There is no contradiction - the article is FALSE - no Arsenal insider said we would sell Cesc for £40m, because, as it stands there is NO PRICE for selling Cesc at the moment - he is simply NOT FOR SALE. Now if an OFFER is made, we might consider it and Cesc could in theory be sold.

Can he be sold for £40m? Yes it's possible, just like it's possible (even if unlikely) that Emirates stadium will be moved to Blackburn for their games next season. grin
Look, while some of these articles are indeed FALSE, I would indulge you to pay a closer attention to them. Never say never.
Well, we shall see if Cesc remains at the Emirati (that is if you dont move to Ewood Park cheesy).

It's not ruled out, but HIGHLY unlikely - Why would Barca buy Cesc right now? Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets are all there. . .

Real would make some sense, but then again, too complicated.

This is tabloid guff and nothing more - Henry left as Captain, but astute observers knew he was gone when he was 'injured' from March till May but no one knew what the injury was. Note Henry had already been captain for TWO seasons before leaving.

While nothing is impossible, this comment about arsenal being willing to sell for £40m is nothing but a lie.
Pardon my probing but are you not contradicting yourself?
If it is not ruled out then it is not a lie or do you mean the price is wrong or that he WILL NOT be sold?
If you maintain that there is a "possibility" then he CAN be sold even at 40 mil.

@ FBS

Arsene will not sell Cesc this season. If he does, he will certainly get more than £40m. If Ade was not sold for £25m last season, why sell Cesc when he's JUST been made Captain? It won't happen.

People will soon speculate that we will sell the Emirates to Chelski if they sell Cashley to Leyton Orient. grin grin grin
@Debosky,a good joke that one.  grin
But on a serious note. That Cesc is captain don't mean he cannot be sold. Was Titi not your captain before he left for BArca?
Did SAF not say over his dead body and would not even sell a virus to RM? Tell me, where is CR7 today?

Not that I care if he is sold or not, but DON'T ever rule such a scenario out.

Not that Brazil cannot play that style (infact they still do, especially when 3 or 4 goals up cheesy) but look at what happened. Egypt hit right back. Now had Pharaoh's children won, would you say they are better than Brazil?

The name of the game is scoring goals (no disputes about that) but that you do not score as a team don't make you the worst team (e.g Arsenal).

We'll sell Cesc , for £40m

ARSENAL have slapped a Ј40million price-tag on Cesc Fabregas as they brace themselves for a bid from Real Madrid or Barcelona.

A Gunners insider said: "Nobody at Arsenal wants to see Fabregas go but there comes a point when the money is too good to turn down.

"If Arsenal receive a bid in the region of Ј40m there will be an enormous pressure to sell."

The Chileans were rough IMHO just like the touts from Argentina (Whats up with Diego Buonanotte?).
And yes, they counter attacked very well but overall they were lost in the game. One single chance fell to Martinez and that was all that was needed.
France on the other hand played like their senior brothers. All fancy with no result.

Frankly, I don't know of any English supporters on this thread. I know of those who support English football teams. Can we agree that these two are different?

And if I may ask, why the hate or dislike for England? If it is what I think then, Germany is no better.
