So, that he does it doesn't mean it's right.
I don't vote in Ogun.

You have been crying against Yayi. I will say it again, if Yayi is non-performing like he was when he was in Lagos, that's a valid reason to throw him out but the excuse of he has been in Lagos and all that, doesn't hold water. Many of our leaders in the last two decades had their roots either in politics, business or the likes from Lagos.

Simple and Short! Let Yayi be, if the leader of the party intends to handpick him, like he has done in Osun and he will still do in some other States, that's all or others can defect and do the needful.
To backup your point

Aregbesola came to Osun from Lagos
Babajide Omoworare came to Osun from Lagos

Helinues, I'm just buttressing fergie001 point, I'm not going against you

Why do Africans especially Nigerians hate their country and says negative things about their Mother land.
Why do Africans support overseas football clubs and cannot remember clubs in their community
Why do black Africans women wear white women hair to feel like a human
Why do Africans sell everything and travel overseas to do a job they will not do at home
Why will Africans change the way they speak when in overseas to feel human

TravelRe: Has Japa Finally Come To An End? by fbabs(m): 4:44pm On Dec 12, 2025
infogenius:
No, this is not the end of japa; it’s the end of the “blind japa” era.

What we are seeing in the US, Canada, UK, and Europe is not “anti-immigrant”; it’s anti-mass-uncontrolled-low-skilled-migration.

Countries are simply returning to the same rules they always had before COVID and post-Ukraine labour shortages made them open the gates too wide.

The new reality (2025–2030):
1 High-skilled routes are still very open
◦ Canada Express Entry points just got higher, but doctors, nurses, engineers, IT, data scientists are still getting PR in months.
◦ UK Skilled Worker visa salary threshold jumped to £38,700, but healthcare, tech, and teaching shortage occupations are still fast-tracked.
◦ Germany Opportunity Card, Australia points test, Netherlands 30% ruling — all still welcoming skilled people.

2 Student route is tighter but not closed
◦ UK banned dependants for Masters (except research courses), but the Graduate Route (2–3 years work visa) is still there.
◦ Canada capped study permits, but top universities and STEM programmes are barely affected.
◦ Ireland, Malta, Portugal, Sweden still allow dependants.

3 Low-skilled and irregular routes are dying fast
◦ Caregiver, farm worker, truck driver PR pathways in Canada are closing or heavily restricted.
◦ UK stopped most low-wage work visas.
◦ Europe is deporting faster than before.

So for the average Nigerian with BSc + 3–5 years experience in tech, nursing, engineering, accounting, pharmacy — japa is harder, but still very possible with proper planning and credentials.

For the person with OND, no skill, planning to enter through “student visa → caregiver job → PR” — that road is almost completely blocked now.

Bottom line:

Japa never finish.
Na the “anyhow japa” don die.

If u get solid skill, IELTS 7.5+, verifiable experience, and clean money for proof of funds — countries still dey call u with two hands.

If not, e go hard well well.

The wave just changed direction, it’s now from quantity to quality.

Upgrade or stay home.

Simple. 💯

over 24 hours ago GOD save me from Armed men who blocked the road during the day shooting people without care to life despite lot of check point by security forces. I observe that majority of the check point have no communication with each other and no central command for those security forces. Nigeria roads are worse than what it was in the 2000s. imagine over 25years Abuja, lokoja , Ajaoukuta road still under construction. Time for change have began because we cannot continue this way. The security forces deserve huge salary and the expansion of National call centre which is 112 to combat this crime.
I thank ALMIGHTY GOD for you sir

My Heart is heavy as Nigerians share their stories with me and the following happened over the last 7days
2 year old Child kidnaped from a school in Abuja and killed after collecting ransom
Children killed and houses burnt down in Central Nigeria
loving Husband killed in Southern Nigeria after collecting ransom
Nigerians made to handle skull of kidnapped victims to forced ransom payment and will stop here because the remaining stories are horrible
Nigeria security forces , Nigerians are suffering and if nothing is done, Bandits might invade a school or a major town which will result in heavy loss of lives. May the souls of Nigerians who have died in the hands of these criminals rest in peace.
You warned them but they didn't listen

What has Nigeria failed to do that has delayed our development.
In addition to the reasons on what Nigeria failed to do that has delayed our development is

Failure to reduce the japa wave

Yes

Our best minds, the doctors, nurses, engineers, lecturers, tech experts etc are leaving.

This weakens critical sectors like:

Healthcare

Education

Technology

Engineering

Finance

When the people who should build the country leave, development slows down

This is why our government need to make Nigeria "more lucrative" particularly to the youths and also encourage Naija intellectuals who are outside the country to contribute positively to the nation like Mr Eejo is doing even from the diaspora
PoliticsRe: 100k Christmas Gift For The Best Answer To This Question by fbabs(m): 1:03pm On Nov 25, 2025
eejo:
What has Nigeria failed to do that has delayed our development.
1) Nigeria has failed to develop Infrastructure like roads, railways, and power supply

2) Nigeria has failed to develop her education system as evident in poor quality of basic and tertiary education.

