Felicity001 your head dey there. Why would one wait till he gets blocked from cash trips before he remits to Bolt? Maybe some drivers don't know sha.

Personally, my 'bench balance is -N4,000'. Once it crosses N4,000, I make a transfer of N3,000 to them which should bring me back to a balance of -1,000+, and the process repeats itself again when it rises above that...
Another thing that is important to note is, always make sure to own bolt some reasonable amount e.g. max 4k. With that they'll hardly block your account no matter the greviance of ur offence.

No tell them say na me teach you bad tin ooh. grin

I parked somewhere on Bourdillon road Ikoyi to pee. I was halfway done when I looked back and I saw them with their towing van positioned in a way that I can’t fight it. Either I let them drive it or tow it. I beg to have it driven so I don’t pay for towing. After so much of going back and forth they agreed to take 10k.

I was alone in the car with the lastma guy that drove and I kept begging him 3k later increased to 5k, he didn’t accept when we got to their office at Sura, he said if I don’t do ‘normal’ he will drive the car into their compound then I can beg his superior with the 5k. I know better not to allow him drive into their compound.

I did bolt card trip, they still recorded it as cash trip. I was having N6060 as debit yesterday. I did only 2,900 all card trips cos I’m block for cash trips. I check my balance today and saw 6640. Please what do I do. Is any one having same issues. Please guys always take note of ur closing balance at d end of the day. Bolt is playing tricks on us.
Its not a trick brother man, most of us here should be educated enough to understand the modus operandi of how things work and that sometimes there could be technical problem ranging from GPS, phone problem, network, software and so many others.

So, just send them a mail by requesting a fare review to that particular trip and it will be reconcile accordingly but you'll have to be patient till Monday because today is Saturday.

Also, don't always wait for card trips to settle or give back to ceaser his dues. Even the okada drivers, bus drivers, trailer and other commuters do pay as they load and its all over the country. What I do at the end of daily COB I transfer a particular amount accorsing that wont break my bank account to bolt using my account code so I dont get restricted to card trip which would automatically affect my work done at the end of the day an can go further to affecting my partnership with my owner.

Wisdom at this period is profitable and imminent.

Place is quite far and remote. The only sensible thing is to look at it as a return trip. Assuming the return leg of the trip ends at Maryland (at least you’d be back to civilization), total distance should be about 100km. Trip shouldn’t exceed 4hrs, 5hrs at most.

N10k seems to be a fair deal.
Looking for that thunder!

It's everywhere. 90% of card trips is actually 'Transfer trips'. I personally don't have issues with it as far as I receive credit alert before I leave.
That was how i got this request somewhere around LASU axis to Sangotedo, na so joy fill my entire hearr, quickly called rider and just as I was about making a 2nd turn to PU rider called back saying the person was not ready to go, I was like, WDF! na so I won take miss about 10k? because ive done same or almost d same distance some weeks ago plus confirmation on my rider app after the first call. No matter how much I tried to passuade rider I dont mind waiting she insisted for it not to look like I'm desperate I just free her.

Another trip came in just as that heavy rain was pouring. Rider called, destination D-Place Surulere. Manage to navigate to PU but I'd to stop due to flooded road from the heavy down pour has I was not familiar with yhe area. Rider agreed to meet me up immediately the rain stops. Exactly 23mins of waiting rider showed up keeping to her words.

Me: I suggest we make it an offline trip due to the long waiting time which may increase the final fare charge. Na lie oh I've an interior motive.
Rider: Hmm...its ok, lets get going the ln cos I'm already behind schedule.
Me: how much is the estimate, as if I dont know.
She told Me and even did mind topping 5h to it.

Trip was a nice one.

Babe sent my account details to dude and dude transferred money but for aome reason I can't explain I disnt receive alert even in afyer like 5min in her presence. She stepped out I wasnt worried since I was still in D-Place. Called her to complain and hear over the phone dude said no problem he would try again. Immediately after call I got cresit alert.

Another trip came in which was to my residential area, just has we were about to arrive I receieved another credit alert of same amount from same dude. Definitely the 1st transfer he did whixh I didn't received.

