Trump Could Be Investigated for Tax Fraud, D.A. Says for First Time https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/21/nyregion/donald-trump-taxes-cyrus-vance.html The Manhattan district attorney’s office, which has been locked in a yearlong legal battle with President Trump over obtaining his tax returns, suggested for the first time on Monday that it had grounds to investigate him and his businesses for tax fraud. The assertion by the office of the district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance Jr., offered rare insight into the office’s investigation into the president and his business dealings, which began more than two years ago. Mr. Vance, a Democrat, has never revealed the scope of his office’s criminal inquiry, citing grand jury secrecy. The investigation has been stalled by the fight over a subpoena that the office issued in August 2019 for eight years of the president’s tax returns. Lawyers for Mr. Trump have said the subpoena should be blocked, calling it “wildly overbroad” and politically motivated. Mr. Vance responded to that argument in a new filing that did not directly accuse Mr. Trump or any of his businesses or associates of wrongdoing. However, prosecutors listed news reports and public testimony that alleged misconduct by Mr. Trump and his businesses. The reports, prosecutors wrote, would justify a grand jury inquiry into a range of possible crimes, including tax and insurance fraud and falsification of business records. It was the first time the office had included tax fraud among the possible areas of investigation. “Even if the grand jury were testing the truth of public allegations alone, such reports, taken together, fully justify the scope of the grand jury subpoena at issue in this case,” prosecutors wrote. Jay Sekulow, a lawyer for Mr. Trump, declined to comment on the district attorney’s filing. |

Obaseki should care more about providing governance to Edo, and care less about political parties APC=PDP, PDP=APC |
APC is failing gradually....most of the the APC governors are just there because of PMB |
OjoMadiba:Trump in his own words and attitude in not taking full responsibility as the President of the U.S. which has resulted in thousands of deaths, compared to other countries, even Nigeria and African countries have been more proactive in ensuring minimal deaths https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNpr7_iRHa8 |

‘It’s a big, big swing’: Trump loses ground with white voters https://www.politico.com/news/2020/09/21/trump-white-voters-support-418420 Donald Trump is making modest inroads with Latinos. Polls suggest he’s pulling slightly more Black support than in 2016. But Trump is tilting at the margins with those groups. His bigger problem is the demographic that sent him to the White House — white voters, whose embrace of Trump appears to be slipping in critical, predominantly white swing states. In Minnesota, where the contest between Trump and Joe Biden had seemed to tighten in recent weeks — and where both candidates stumped on Friday — a CBS News/YouGov survey last week had Trump running 2 percentage points behind Biden with white voters, after carrying them by 7 points in 2016. Even among white voters without college degrees — Trump’s base — the president was far short of the margin he put up against Hillary Clinton there. It’s the same story in Wisconsin, where Trump won non-college educated white women by 16 percentage points four years ago but is now losing them by 9 percentage points, according to an ABC News/Washington Post poll. In Pennsylvania, Biden has now pulled even with Trump among white voters, according to an NBC News/Marist Poll. |

That will be a very tall order to capture Lagos, where PDP infrastructure is very weak at the moment ---but between now and 2023 anything can happen What happen in Edo state, is purely about personal relationship between Obaseki and Oshiomole, nothing about governance |

SonofLincoln:This is what Trump have turned the U.S. elections to. He complained about frauds to mail-in voting with legal issues in courts, he was against early voting in some states because his base will be disenfransihed according to him. Now his supporters are intimidating voters lining up to vote. |

salford1:So much confusion and incoherent inconsistency from.Trump. Not the first time Trump will contradict his own appointees. Apparently according to a grapevine source, Trump's WH is looking for new shortlists for the Director of the FBI, after Christopher Wray's statements about ANTIFA, Russia and China which Trump is not happy with. |
