jpworld: I import sienna 4 sale and one driver canvass me into putting it for interstate for 40k weekly.
I decide to give it a try, within 3months of doing the business i regret my decision.
40k weekly 4 sienna sound so good, when u calculate it weekly to one year.
but the repairs will frustrate u, brake pad will be change every 2 weeks, oil every 2 weeks, tie rod, ball joints, tires u will have to keep changing, and u wont be able to save from the 40k Really !!! Kontinu pls, we r listening

eyinola: 90% of this riders want to do transfer, even for a trip as low as 500, my transfer always takes like 10-30 mins to reflect unless if its same bank...that's y i prefer card trips, it save time and u move on to next trip shaparly One stupid small Yahoo boy wanted to do transfer for a short trip of N400. I just told him straight "guy I no dey accept TX" he went to look for additional N100 to add up to the 3H he has. B4 I accept any trx I first ask of the bank and if its GTB. I tell rider to look for alternative means to pay me. All trx I have had from gtb has always been reverse back I really don't know y |

donfortune48: My way recently.
Rider: I hope you accept transfer? Me: No problem. Hope you can wait for alert. Rider: don't worry you'll get alert. Me: you can transfer the higher estimate you're seen now, so at the end of the trip, if it's more than the trip fair, I'll balance you up. Rider: alright call your account number.
From the beginning of this kind of talk, you'll surely know the ones you can trust and the ones you need to be more vigilant with.
If I end trip and you ask me for my account without telling me on time you're making a transfer.
Rider: how much Me: 2k. Rider: alright, call your account number. Me: transfer? Rider: yes. Me: hope you can wait for alert? Rider: you'll get it. Why do I have to wait? Me: experience have thought me something. I'm sorry but you have to wait.
Even after this, you'll know the ones you can let go immediately after making a transfer and those that you must make wait. Good approach. That was I picked up one stupid girl. End trip at opebi side R: your account numb Me: but this is supposed to be a cash trip. I guess I was just having a swing mood on that very day. R: I don't have cash on me, don't worry you'll get it. M: I need cash and that was the reason I went on the trip, you should have made it a card trip instead R: but I do transfer to all drivers M: what do we do pls, I just need cash. Ok, I'll drive you to a close by ATM R: Ok then let's go. But how do I come back here. Me: I'll bring you back As we were about to go I just remembered. Me: pls not I've not completed the ride since I haven't been paid so the fare may differ after bringing u back here. R: Please just drive We returned and she paid me cash with an additional N200 due to the additional time n distance. I checked my rating to c that my 1star rating has increased by an additional 1 with my rating dropping |

jaymejate: What's going on bro? You've been seeking a vehicle since March. What's happening? Azin enh... Anyways I like his courage and I know he's taking his time to get the right deal. Until you are in his place you wouldnt know how difficult it is to get the right deal that suits. When I was in his place I'd to wait for Novemeber , December and last January for my present partner to put the car in order and I can say that those 90days wait are paying off today. So @coker patience is the key just stick to what you want. I remembered how I was enticed and pressured by one guy like that to accept one bid daddy for 25k, the only thing good about the car was the body and paint every other thing from gearbox, power steering, legs, etc na disaster. If I c how dirty and oily the boot was enh one would wonder if it was a mechanic workshop. I meet a woman who is also a member on this thread though never meet her 1on1 but from our numerious convo she sounds like a good person. Her previous driver wrecked her car and she wanted HP but the color of the car was what discouraged me from taking her offer plus the car has already been in use. I also met a reasonable tribe man whom after I sold my car and was ready to add up to what he has to get a car for HP but all of a sudeen he backed off that I then concluded that I would just relax and let God's will be done. So my good friend @ coker007 just keep the hope alive and be rest assured that your patience, determination and perseverance will pay off soon. Good luck to you as I wait to see you start sharing your experiences about lasma, touts, riders and others |

Olayetan: Yeah Hands-on experience means I've been doing the job rather than making a research on it so i know 30k is doable. My only concern is the total package for the car, does it worth sacrificing for. You're the only person that can answer that question in bold. It's your life and not my. So go sit back and ask yourswld that question in your toilet and I'm sure you'll find an answer. Good luck! |