In P"Square's voice "this na temptation"

Las las current rider asked me to leave change due to conversation of my call to previous rider.

Quoting a figure might be counterproductive as people that quoted higher might want to compromise and vice versa. Nice one Mrs. Rad. More oils to your engine.

Noticed the Uber surges are back at regular times
Thats because most drivers have port to a more favourable platform. If the surges are back how about the 3% incentives after 20 trips? So long that is not back partnership with uber as a driver at this time is worthless. And even if they've to return it the numbers of trips has to reduce due to reduce numbers of requests.

Depends. Are we talking half to one quart or 2 or more. Also, how close is it too the next oil change. If it's close, might as well do a full change. Or at least remember to still change it at the previously scheduled time. Also, must be the same grade as was already in there.
If I understand correctly what you mean by half to one quart or 2.

From the deep stick oil level is just a little below the first normal gauge.

Apropos to your 2nd question, first time I experience this shortage was due to bad pc-valve and top oil seal dont know if i get the right name. Your husband adviced topping it up.

But Presently, engine has only ran about 9000miles, last oil change was ard late January with mobile1. Though I see some little oil stains just around the same seal that was changed same period the pc valve waa replace at your workshop.

To all the auto personals and experience people in the house this question is for you.

Topping of engine oil in the car after noticing shortage due to some justifiable reasons like maybe, shortage due to damage and or replace oil seal, due or about to be due for a total change of oil/service, etc.

So does adding of a fresh oil to top the engine oil good for the engine?

What is the likely advance effect of rhis usual act?

QUESTION FOR THE HOUSE.

in light of these trying times, what salary would you take to go back to a regular job?
This is question I find difficult to answer in an interview but as for your question I will say you should provide more information or make more paintings about the job to get more reasonable responses.

But, Assuming I where asked this honest question in an interview my honest response will be base on a lot of considerations which may include:

How long I'll have to travel to work place from my place of residence just incase the company is not providing accommodation close to work place.
In this case let's assume coy is providing accommodation.

How of hours I'll be working every day.
Assume 8hrs which is 8am-5pm daily

I will ask my self is the position in line with my carrier objective? How well will it build me, position me to being a professional?
In this case let's assume, Yes. Meaning would be happy working for the org.

Will the organization being offering training at subsequent time which may include travel, seminars and all that? Let's assume, Yes.

Let me stop here, then a salary range I would accept base on the above would further be considered base on these two conditions as well.

If organization is located on the island within N100k to N150k will be ok considering the high cost of living and education for my kids. But,
If company is on the mainland, then N70k-120k will be ok. Either ways, there should prospect in salary increase as the economy gets better.

Lastly and not the least, if it's a full staffing job then in either situation of the organization salary range of N100-120kk for island location while N70-100k for mainland should be considered. Otherwise, N150-200k for island location and N100-150k for mainland should be considered.

All condition is base on my marital status which is "married" and with kids. I can only speak for myself.

Make we no just go there,
So because driver wants to meet up he will now defraud people.
If d driver had said I can't deliver package if u are not going on d trip I will cancel and Move on. But he agreed and decided to play smart.
Trip of 30mins Eko hotel to surulere (no traffic at all). Trip Ended 2hrs... I had forgotten I sent something until I got alert. I simple told bolt fare displayed is diff for final fare. Bolt asked how many stops and route ? If there was no foul play dey will tell me oga dts ur fare.

For example I took a rider from bourdillion ikoyi he was goin to cms/ajah park.
We faced awolowo - falomo so I can go thru TBS and cms. But there was heavy traffic at falomo, so rider asked me to turn back let's go back thru boudillion to third mainland and use carter bridge cos he was late. Trip ended 1,400
2days later uber deducted 600 and said I had issue with a rider (route and all).
I wrote uber and explained how I took d normal route and rider asked me to turn back cos of traffic, less than 2hrs they refunded d 600 naira and apologized.
Some drivers are not sincere, always trying to play smart.

