Let me use myself as an example, I have somewhere between 4 - 6 years experience and my monthly BASIC salary is over a million naira. Now there are other allowances paid at different months in the year that for this year has totalled about 12 million naira for me. Asides these there are cycle payments, every four years for stuff like furniture, generator, car grant etc that I've not included. YOU GET ALL THESE IN HARD CASH (minus State Govt Tax). And don't let's talk abt the % payrise you get evry year. So guy, I know you are unable to wrap your mind around it (as in how can people in that bush called Naija be earning that kind of money), but Total pay for entry level (CASH BEFORE TAX - no non-monetized benefits) is very much above 15 million naira.

I work for Total and he got everything he said down to a Tee. The pay is much the same for Engineers and Non-Engineers, what makes the difference is the offshore allowance for people who work on the field.
I really could not comprehend the salary initially because i never believed a company can pay that much.
But then, like we use to say among my friends, it is a sin not to work in an oil company.

I like the Igbos for their sense of family unity. They always have an extended family member living with them. All my Igbo friends has niece, nephew,uncle, cousin, aunty or the other living with them. They value family ties.
Also, the igbos are always ready to help themselves. If in an establishment , the Oga patapata is Igbo, 80% of the staff will be Igbo. You will see him recruiting people from his community and anybody else that is igbo as long as their is vacancy to be filled.

I like the Yorubas for their culture and their ways of adressing issue. An average Yoruba person is diplomatic. They are very tactical and will be cool and collected even though their is chaos. He is busy thinking of the best way to tackle the problem in a way that will benefit everybody.
I also love dem Yoruba dudes. Most are lanky and handsome.

I think he might actually be worth what he is claiming if in actual fact he was once the MD of NOLCHEM. The company was owned by the federal govt beofre it was privatised and it was not making profit but govt was pumping money into it. Also consider the fact that he might have been involved in one deal or the other as it is common in the oil industry. His company GRAND VIX is into contracting. Plus there might have been one or two shady deals as typical to govt establishments, especially one running at a loss.

Asides that, Oil company workers are well paid.
I have worked for just 6 months in my work place and i have huge savings atleast for my starters level.
I save 750 every month after every other expenses which are not small.

As for me, it is good news. Something should be done about the cement prices. As at last week, a bag was sold for 2,500naira.