Vision2045: Appreciation post
Guys kindly help say a word of prayer to my Madam....
She is a very private person, she is on Nairaland and I believe she might be following this group because she picked my number from here when I was looking for HP
My baby boy (11month old) was very ill, started since Friday but got worse over night...we took him to the hospital and after some test and diagnosis..I was asked to make a payment of 150k..... I was down and swept every where and was able to raise 50k plus..after several calls to some friends and close family that I can approach...the outcome was still negative...so summoned my mind to call my partner for a loan of 100k to be paid in installment with my weekly remittance. Lo and behold my people my madam and hubby rather gifted me 50k...
Words can't express how grateful I felt....
I quickly deposited 100k to balance up before my boy is discharged ....
Hitting the road to keep the hustle going
Mrs B God will surprise you and your family with blessings and favour now and forever. Some partners dey aha and mybown madam and oga too are one of them. My oga is an active member of this forum as well because I meet him here though he doesn't like being identify so I respect that, the wife is an angel not just in human form alone but in God form. May God bless all the good partners out there and continue to prosper them. Let's all see this period as a time to survive and I know that soon we shall all come out victorious in this fight against the covid 19 pandemic and we shall all recover all that we have lost. |

Babadee1900: 1. I rate it 8/10, would have given it 10/10 if it was a civic with smaller engine.
2. I use it full time and it has never let me down.
3. Yes, I will recommend it any day anytime (provided you are buying it toks or well maintained Naija use)
4. My experience with EOD has been a bitter sweet one. I’ve owned an EOD that turned out to be a nightmare (Naija used), but this particular one I’m using currently is bae. The driving experience is lovely, AC is excellent. No engine/transmission/ac repair work since 4years of entering Nigeria.
5. I use Tokunbo ball joint. OEM is expensive, Part sellers will try to sell you same thing for different prices. You will hear this one Na original, this one no too strong but e go last, NA LIE. The only time I tried to use the China ball joint I suffered for it.
Sometime ago I traveled leaving the car behind, upon my return I told my babe to give the security guy the car key so he can wash it before I get back. He decided to drive the car to show off to his friends around the neighborhood, on his way back to the house he had an accident with the car. The impact affected the right ball joint, absorber and linkage. We couldn’t get toks ball joint around so we resulted to using the China one, less than two months after the ball joint pulled out at VGC exit gate around 7pm
Again at that time of the day, and location, only new will suffice, bought one around and replaced. A week later I changed it to Toks. That silly act by my security guy made me loose my stock absorber, linkage and ball joint.
Generally Honda is a good brand. Just get yourself a good unit (Tokunbo or sound Naija used), stick to the recommended oil especially the gear oil and all will be well. C where uber driver dey live. Why will owners not request for 35k wen they can afford to live in this kind neighborhood but their driver is living in lekki with natural ocean air. Uber drivers I fear una ooh. In fact from next week na 50k my drivers go start to pay. |

peeps4u: LOL, it is one thing to demand for 30/35k, it is another thing if it is attainable with drivers. New drivers desperately looking for cars will even accept 40k but it always doesnt end well. I will advise again, drive the car yourself or sell it if 25k is too low. This job don cast and mostly suitable for owner drivers, u can't force drivers to deliver what's not deliverable, no matter how badly you clamour for 35k. Which drivers will deliver 35k weekly again? No old driver will even accept 30k, only new drivers accept such and they mostly always fail.
Good luck. I wonder why you are so interested talking to a blatant fool abi you sabi d guy? 30/35k for 17years old car when moove 2016 is there @25k plus brand new phone that becomes years personally. Those guys keep callung me like twice weekly that uber keeps pushing my details to them. A 2016 Honda Accord is waiting for me any time I am ready- those where the words of the lady that we spoke for almost 20min last week. A phone, POP, I can travel with car within 9ja, car will always be under my custody, comprehensive insurance, plus other benefits attached. The only thing I've not signed up with them because ; 1) My oga madam na correct woman and she hasn't given me a reason to leave even if my madam oga dey f****p but na still correct guy shall. 2) business is still slow with uber, it will be extremely difficult for a family man like me to rent at 25k unless it's HP but say rental?