If I start telling you how many times drivers have tried to use sakamanje for me some I ignore and some I will tell dem I don drive on uber/bolt, before dey go apologize. na why if I hear driver say dem block or barn am I go like ask wetin he do.

Driver go see me near there car and quickly cancel trip and tell me why did u cancel sir? I go say I no cancel, then they will say oya let's do offline since it's cancelled. Why because dem no wan pay commission. Most time I will go on d trip because I know as e dey go.
I can go on and on
Driver go still want collect cash from me on card trip with bold face. bros leave am
Maybe not Nairaland drivers but drivers dey scam riders steady
I understand how it feels to be cheated especially when you're ignorant of how things work but notwithstanding, it still doesn't justify a wrong doing. Let's call a spade a spade.

According to you driver knows the role of engagement relating to parcel carriage and still decided to go on the ride. My question is how sure are you about this claim of the driving being aware of that taxify role which makes them not to be a carriage agency or company? Because, honestly, I myself I was never aware of that role and I was not informed as well during my training with bolt. Don't attribute ignorant to whixh is not an excuse to this else you too are as guilty as charge or even with a greater charge than an ignorant person.

Another thing is apart from the fact that you lie to defend your act of breaking the role which you're aware of, did you try or related with the driver to know what happened and why the fare exceeded the normal amount? But because you think you're well informed, educated and experience/farmiliar with the modus operandi you instead reported the driver directly to his contractor. And now you went on to being the judge and at the same time the acuse and the lawyer with a conclusive assumption that particular driver used "sakamanji" and even stating reasons to why most drivers are barn.

Brother man, nobody is righteous and that includes you and me. And if things like such happens next time try to investigate b4 making conclusion and taking actions and judgment.

That young man could have missed his route maybe because he's new to the job of which I'm sure you will admit to have fallen victim to something similar during your early days in the hustle. How would you have felt had bolt or uber axed you for simple reasons like this just because a rider reported you thereby taking away or cutting short your only means of livelihood

Good or bad!

My opinion again. Please don't take it personal.

Respect brother man!!!

The guy complained to bolt and bolt said d worst they can do is inform the driver to return certificate that the rules says clearly you must be in the car before you start a trip and that bolt is not a courier service.

So when it happened to me, ( I sent a package to my house price showed 800-1200 naira Card trip. When my guy end trip na 2,400 naira )
Na so I call bolt to complain the lady asked how many stops and I should give the routes we took?
I quickly said I slept off didn't know d routes . Because if I said it's a package they won't attend to it.
They did review and price change to 1,400 naira
You're a smart criminal and I categorise you to the many Nigerians that lack the moral standards and good behavior. Knowing fully well the rules if engagements you still went ahead to hoax it and because it bounced back at you you then acted smartly by telling lies twisting the situation to your own favor. Brother man, what you did was totally wrong, condemable and a restitution to that driver is needed by you else you must have committed a great sin against your creator, the driver and even the bolt coy because that act you carried out can or could have lead to that driver not been able to meet up to maybe his weekly remittance or family obligation.

My opinion though.

Let's know and try to live right.

Next thing she says is drive down to lsdpc estate and I asked her where are you heading to, a long pause with errmmm I think ketu and I responded with seems you not sure, next thing she's like what's wrong with you I told you ketu.

I'm like madam pls try and get another driver and immediately cut the phone off. 2 mins later a guy called saying he ordered the ride for someone I just de laugh, say good afternoon where I de? Immediately told the guy I wont be going on the ride that she is free cancel cos she has no manners at all n doesnt know how to talk to people immediately the guy is like ok sorry about that.

If to say I mistakenly go on that ride na 1 star for end am and if you hear the girl voice be like 20 year old girl. No manners awon marlians mad people
Honestly I commend people like you and when ever I read disciplinary stories like I feel happy.

Most nigerians lack courtesy, manners, regards, respect and moral standards and some level of discipline needs to be install into them especially maybe in public.

That was how I got this bolt request today somewhere around Ogudu, actually a 2.3km PUD since its winter season I decided to do it.