Also the skills gap in critical sectors like technology, engineering, and healthcare is another weakness of Nigeria education system resulting in high youth unemployment due to mismatch between education and job market making most youths or let me say graduates do POS, yahoo and private school teachers.

3) Nigeria has failed to develop in industrialization and Agricultural mechanization

Low local production of goods; heavy import dependence.

Agriculture not fully modernized, leaving many in rural poverty.

4) Nigeria has failed to develop her healthcare

Health challenges like poor maternal and child health affect productivity.

5) Nigeria has failed to develop long-term planning

Short political terms focus on immediate gains rather than sustained development.
Our leaders rate second term ambition above long-term plans.

6) Nigeria has failed to develop because of poor budget Implementation.
Budgets often live mostly on paper

7) Nigeria has failed to develop because of failure of Inclusive growth

Benefits have largely failed to reach the majority of the population. This has led to persistently high levels of poverty, unemployment, and inequality which causes social tension and instability

cool Nigeria has failed to develop by not controlling and curbing bribery and corruption. The bribery and corruption is so widespread that it spread across all levels of government and even private organisations

9) Nigeria has failed to develop because of lack of accountability and transparency
public officials are not held accountable for mismanagement, poor performance, and corruption which has led to a culture of impunity

10) Nigeria has failed to develop because of over-reliance on oil which we were taught in secondary school as monoculture economy

Nigeria has failed to sufficiently diversify its economy away from crude oil, making the entire nation vulnerable to global oil price fluctuations

Development plans are often abandoned when governments change.

Though Nigeria always have plans and resources but Nigeria leaders and we, the masses, failed in consistent leadership, policy execution, and institution-building.

Very simple.... Then Gov Oyetola lost the election and hurriedly conducted LG election in contravention of the laws. When Gov Adeleke assumed office, he disbanded them following two different Court orders from the Federal High Court in Osogbo nullifying the election.

APC challenged both in the Appeal Court. Due to their own nonchalant attitude, they didn't follow up the case, so the Appeal Court dismissed their Appeal in one of the suits.

They followed up on the other, the Court held that the the plaintiff should not have filed the suit because there was no court of action. What this means is that, in the suit filed by the PDP, it was filed prematurely but the Appeal Court refused to grant the prayers of the APC in restoring the sacker LG Chairmen because the Court held that it had been overtaken by events since a new LG election has been held.

So be the Judge of both.... Now the issue is academic, their tenures without conceding that they are correct became officially over since Oct 15. What the FG is doing is what OBJ did to Lagos. Surprisingly, the man who led the legal team for Lagos is the man responsible today for the FG stifling Osun Govt of their funds but he won't be there forever, maybe he will need some real life lessons from Malami or Adoke.
The allocation has been paid to the bank account of APC yes or no chairmen

eejo:
Thanks to all those who asked about me. Am fine and busy working on my dream for a great Nigeria. My tears came down watching the level of suffering Nigeria have been subjected to. Hospitals are expensive with no resources, massive unemployment and food unaffordable for the common Man. Security forces are trying their best but not enough resources to combat crime. My words NIGERIANS ARE IN ECONOMIC HELL and something must be done urgently to save lives. I have started my fight for Nigerians and below is my letter to the political class which have been submitted to their offices and will use all my power to see Nigerians enjoy free Healthcare, Education and massive employment for our Youths.

The President
Federal Republic of Nigeria.

NATIONAL EMERGENCY SERVICES AND FREE EDUCATION FOR ALL NIGERIANS
Nigerians have over a long period of time have experience unspeakable things during incidents and this have to change. 80 percent of the country have no emergency response such as Ambulances, Fire service and many Families are struggling to pay educational fess for their children. My proposal to solve this problem is stated below
1, 10 percent Tax on all salaries paid in Nigeria to fund Healthcare and Education
2, Diaspora passport renewal should have a Tax fee for our development
3, All foreign Workers should pay Insurance Tax for our Healthcare and Education
4, 4 percent of all profit before Tax for Organisation in Nigeria paid as Insurance Tax
Insurance Tax from the above sources will generate the fund to run free Healthcare and Education for all Nigerians. In addition, this will generate over 20 million Jobs for our youths and reduce poverty.
The funding will be used to upgrade our 774 Hospitals in local government to international standard, 100,000 Ambulances from Innosons motors, 36 Air ambulance Helicopters, 100,000 fire trucks and this can be achieved within five years of investment.
This project when implemented will change lives and position Nigeria as a superpower in the World.
