gidgiddy:Nwanne, don't mind these soulless primates. They are all fulani agents(not necessarily of fulani origin) tasked with smear campaign against IPOB which is what they devote all their time to. We don't see them in threads where fulanis attack Igbo villagers in boundary areas but they're always present to accuse IPOB on every thread for any killings in the SE. You can see how he attacked you here yet left the thread without saying anything about the Edo attack itself. This shows you their main purpose for being online. We must continue to expose them for all to see and learn. A cold war is ongoing which many people don't realise yet. What majority don't understand is that the fulanis are using an old war strategy of plundering your enemies prior to the actual invasion. The consistent plunder will leave the intended targets poor, weak and vulnerable. Today, almost the whole middle belt is poor, weak and vulnerable from incessant attack. They've decided to push further south. I won't reveal much anymore but we all can remember the sealed borders in the SW while the ones in the north was left opened. All the willful destruction of farms and farm produce were all intentional. We must continue to expose them while preparing ourselves for the inevitable. It is indeed inevitable and they will lose. |
Some how, a thread about fulani terrorist militia attacking and kidnapping passengers in Edo train station has changed into an IPOB bashing thread. We are all watching how agents of the terrorist Nigerian government come online to pin every terroristic attack in the SE on IPOB but we don't see them say anything about similar attacks else where. Let those with sense decipher what is going on. As for this attack on Edo state, I commiserate with Edo people and remind them to sit up in the defense of their land. I urge them not to forget what the late Obadiah Mailafia said about the fulanis before he was silenced. The time is s drawing near already. You guys must close ranks together and watch over your land. The price for peace is eternal vigilance. |
Captain8:Next time don't ever quote me again because your dumbness is very chronic which I wouldn't want to be infected. The map says 2014 but our discussion is based on events that happened in the 1960s. Gerarahia mehn. |
Captain8:I'm still waiting for the map Adaka Boro presented as his proposed Niger Delta country. If you can't produce it, it simply means Boro just led an insurrection. I urge you guys to continue with your Boro worship and we all shall see where it leads you. We tanda dey look you guys while making international money and building our homeland. We're setting up satellite communities all over the world to increase our export base and pull more resources and investors to AlaIgbo. We don't have time for hate and frivolities. Like we say in Igbo; agbasia oso, agua mile. Happy Adaka Boro's day in advance. |
Captain8:I'm not in competition with you over ethnic hero worship neither are Ndigbo in competition with Ijaws over who was right or wrong. Let current realities speak for itself. Like I asked others before you to do, kindly present us with Adaka Boro's map for his intended Niger Delta republic. If he had no map, how then did he intend to go about it? He did not organize any protest nor did he make any demands for referendum. Ijaws weren't under any physical/violent threat to have warranted him arming up and attacking the police. All facts pointed to the fact that he was instigated by third parties which his brother later confirmed to have come from the north. Eventually they've achieved their aim of dividing the Eastern region and today they're feeding fat from our resources. If I'm to agree with you, let the division among us continue so they can continue to benefit leaving your lands polluted. As you continue seething with anger over us, your fulani friends continue to suck your land and develop theirs. My consolation remains that no bastard will look at anything in Igboland today and credit it to you oil. Over 95% of what we have in Igboland today January of 2023 was by the hardwork of our people. Ensure to tell your children so. As for Adaka Boro's day, I suggest you guys immortalise him by naming a huge institution after him. Boro's day is very small as it isn't popular enough. I further suggest you guys make the day bigger making a gigantic sculpture of him and put it at a strategic place in Yenagoa. That way, you guys will always remember to hate Ndigbo forever just by seeing his image. We shall see how it helps Ijawland in the long run. Finally, I'll overlook your insults for now. Learn to keep your emotions in check when relating with me. I can be quite brutal. |
AdakaBoro8:It was not Ojukwu that tried him. There was a court where he was tried firstly at the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt and thereafter, at the Supreme court in Lagos. You can research about it yourself. Boro's insurrection was against the Federal government hence it was the federal government that treated his matter. |
