One thing is sure. Tinubu is smarter and greater than all igbos living or dead.
And can't use this smartness to fix the country? I mean death coming from stampede from food sharing is high evidence of hunger in the land, stop, it's high time he fix the country rather than using the smartness to win election through bribery and corruption

obailala:
The question I asked earlier was more of a philosophical question bordering on the propriety of a sovereign country possessing the right to dictate to other independent sovereign countries who they can or can't talk to, sleep with or do business with.

Why should a sovereign country have the right to even sanction other sovereign countries, to the point of bullying other sovereign independent countries into comforming to the rules they set?

That no one thinks there's a flaw in this system, that is the basis of my confusion which I talked about in my earlier comment.
This is how it works , most of today's technology was developed by europeans and the US, this technology is patented, they hold complete right to who they can sell it to and how u can use it, eg you can not buy a US fighter plane and use it to attack the US, it's in the purchase agreement.

You also can not buy it and sell it to whoever you want , and even if you agree to this terms , does not guarantee they will sell it to you, that's why you don't see many nation strolling to buy their fighter jet anyhow,
So if they don't like you and they sanction you, it means nobody using their product must give you that product if they sell plane to Nigeria , Nigeria can not resell that plane to Iran , you can not send money to Iran for example , cos the technology to send money like that is SWIFT, its own by the US and if you want to use it, they will tell you where you can and can not use it
Politics › Re: FGN Investigates Azman Air of Nigeria For Illegal Aircraft Delivery to Iran by femarse:
mu2sa2:
Good thinking. Nigeria isn't a zombie nation to be fighting other people's foe. Iran isn't Nigeria 's enemy and Nigeria shouldn't allow the west to use it as proxy to fight Iran. If Azman trades aircraft with Iran, so what? After all, the Iranians will pay Azman and the money will be in hard currency, which will help boost our forex. I know some mumu will come here to exhibit their mobid, fanatical ignorance, but if Azman or anybody else did sell aircraft to Iran, that's business. In fact, Airpeace and other businesses should exploit the situation and make good bucks. Nigeria should be non aligned and do good business with ALL countries on earth for the benefit of the country, not minding the blackmail of the west.
God bless our dear native land of Nigeria and shame her detractors.
This comment here shows how limited your knowledge is and terrible the situation is if we have plenty of your kind
Before you spew another trash, this is how sanction works

Any product develop and designed by the US or its allies like UK, France Germany can not be sold to a sanctioned nation, eg you can not send money to Iran , Pakistan , Afghanistan from Nigeria using any of transfer option available because those platform were developed by US, most especially (SWIFT) (her people or govt)

Now, you can't just buy a US plane and sell to whoever you want , in the agreement of purchase, they will list the people you can not sell the plane to or even fly to without an express approval from them ....so bro u are not going to make money using that route, you will be ban from ever buying a plane from them

No, he is not.

Trying to find a solution to a self-inflicted problem that has existed for several decades is not madness.

You can't open a dollar account at any bank branch in the UK, nor can you open a Pounds account at a bank in the US.

Why should individuals be allowed to operate dollar accounts in Nigeria. Is it our legal tender huh

This is one of the factors fueling the current misalignment of the naira.

The government needs to phase out dollar accounts. It should not be possible for any individual to open or operate a dollar account.
I know it takes a brainless person to be an APC member ....so continue ...you can open a dollar account in the UK as per you are the UK prime minister

Anyway , the guy you are quarrelling with has a valid point, he simply ask a question....have you converted your own car? I have never seen anywhere where asking question becomes an offence , and to make matter worse , the question is a fantastic one cos if you writing so much about it, you should be able to provide personal experience

Gazzuzz of blessed memory did exactly that, fuel his car with cng and travel to benin from Lagos with it and he document his experience

You dodging the question then finally dragging to politics and so much down to a political candidate shows the rickety and the indirect implication of your thread ....it's not so far to draw conclusion.....

You could have answer ....yes I have converted my car
No I have not converted my car
Or I don't even have a car

How fridge work, fridge only consume electricity when the compressor is working , now the compressor does not work all the time, it works to cool down the fridge to a certain degree, once it reached that degree, the compressor stop working, and no electricity is consume, thos can last upto 1 hr after which the coolness will reduce and the compressor picks again to cool down the fridge , this will however be for like 10 mins before the compressor stop for another 1hr

However if you are switching off the fridge for 12hrs straight as advice, the compressor will work for the remaining 12hrs straight that you put it on to achieve coolness compare to the 15 mins work every 1hr

15mins work every 1 hr or 12hr straight every day , which one do u think will save electricity

T9ksy:
And how do you think Pa Awo could have force yoruba out of Nigeria, at the time in question? Had Awolowo tried anything of such, what happened to Biafra would have been our lot with the attendant destruction of yorubaland and innocent lives.

By so doing, pa awo would havefallen into Ojukwu's trap. What do we have to fight with? Even ojukwu that bragged of been preparing since the " Northerners revenge coup" of July 1966, only had a few guns - relics from the WW1, in his armoury. Coupled with the fact the west & lagos was under siege from Northern troops, still bloodthirsty after igbos had murdered their revered spiritual leaders and also top military personnel.

