Milner played very well especially in the last match. One can easily say that he was the best player for England on the pitch.

@Dayok, I was expecting more ranting and yabbis of the english team from you. grin tongue grin

Serena Williams will face sister Venus in Saturday's Wimbledon final after prevailing in a marathon tussle with Russian Elena Dementieva.
Second seed Serena saved a match point before coming through 6-7 (4-7) 7-5 8-6 in two hours and 48 minutes.

The match was the longest women's semi-final in recent Wimbledon history.

Venus's encounter with top seed Dinara Safina was in complete contrast, the defending champion completing an embarrassingly one-sided 6-1 6-0 win.

I would prefer either of the non-american ladies winning the ladies title; wouldn't mind Venus but by God, somebody should pls knock Serena out - can't even stand the thot of her winning it!

Roddick vs Hewitt - one set apiece; pretty good game. . . . . . both guys are having a right, good go at it - big serves everywhere!

Packed arena but not quite the same buzzing Roland Garros atmosphere - wonder why huh
did you place a bet? cheesy

Forward Benzema joins Real Madrid from Lyon

France striker Karim Benzema has joined Real Madrid from Olympique Lyon, the Ligue 1 club said on their website on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old Benzema becomes Real's third major signing after Brazil's Kaka and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Lyon have accepted a minimum 35m euro bid for the player.

@Ibime, looks like your theory is rubbish.
Manchester United have completed the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Spanish giants Real Madrid for a world record transfer fee of £80m.
Cristiano Ronaldo: Already a hit in Spain
A statement from United confirmed the Premier League club have received the phenomenal one-off fee from the Primera Liga club and the deal is now official.

Zhirkov is a beast on the left side. he runs right down at defenders.
At CSKA fans lick his boots. After Wagner comes Yuri.
Two questions:can he overtake Florence? Would he adapt to the EPL?
Plus he was quoted as saying that
-he wants to play for Barca
-He doesn't want to sit on the bench. (who would want that? grin)

Eto shouldnt sign a new contract. He should simply see out the last year and leave on a bosman. Barca have been very ungrateful trying to sell him off to buy villa.
Several clubs would be happy to sign him.
You are spot on on this. For me he is one of their 4 best players. Consistent season after season.
But he is doing fine by keeping a cool head, rising above the situation.