T9ksy:As at Boro's time, Aguiyi Ironsi was the undisputed Head of State and he controlled the government by virtue of his position as the GOC of the Nigerian army. After he was killed by the Murtala led Coup, which they refuse to admit at the onset, there was a crises of who was meant to succeed Ironsi. Brigadier General Ogundipe was the next in command which was were Ojukwu stood his ground and wouldn't take any command from Gowon who was selected by the northern soldiers to be their choice leader as against the rightful person. It was at this point that Ojukwu stepped up to decide whatever was going to happen in the Eastern region. You can read up his points at Aburi on how no decision should be made regarding any region without the agreement of the military governor of that region. If Ojukwu had capitulated to the northern soldiers' choice of Gowon as the Head of State, he wouldn't have challenged them to the level of rejecting to meet them in Lagos. This was the situation at the time Awolowo was released from the prison at Calabar. Gowon couldn't have been the one to order Ojukwu concerning a prisoner within the Eastern region. The best situation surrounding his release would be that both men (Ojukwu and Gowon) would have agreed that it was best Awolowo was released since the government that incercerated him was no longer in power. |
AdakaBoro8:Lol. What Ijaw republic are you talking about? Did Adaka Boro present any map of his intended Niger Delta? The answer is 'NO'. His declaration was just a rebellion against Aguiyi Ironsi which we later learnt was sponsored by the northern elements. His own younger brother revealed it to the media few years ago. He had no map nor a robust consultation with notable Ijaw leaders of the time for his republic. No damage was done to any Ijaw republic nor was any Ijaw community destroyed because of Adaka Boro. A surgical operation was carried out and some of his comrades who engaged the army were killed while he himself was arrested. Compare that to what Ijaw communities have suffered under non-Igbos in the quest for resource control and other benefits. It's good for you to learn your history by studying things more rather than relying on blatant hate. It will do more destruction to you. |
AdakaBoro8:Firstly, Ndigbo and Ijaws share a lot of mutually beneficial history together which we can promote and use for tourism under Biafra. Aboh, Brass, Akwete, Bonny and Opobo will feature more on this area. Secondly, it will help to balance the politics of the whole better South as there won't be any future immigration problems in case of any natural or man-made disaster in the future. Thirdly, the unique aquatic capabilities the Ijaws will give them a special position in Biafra which I believe can be harnessed better in a bigger country like Biafra. There are many more but I'll stop here for now. |
AdakaBoro8:We have not been seeing your oil since 1970 till today and Igboland is far richer, beautiful and developed than Ijawland. Fulanis and their allies are the ones sucking it while the spillage is polluting your land. Remember to tell your children this current truth. We have gone international in money making and like 7up... You can see that the difference is clear. We don't even talk about the oil and gas in our own land because that will distract us. Finally, Ndigbo are very much fine without Ijaws in Biafra but we can see ahead and can see that Biafra will be better for us all with Ijaws in it. Outside that, Ijaws will feel the loss more. Most of your land are marshlands and with the coming melting of the polar ice, you'll be in serious need of dry land. Guys like you can't even think ahead. Continue to focus your energy on Ndigbo without thinking about the future of your people. We on the other hand have thought very much about every scenario and still offer a hand of friendship. It is your call mehn. |
AdakaBoro8:We gave you headache and Adaka Boro's friends gave him death. The same way we gave Saro Wiwa headache and Abacha- his friend hung him. I repeat may God join you and the fulanis together since they are your friends. It is your choice bro. |
asanausana91:Clearly, you don't know history. I will stop engaging you further until you learn to argue with facts. Both the first and second Niger bridges were built with resources gotten partly from Igboland and mostly from resources gotten from the old Eastern region who are the most users of both bridges. It isn't something we should be clapping for. We aren't so psychological damaged as to celebrate few infrastructures due to decades of deprivation. Our cognitive faculty still functions proportionally. Lastly, Ojukwu never sentenced Boro to death. He had no power to do so because he was a regional governor. It was the federal government court under Ironsi that tried and sentenced Adaka To death which was later commuted to life imprisonment. Go back and study your history before coming online to challenge Ndigbo about the history of the 50s and 60s. |
