OP neither of these courses is something you should go into without being very passionate about it (esp medicine).I'm a semifinalist medical student,take it from me,even if you get to manage well in the beginning,when you reach the clinical stage and start going to the hospital , it can be very very depressing.And,that's something that will go on for the rest of your life.Infact, a lot of us are contemplating leaving the practice after NYSC if we can't cope.
So think carefully and deeply, will it make you happy?If not,there are so many courses you can study and get rich.

So some of you will expect to be blessed after taking someone's hard-earned money,while that person cries in pain,right?It never happens that way,and even if you do enjoy in this life,God is just waiting to deal with you in the next.
Never take what's not yours,because eventually you'll just end up suffering in this life or the next.God forgives and we take that for granted,but please don't expect him to forgive you for the pains you made others go through.
God bless the man,I'm sure he'll get a bigger reward

A classmate of mine started a challenge which is very interesting and I believe,reforming.So I decided to share it with you.
It's a bit long but this is how much I can summarize it,and it's definitely worth reading and trying out insha Allah. Here are the details -

‘Khushu’ is an Arabic word used to refer to humility or humbleness while offering our daily salah (prayers).
I believe most of us are disappointed in ourselves after noticing how empty and soulless our salah is even during the month of ramadhan when you have no devil to blame. However it's never too late to make a change.
We can never get a better opportunity to work on our khushu' than the month of ramadhan. So before this blessed month ends here's a 3 days challenge for whoever is interested. Titled OPERATION KHUSHU' IN SALAH

So from 27th to 29th of ramadhan judge your Salah by yourself. imagine if it was an exam how much will you score, will your salah get an A, P or maybe an F?
What to do:
1)Be your own judge and score yourself marks by the end of each day (10 marks per salah, 50 marks per day)

2)Monitor your wudhu and how much attention you pay to it

3)Analyze your khusu' in salah

4)Get your planner or a sheet of paper and write the Salahs you are to perform from today till the end of 29th of ramadhan

Remember each salah is a meeting with your Lord and while you can't see Him He sure can see you. Imagine yourself standing in front of Allah and thinking about which cloth to wear or what to cook today. He gave us all that we have but we can't spare few minutes attentively for Him or rather for ourselves because we are the ones in need of reward while He is free of needs.
The point behind this is to help us all improve the quality of our prayer by paying attention to every detail so we can figure out where the problem lies and work towards solving it.
Also I pray and hope that by the time ramadhan ends, we are familiar with the distractions within ourselves and we know how to avoid them so that we focus on fighting the real enemy the devil.

Hopefully by the end of each day you'd have identified a problem and made intentions not to make the same mistake the next day, please feel free to share whatever tip or advice you feel will be beneficial.

Hello there,

It is natural for you to be scared of dogs, considering the fact that u didn't grow up living with one. But there are ways to get pass your fears.

1. Put it at the back of your mind that dogs are naturally human friendly as long as they don't see u as a threat to them. You can start by making friends with someone that owns a pet breed such as lhasa apso, pug, etc.

2. Dogs love treats just like the NPF loves bribe. you can always buy a dog's loyalty by being his friend, giving him food and all. Only then can u understand the dog.

3. Learn to commune with dogs. Build a chemistry with them, draw a connect between ur mind and theirs. Do u know dogs speak, but to only those who know how to listen. Dogs are the only creatures on earth who will never betray you. If u feed humans, clothe them and provide them with shelter, that doesn't mean they can't betray you (ask Jesus), but a dog never betrays his master.

4. And lastly, if you meet a dog for the first time, the worst it will do is give u a scratch or a little bite, it doesn't usually get past that, after which u become friends (tho there are some crazy breeds u can't try it with o), so u need to develop courage and make friends with a lot of dogs as possible.

I wish u best of luck. Put ur fears behind you and kill ur phobia for dogs. It's always a wonderful experience around dogs.

My question is what do you use in parboiling your rice for it to come out singly - hot or cold water i.e. Do you let your water to boil before putting the rice or you just put it on fire with the cold water. some believe using cold water makes it soggy, how true is it?
