IslamRe: Please Where Can I Sew Hijab In Lagos? by Feanah(op): 4:29am On Jun 05, 2016
Atiyah:
Wa salamu alaykum.
Any tailor can actually do that for u if u ve ur material and hijab sample. Do you ve your materials or u want 2 buy and sew.
Prices differ depending on type of material to be use and size of hijab. Hope this is of help. I'm into it but dont stay in lagos.
Materials are sold in bulk in tinubu, yaba and oshodi. But if u dont want 2 go that far, specify ur area, i might b able 2 direct 2 some pple.
Jazakillahu khairan sister . No I'm going to buy the material ... I guess Tinubu is around Idumota, right?

IslamRamadan Donation by Feanah(op): 11:20pm On May 26, 2016
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh my brothers and sisters
I'm sure with nature of the country's current economy, almost all of us are in a tighter financial situation than we used to be (Alhamdulillah).
Ramadan is fast approaching,I know things are hard, but I want us to please, remember some of our brothers and sisters.I know no matter how things get bad for most of us here,we'll still have something to put in our mouth and some clothes to wear when eid comes....while on the other hand, some of our brothers and sisters who have less, will wake up someday with very little or even nothing to eat for iftar,& nothing to wear but old, faded clothes on eid day.I'd like us to start a project on feeding and clothing our brothers & sisters this Ramadan, especially those in Borno and nearby places that have been affected badly by the attacks.
If there's already an ongoing project like this, please let us know,if not, let's get a whatsapp group and discuss how can do it....Jazakumullahu khairan

FamilyParental Verbal Abuse by Feanah(op): 3:33pm On May 17, 2016
I wonder why a lot of parents especially mothers in Nigeria are verbally and emotionally abusive. It's very degrading and destroys your child's self esteem especially when the child is around 7-early 20s.You'll be calling your child mumu, until he believes you and becomes a real mumu. And later when the child becomes withdrawn from you because he/she is tired, you feel he/she doesn't love them. undecided It really perplexes me.

I think parents should really think twice about what they say to their child, because it can affect them sooner or later in life.

CareerRe: Medical Doctors' Forum: Let Us Know You! by Feanah(f): 4:24am On May 16, 2016
I'm a semifinalist medical student(almost a final year student, writing my exams),but I have almost lost all interest in being a doctor.I'll like to ask a few questions -
1.how lucrative is MBA for doctors and can I get to work with hospital administration;if yes,how good is the pay?
2.Is it easy getting a job from other sectors eg banking?
3.I'll have to write the MDCN exam, can I do it after my postgraduate study or there's a time limit for it?
4.If by any chance,I want to go back to practising, how easy will it be?will I've to write the exam again or follow some hard protocols?
5.I'll also like some school recommendations (very good schools) for the MBA (The cheaper, the better),Do I need some work experience like internship/something?
Please I'll also like some lucrative courses recommendations that are not clinical apart from the MBA
Thank you very much

FoodHow Do You Make Your Food Tasty? by Feanah(op): 2:18pm On May 02, 2016
So I've a problem , attimes I don't like the taste of the food I cook or it doesn't look as
Presentable as I'll likeit to. I try to put everything proportionally from salt, maggi to pepper etc but still like 3 out of 10 times it won't taste nice, especially rice!! (jollof, fried etc).I've been cooking for like 8yrs now so it's definitely not about me being new. sad I try to do everything the way I see my mother and other good cooks do,but I don't get so lucky. So,what do you people do when the food does not taste or look like you want it to?Is there any cooking secret I should know or something very helpful (spice, methods) etc.Might be getting married in a year or 2,don't want to go to my husband's house cooking rubbish,so please help me as much as you can....thank you smiley