APCHaram:It's surprising how you compare a coup d'etat to a rape case. Both are totally unconnected. Many countries have suffered one to several coups and yet come out stronger. The USA witnessed a civil war in 1860s and yet became a world power in less than 80 years later. Your people and their allies succeeded in removing Igbos in national politics in July 1966 and still went to war to destroy Igboland with the support of Britain and Russia(both world powers at the time and evil till today). What stopped you and your allies from developing Nigeria with Ndigbo totally out of the way for nearly 60 years? Are you still laying the blame on Ndigbo? Can't you see how stupid you will sound if this argument were to be televised for a larger audience to follow? Just give it up and admit your failures. For Ndigbo, our present condition is far better than it was in 1967 and yet we demand more because we know where we would have been if we were in a working country. Just do a little Google search or watch documentaries on YouTube comparing Lagos(the most developed city in Nigeria) with Nairobi, Kenya or even Dar es Salaam of Tanzania. These are poor countries when compared to Nigeria. Shame on you for attempting to deflect the true reasons behind the destruction of Nigeria. |
LILTJAY:Exactly how the people in Ondo are trying too. Mod... Front page https://guardian.ng/news/akeredolu-imposes-24-hour-curfew-on-ikare-akoko-over-unrest-killings/ |
APCHaram:Ok. Let's assume you're correct. The first coup happened on 15th January, 1966 and by July 1966, Aguiyi Ironsi was murdered. An Igbo man ruled for only 6 months. Does it mean that the damage done for those 6 months couldn't be fixed for 6 decades? In fact, what exactly were the damages done by the Igbo man in those 6 months? You should list them for all to read. After Nzeogwu's coup, there have been 7 other coups but somehow none of them was levied on the ethnic group of the organizers of those coups. Only the first one led by an Igbo man was termed an 'Igbo coup'. Let impartial minds judge for themselves. |
APCHaram:Who was the head of the first coup d'etat in Nigeria? You should back up your claims with verifiable facts and not conjectures. History remembers Aguiyi Ironsi as a victim of power tussle and nothing more. If he knew he would be counted among the coupist, he would have acted differently from the carefree life he lived. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu of blessed memory came and made his mark as was expected of a true warrior during his time. His people were being massacred all over Nigeria without the federal power providing any protection for them. Ojukwu stepped up as a regional power to defend his people. If that is a crime, may you die any day you think of defending your family members from killers. |
asanausana91:The Last Igboman to rule Nigeria was killed in 1966. That was 57years ago. They said they were liberating the Eastern minorities from Igbo domination yet they cut large swathes of Igboland and joined it with minority lands. They used Adaka Boro to gain understanding of the terrain and murdered him thereafter. After using Ken Saro-Wiwa, they murdered him too. They took over all the oil wells and shared it among themselves leaving the lands Boro was fighting for polluted. They took billions of dollars from oil sales to develop their lands leaving Adaka Boro's land in shambles. They built rail lines to Niger republic but some how there's no enough money to build rail lines to Adaka Boro's village or even Yenagoa. Adaka Boro's brothers are currently being rewarded as pipeline guards in their own lands while the sons of their friends are cooling off in ACed offices living large in multinational oil companies. It's being since 57years ago that an Igbo man presided over the affairs of Nigeria yet our detractors believe that they must constantly remind Boro's people that we are the reason for their suffering and lack of development. To them, Nigeria was destroyed because of the Igbo man. None of those who ruled her from 1966 till date should be accused of any wrong doing. They should be understood for trying their best and failing even after 57years. The point is that an Igbo man isn't fit for anything good and must be seen as such forever. For these demons, Ndigbo and Adaka Boro's people must never get along together because Igbos can't be trusted. They who should be trusted and were actually trusted, look at where they led Nigeria to. Northern minorities are currently witnessing a genocide from Adaka Boro's friends. Everyone can see the type of friendship Adaka Boro's friends enjoy. If they didn't spare northern minorities, is it Adaka Boro's descendants that they will spare? Adaka Boro's Country Can you present us with the map of Adaka Boro's intended country as presented by him? Provide facts with an image as at the time he made his move. |
