Travel / Re: Arik Air Please Refund My Money, Its Over 40 Days Now! by favored4real: 12:31pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
Actually, Arik Air is a total disappointment to herself and Nigerians!! I am having a refund issue with them right now! My flight to Owerri from Abuja was cancelled by Arik due to "operational reasons" in a rather unpalatable manner. My ticket number and booking reference are 725 21089 75326 and IDQSWN respectively. I made a refund request at the Arik Air counter at the airport on December 6, 2016 and was told that I will get a refund in 21 days. Up to this moment I have not heard from Arik Air. I have sent several emails to Arik Air concerning the refund and there is no response from them whatsoever. How can airline that really wants to succeed in the industry be so callous and unprofessional? I really need the refund of my payment of N48,799 for the round trip ticket. I used my ATM card to make the payment and the cash left my account immediately. It is, therefore, incomprehensible to me why the refund should take so long. What is more annoying is the lack of response from the Arik Air on the matter. I have written to them severally (to their many emails) and even copied CPC and I am still waiting. How can an airline that claims it has no aviation fuel be allowed to book clients for flights, cancel the flights in a disrespectful manner at the last minute, and still be allowed to do business with passengers' funds for months before making refunds? Can you imagine how many passengers that gave up pursuing their refunds and what may have happened to their money? If they are counting on me giving up then they need to think again! |

ayenny02: I assume that you really want to learn about this thing and that is why I will bother to offer the following explanations: John 7:19 - Did not Moses give you the law , and yet none of you keepeth the law ? Why go ye about to kill me? POINT 1: Here, Jesus was addressing the Jews. None of them kept the law NOT even the Pharisees with their diluted version of the law. Matthew 5:17 -Think not that I am come to destroy the law , or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. POINT 2: Jesus clearly stated in the above passage that He came to fulfill the law. CONCLUSION: The law came 430 years after God had made a covenant with Abraham - Galatians 3:17. This covenant was purely based on the grace of God. Abraham did not have to perform for God to bless him. This covenant operated in the lives of the children of Israel until the left Egypt and that was why even with their complaints and murmurings in the wilderness, God had mercy upon them. However, once the law came into operation through Moses, the Israelites were required to perform in order to receive God's blessings. I dare to mention here that it was their arrogance that brought about the law (Exodus 19: verse eight). Their disobedience also brought harsh consequences upon their lives. It was a law of sin and death. If you offended in one, you became guilty of all of them. The law condemned all that were under it. Then, entered the purposes of God for His Son, Jesus Christ. he was the only one that could fulfill the demands of the law. I don't know why it is difficult for anyone to understand. JESUS HIMSELF SAID THAT HE CAME TO FULFILL THE LAW. And I want to announce to you that He did that. He died the death of the cross. He died to redeem all of us from the demands of the law. He rose again that we may be justified before God. So, anyone that will appropriate this sacrifice of Jesus, believe Him and confess Him as Lord and Savior will be saved from their sins as well. Finally, what is all this talk about 'commandments'? What are the commandments of Jesus? He gave us a new commandment, NOT the law. He said in John 3:34 - 35: "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." However, there is really no argument here! If you want to leave under the law with the old commandments, please feel free BUT remember that you are NOT permitted to fail in even one - James 2:10. I prefer to leave in the grace of all that Jesus Christ has accomplished for me. I prefer this grace dispensation that is based on better promises - Hebrews 8:6. The choice is yours. Bidam: You are certainly free to argue if you feel called to do so. But you used the wrong scripture to backup your position. 2 Corinthians 10:5 is for our personal benefit as we pull down, overthrow and destroy strongholds in our mind that are working against the knowledge we have of God. These strongholds are thoughts, imaginations, arguments, theories, and reasonings in our mind that are contrary to our knowledge of God (from His Word and experientially). The aim is to bring out thoughts back to the real knowledge of God that we may obey Christ. Having said that, I want to tell you that what causes a man to repent is not our arguments over meanings and relevance of scriptures. Actually the Bible tells us in Titus 3:9 "But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless (NIV)." So, why do you choose to engage in what the Bible calls "unprofitable and useless". The only thing that causes a man to repent is a revelation of the love of God - Romans 2:4b. It is the goodness of God that makes a man to repent. Share the LOVE of God and leave everyone to the Holy Spirit for the rest of the job. Thank you. |

THE ANSWER Permit me to respond to an issue that I read about in this forum. Psalm 2:7 was not referring to David. It was a prophetic psalm about the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and some of the battles he would encounter. Some of the comments I have seen here border on lack of understanding of the rules for Bible interpretation. Most old testaments events were only shadows of things that would be fulfilled in the new testament. If you understand that, you will not see any contradictions between what Apostle Paul wrote and what Jesus preached. Jesus came to fulfill the law and there is nothing wrong with those laws. So, if Jesus has fulfilled the law, why are we bothered about the law? The law is fulfilled and finished with so we look unto Him that fulfilled the law. So, He says, "It is finished". We are no longer under the law (Rom. 6:14) because it has been fulfilled. We live under this GRACE that came to fulfill a law that no one before Him could fulfill. So, He becomes our standard. Now, as for Jesus Christ: Yes, the Bible refers to Him as the only begotten Son of God. He became the first born that through Him God would have MANY other sons. Todays's English Version (TEV) says in Hebrews 2:10-11: "10 It was only right that God, who creates and preserves all things, should make Jesus perfect through suffering, in order to bring many sons to share his glory. For Jesus is the one who leads them to salvation. 11 He purifies people from their sins, and both he and those who are made pure all have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers." Therefore, let us not argue about things we do not really understand. The Bible says that those who are not spiritual cannot understand spiritual things - 1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