Rider called with the usual "where are you, I'm running late" conversation.
Got to PU and GM says I'd arrived, he or I, can't really recall who called shall to communicate of my arrival. About 1min I saw a guy coming out of a building in front of me trying to open the car door to a Toyota muscle car parked in front of the compound he came out from, I was just watching them as they communicate while I broke and eat my cooked groundnut. He looked at his phone, raised his head looking at my direction. He started walking towards my direction, I could see him grumbling and demonstrating trying to say I should drive or should have driven down, he wanted to stop for me to drive down but suddenly walked to me. I was just observing him from a distance and within this time I'd already accessed, identify and categorized him to the kind of rider and the way I should relate with him.

He entered into the back seat through the left door while I started the trip, started my engine and was making a turn.

Me: Good afternoon, please do you have your facemask? Kindly put it on.
Rider: Please put on your AC I feel really hot, I dont have a facemask here I must have left it in the house.
I feel really hot what happened to you AC?
Me: we have to go back and get it, at this point I have already staryed turning, unless you don't want to go on thia ride with me because bolt instructed and advised we don't make use of AC this period and all riders must put on a facemask.
Rider: but I used bolt yesterday and the guy used his AC.
Me: thats him, I believe you where notified of the rules b4 making request for this ride unless you didn't read it.

He was quiet at this point as he knows he already lost the fight. Came down went inside and came back after about 3min.

Rider: I couldn't find my FM I'll buy on our way.
I was reluctant but let it not look like I dey stress over issue too much and base on d season I then continued on the ride and I noticed dude has calm down but i was just praying I don't run into lasmas or police due to him not using a fm.

Finally, I saw a shop somewhere around oregun where we bought a nice fm and the guy immediately put it on aince it was well packaged in a transparent nylon. I immediately turned on the AC then wide up.

I then told him, bro, all of this is for your own good and for our own safety because we could be arrested for you not putting on a fm in public. So please always make sure you have and use a fm when ever you're out of your house.

Trip ended, dude tx my money to me, showed me successful message, thanked me and left.

They ask for code now. And I remember sharing my experience regarding this before Covid. I was literally stranded for more than an hour.
I think I remember that your post. A funny experience I must admit.

These are the tricks I always use for some reasons I can't list but a few.

I have abducted to always make sure I dial riders number to make sure I've h/h contact on my log for the following reasons:
1. For forgotten items on the car
2. Incase I forgot to get an access while driving out
3. For other unforeseen circumstances which could even arise after close of work, you may want to initiate a call for any reason.
4. Even For cancellation either by the rider or the app can sometimes act up.
5. You could sometime drive into an area where you either lost coverage, GPS, run into trouble, or even worse run outta data.

You're only saviour would be the rider's or 3rd party rider's contact. Sometimes/most times I'd always wait to initiate a call till I get to pickup but after having some bad experiences I then resulted in either calling rider immediately a request comes in or just having the contact for any of the aforementioned reasons.

Also, google map keeps records of all previous locations you've visited all you need do is just do as if you where to type an address on the map in the space provided it will bring up the last 5-7 locations you recently visited. You can get the address as well from either the uber/bolt app from you trip hiatory.

The importance of dialing riders number first immediately you accept a request can not be over emphasis especially on uber because the uber app don't allow driver or rider the opportunity of communicating further after the trip is close unlike bilt that the contact can still be there for some time, I think 3days or there about.

And you believe or think the 10k or 100k one nets in a day or a month is a profit just after investing about 2m in buying, registering and doing other expenses a car for ehailing?

What ever business at all that requires huge capital running into millions you need years(time), consistency and reinvestment to recoup your capital before you start thinking of counting profit and ehailing is not excluded from this. The only thing about ehailing that makes it attractive is because the risk involve is not high but very low with insurance being comprehensive and another attractive thing is that it's a daily/weekly income investment, unlike other capital investments e.g agriculture which requires patience and time as a matter of fact "season" to recoup your investment.

famousguy01:
Okay sir, Can you assist me on how to actively invest in agriculture, I’m very much interested
Sir, inasmuch as I wouldnt want to sound discouraging, I also would want to tell you the challenging truth embendled in agricultural venture.