APCHaram:I know your brain isn't working yet I choose to reply you just to prove to others that my assertion is correct. I was attracted to the thread when Ojukwu and Ironsi were mentioned and accused falsely. It behooves on me and every true Igbo to probe any wrong accusations labelled on our heroes by both criminals and misguided urchins. |
Captain8:May God bless you people with fulanis around you all the days of your existence on this Earth. Hausa people will agree with me. Learn to spell 'Igbo' correctly else I'll be forced to start spelling Ijaw in the wrong way. |
asanausana91:Hahahaha... Can you explain how both Ojukwu and Ironsi sold the Niger Delta to the north? Adaka was eventually killed by his friends who came to 'liberate' him from Ndigbo (his brothers) with whom his people had shared centuries if not millennials together. Today, all the resources in his ancestral lands belong to his northern friends who are using it to build up their lands while leaving his land polluted. Adaka Boro was indeed a hero and his legacy must be preserved. Let the division between Ndigbo and Ijaw continue so that Boro's friends can continue to steal off our collective resources to cart away to their desert lands. |
RZArecta:LMAO. He was beating around the bush instead of going straight to the point. He's claiming that Lagos isn't a province of Nigeria... Oh, how dumb he is. If he wants to have the legal rights to evict Ndigbo from Lagos, he should support the restoration of Biafran after which we will cease to be citizens of Nigeria and lose whatever rights we have in Lagos. Thereafter, he can push for the eviction of Igbos from Lagos just like Idi Amin of Uganda sent away the Indians from Uganda. |
ImperialYoruba:What is stopping you from declaring your own Lagos declaration? You slimy urchin. Do you want others to do the fight for you so you can come out and brag after the heat has died down? Everyone knows your tricks now. Initiate what you want to achieve by yourself. |
naijakissleave:Don't worry. We in IPOB know all the evil plans of the current terrorist fulani government and we are quashing it. It's just sad that many innocent people are being killed by the wicked government to use it and paint us bad which you see our detractors pointing accusing fingers on us here on nairaland but those who understand how evil regimes operate know the truth. Just imagine if we in the SE should fail, which other region can stand against the terrorist fulani government of Nigeria? We know that we can't afford to fail. Our people understand this very fact too. Victory is ours because our hands are clean. |
The best way to immortalise Pele are these 1. Among other monuments named after him in Brazil, he should be honoured by having his image printed on one of their currencies. By so doing, his impact on Brazil and the entire world of football and sports will be better appreciated. It isn't only politicians that impact greatly on societies that should enjoy that privilege. 2. Every country should endeavour to name at least a street or monument after him. This will ensure that the impact that football has made over the years in uniting the world is well appreciated and no other person symbolizes football other than the 'king' himself. Rest In Peace Edson Arantes Do Nascimento Rest In Peace Pele. |
LegendHero:You are a terrorist. Your father and mother are terrorists. Anyone supporting you, your views and family are criminals and potential terrorists. |
LegendHero:You must stop calling IPOB a terrorist group. There's violence and insecurity everywhere in Nigeria with most of the perpetrators being state backed groups yet hate filled entities like you still prefer to push all the accusations on IPOB. You must learn to be properly guided. |
SilverOrLead:Igboland is obviously a blessed land. Whatever challenges we have today we will eventually overcome. Rejoice while you can because soon, it will get to you. |
Kewtt:All your vile comments on this thread against Igbos and Igboland have been copied and kept to be reused on you and your people at the appropriate time. Don't cry by that time. |
Kewtt:Following. |
SilverOrLead:Whatever Igbo our people in the Delta choose for themselves is not your concern. You're neither of the two groups so why bother? Your lunacy is incurable. |
SilverOrLead:You can troll all day but have it at the back of your mind that we are leaving no inch of our land behind. Bear it in mind also that those who made up there minds to be our eternal enemies will remain our enemies and will be treated as enemies. |
SilverOrLead:No urchin will tell us the boundary of our ancestral lands. Go tell your sponsors that an inch of our land won't be left for animals. Let that sink into your delusional mind. |
