Family › Re: Why Do People Eat During Burial? by fav444(f): 1:21pm On Jul 24, 2016 |
my dear op, the burden in my heart about this issue can write a full book of a thousand pages. I lost my dad and uncle last year, and I can categorically explain this issue to u. The greed of people during burials is alarming, even the church is not helping matters. As soon as u tell them about a member's death, the next thing u will hear is "U can come later so that we will Check the register for u". Checking register means to calculate the amount of money the dead person is owning and must be cleared and to tell u what u will serve each group at the burial. This clearance must be done by all the members of the deceased family, failure to do this they will threaten not to bury the person. Do you know in my place they threaten people with "if you don't do this if you die the church won't come and bury u o ". Just imagine!!!
When people die u will hear the family say we use several tens of thousands for clearance. it's not as if this dead people are strangers, they were their members o in fact of a good financial stand in terms of their dues and levies. But wat I can't understand is where all these new dues and levies jump out from as soon as one dies.
Sometimes, I wonder how judgement day will look like if those who claim to be devoted children of God behave this way. As for me when my life on earth ends, am not interested in any greedy church burial. I prefer the money used to help the poor who are still alive.
I only pray to make heaven so that from my room's window in heaven I will watch how judgement will be like cos with the level of evil and deception in this world judgement day will sure be very interesting. |

Food › Re: Can You Eat This Dried Tomatoes? by fav444(f): 1:14pm On May 30, 2016 |
nurez305: I'm talking about now that tomatoes are gold and very expensive. Since the fresh tomatoes is what most people prefered, my question
1. Why did they dry it and not sell it to make more profit
2. Where are they getting the tomatoes they dry despite that fresh tomatoes are very scarce
3. Drying is another process for it to cost higher than the fresh tomatoes..why after drying it, it become cheaper than the fresh tomatoes that doesn't go for any processes before selling it
If you can answer those question, then I will start buying the dried tomatoes
Thank you u no do agric science for secondary school? the sole reason of drying fresh tomatoes is to preserve it. Now, Why do people preserve food? u preserve food when it is it's abundant season so that there can be some of it available when its season of abundance is gone. Just imagine wat people are saying about a seasonal food preserved naturally, but they will happily buy oyibo processed food with artificial and sometimes dangerous preservatives. and for those saying they prefer tomato paste, for ur mind u think say na tomatoes u de chop abi. Weldon, but google tomato paste composition first. u will find out dt u have been eating coloured starch paste all these while. #bewise |