As far/much as I know interest alone is not good enough to make you or anyone decide to venturie into agriculture. Agriculture requires your physical presence, your full time, your involment, capital, knowledge, *PASSION* and most importantly your patience and perseverence

No agroprenuer can strive without passion, perseverance and patience. You can see I asteric and bolden those 3 words, reason is because those are what keeps you going in difficult and trying times, the 3 in combine are you're shadow which never leaves you even in darkness you're shadow remains while light leaves you.

Dru23 did a memes whose says something like, "Don't trust totally on people because even In the dark your shadow(s) will also leave you". I don't know if quoted correctly. But after a deep thought I came up with a different thought that its only the light that left your presence and not your shadow. Its imperative we understand the contextual meaning of the word light used in the sentence so as not to go on believing that the word light means physical brightness. No, but means differently and deep.

For me not to deray too much before some people will call for my head, I will conclude by saying, if you have the capital, interest, and maybe other quality but dont have the "cores" like passion, patience and knowledge you can build on them gradually but another most important thing you can succeed in agriculture without is your time and physical presence. [/b. Don't let anyone lie to you [b]No one, I repeat, No one will ever succeed being an absentee farmer.

Capital and time/physical presence are the two major setback against me this season or I'll say this year but I'm optimistic the light shines on my pockets someday then the time wouldn't be an issue.

Furthermore, if you don't have the time to invest but have the passion and capital you can look for a like and partner with him/them then you guys can have a MOU sign, every business is centred to profiting.

So, if anyone has the money I wouldn't mind a partnership with him/her, feel free to contact me let's reason together and have an understanding.

How I wish I could play a sure bet that would give me minimum of 500k profit. I will be happy.
Unfortunately, there's nothing like sure bet so stop crying for the moon and i would advised you to please instead use that money you want to use and play bet, give it to somebody around you this period to find people that are hungry is very easy because they're just all over the place or better still use the money to drink bear. If you dont so any of this I tell you're on your way to another form of depression because depresson is the end product of gambling.

Its my first. Well request has been dull today, if you wish to come out don’t get your expectations high.

After waiting for that girl for 20minutes she called me to tell me that if I can’t wait anymore I should cancel because she’s waiting for alert and she can’t leave until she gets it. I told her okay, waited for another 10mins before I cancelled.

One hour later no request and it was a dead zone (back of sangotedo market), I kept thinking of the fuel I will waste driving back to civilization, I left there to park at Ogidan shopping complex. Still no request, the girl later called me to come pick her if I am still around.

I had no choice than to drive back to pick her on offline trip to Itedo Estate (off freedom way).
Haha... One of the things we do to survive these period even if it requires moving a rider's property and offloading it and even arranging it in their new house most drivers will gladly do that to at least provide food on their table for themselves and their family.

The annoying thing is most rider know this and take great advantage of it

I miss dru
I personally domt think Dru will comeback to nairaland again, among many reasons I'll only state one sarcastically.

Give yourself a two weeks break from nairaland or let the mods ban you say for like 7days, you would have noticed NL adds little or no value to you rather a total waste of resource, time and energy which you've profited you more had you invested those same time, resource and energy on something else.

In a nut shell, dru isn't coming back because it doesnt cost anything to create another other moniker.

Same reason is behind my erratic presence here if not for the mentions, hineatly? I don't know.

Happy Eid Mubarak to all my Muslim brothers and sisters.

I hope you guys are keeping safe and maintaining the distance as advised.

May God not allow us to be shamed in this difficult and trying times.

It's really not easy at all, from the look of things its even getting more serious. Untop lockdown we are still observing almost a full well public holidays.

This period everyone needs grace to survive, especially drivers partners mainly on the rental package because most drivers(mostly the married once) can't even get a reasonable amount for fueling and to feed their family let alone paying rent of say 10k/15k.

For those still buying cars for the purpose of uber. And those looking for rental, I really dont understand or know who's advising you. This is not a good time to invest in ehailing business rather redirect that money into agriculture, you can recoup your capital within 18months but anyways, all man with his/her passion.

Las las we all go dey alright.
