 9am, for my mind I was happy that I arrived just in time despite the terrible hold up on d third mainland bridge, only to be told that list for Canada was filled for d day. The crowd sef dat day was discouraging. Thankfully, I stay in lagos and Thursday wasn't a public holiday. We left immediately to prepare for d next day. Got there few minutes to 8am and was number 23 on the list. Ironically, some people who came around past 9am were still attended to cos the list was still less than 40.
I guess some days just have more people than others. But I think on their part, they should at least give one the heads up that they have a maximum number of people they can attend to per day hence it's advisable to come as early as possible.

Uw! That's good! Thank God the result is normal. From your history, the fact that u cycle is regular and u usually have d signs of ovulation, I doubt u have any issues with ovulating but notwithstanding, have u done any hormonal profile test and/or Day 21 Progesterone test? If all the above are normal, then ur hubby should go for SFA test if he hasn't done so. In d meantime u can get supplement that contains folic acid, zinc, Vit Bco, Vit E and omega3 which are known to boosts fertility

Please just relax your mind. The fact that u didn't see all dos signs doesn't necessarily mean u didn't ovulate but from shared experience, it is preferred to not ttc during d cycle HSG was done but from d next cycle. Nevertheless, I'm sure ur system would readjust in d next cycle. Also be aware that stress e.g emotional stress can also disrupt once cycle. So, just relax.

U only need your mbbs certificate for source verification to get an ECA report. A notarised copy of the certificate along with ur international passport and certified identity form printed from your account should be sent via courier to mcc. Please read the page 0 of this thread to have a better understanding of the process.

Ok. But I'm surprised it's still at that stage since its almost a month it was recieved. It should have been at least sent to ECFMG by now if not even verified. I really don't know what could be causing d delay. Maybe their workload has increased. I guess u just have to keep calling and hopefully they comply.

It's been showing 'Pending verification' and has been so since the 10th of May.

I chat them every week to ask for my status. They politely tell me it hasn't been verified yet. I was hoping that it has been sent to ECFMG.

So from what you are saying, they haven't even sent to ECFMG. And I was having high hopes that I would get the ECA soon.

I think u are not getting it. Document status is different from verification status. It will continue to show pending verification till its verified. Check out a screen shot of document history and status panel