Interesting enough, ojukwu was going to attack yorubaland anyway, regardless of what steps awo takes.
The aburi meeting in Ghana , the resolution was if two region back out, the country will resolve, ojukwu already back out, in that meeting awolo6was Yoruba representative, akintola has been killed in the coup, they all came back to Lagos and with the promise of being a vice president (head of state ) from gowon, awolowo choose to back gowon , since 2 of the three people decided to stick , the third don't have a choice , leading to the civil war

Politics › Re: THROWBACK: The Babangida Palace Coup Of August 27, 1985 By Nowa Omoigui by femarse: 5:28pm On Aug 28, 2024
Idiot should stop seeing the coup from the eyes of tribalism, everytime you see the coup from the point of tribalism , you are a very big fool and a stupid idiot, every time a coup is executed , it was executed by Nigerians for Nigerians by group of military officers from the Nigerian army who seek to take control of the govt due to the corrupt nature of the civilian govt that is still happening today , you are very stupid to be seeing it from the spec of tribalism

The very first coup comprises of many igbo officers and 1 yoruba officers adewale ademoyega , whose account of the coup as been deem as the most authoritative of all the account , and Obasanjo was a friend to all the coup planners ,

Secondly they were all educated safe for leader of the coup , adewale himself was educated in England, Emmanuel ifeajuna graduated from UI etc ...they were seeing the glaring corruption the same way we were seeing it now and they decided to do something about it

Lastly , the north were the one that decided they wanted to leave Nigeria not the igbo, it was the British that persuaded the north to stay as oil was just discovered to be the new gold , the British severely warn the north , if they leave , agriculture will not save them, And igbo declaring independent was not because if the oil but solely for the fact that there were senior people in the military who senior both ojukwu and gown, both of which are of same rank, it's this very factor that ojukwu refuse to bow to his mate that led to civil war , personal reason not national or regional reason

The only person I blame in all of this is obafemi awolowo, who was the only reason Nigeria still exist for declaring support for gowon, if Obafemi awolowo has also force us Yoruba to leave the entrapment call Nigeria , we Yoruba will be rivaling the western nation and I strongly believe the south and the east will not be far behind in development, Nigeria as a whole is an entrapment of corruption that will continue to sing development song in years to come

TopBanter:
Firstly, I don't waste my own time blaming Obi for anything. To me he is a leadership nonentity plus incompetent and morally bankrupt coward who cannot even handle challenging local governments in Lagos let alone Nigeria.

My past posts will show you I am not one of those who considers Obi to be anything at all. Those moving and winning in Nigeria, as self-made guys, know Obi is not even an option when talking about proper and authoritative men who can hold the Presidency and use it reformationally.

Nigeria is no joke. It is full of monsters only bigger monsters can dominate and cower. Obi is not about that life and can never be. Anyone active in the field will know and admit that.

Secondly, you're still far behind in where you need to be per how Nigeria works if you are still seeing APC, PDP, Labour etal.

2015 to 2023 was the reign of Buhari and his cabal that was completely about them doing what they wanted, in pursuit of personal agendas, with no regard for what APC, as a Party, tout as guiding political ideals and principles.

People who truly understand Nigeria will always dismiss and shun those, like you, still thinking we have purist Party politics dedication in Nigeria.

How many Political Parties has Obi, Atiku, Saraki and literally thousands of our politicians joined, left, rejoined , left and rejoined ? What does thay tell you?

Nothing more tragic than an unsophisticated electorate or polity seeing one thing while their leaders see and believe in something entirely different. Keep seeing APC, PDP, Labour etal.

Nigerian Politcal Parties, for the stage our democracy is at, are just plaforms for men and women to actualize their personal agendas which may be good or bad.

Whether leaders are good or bad is what smart Nigerians should vote based on rather than think all in APC, PDP, Labour etal are ideological and politically conjoined soulmate.

Buhari and Tinubu are nothing alike at all if not for APC and political interest that united them.
Somehow , Obi is too small.for your big man eyes to see but 70% of your post is all about hatred for Obi and even thou it was APC led by tinubu and Buhari that plunge us to where we are now, you only mention them once or twice while obi was mentioned way more than I can count , when you are done satisfying your hatred and when that hatred has led to the development we all wanted , pls notify us

It's very easy to think that Obi's twitter is being managed by Anambra1st son, but no. The twitter posts are a reflection of his divisive governance of Anambra where he divided Catholic and christians and even discriminated against non Anambra Ibos.

Some comments from the post on X

- He is extremely ethnocentric. He is not fit to lead a diverse society like Nigeria. I have nothing against the Igbo nation but Peter Obi. Give me Dave Umahi and I will gladly give him my full support

- Peter Obi is all about his Igbo people. This is how he would have governed Nigeria

- The man is desperate and he has brought his political and ethnic bigotry to our sports again ,the only unifying factor in Nigeria should not be dragged into his desperate move to become the president of Nigeria.

- The guy doesn't hide his bigotry and hypocrisy.

- He is not yet able to beat that ethnocentricty tag.

- Peter Obi needs to learn how to be a leader. All this shopping around for negativity and nasty complaints about Nigeria is not leadership nor love of country you want to lead. Every day, he is sad and angry about the country. Sore looser!

- Sometimes I assume he is not managing his X handle himself because no one who desires the highest office would act tribal and hypocrites like Mr Peter. I wish Nigeria the best of luck in choosing their future leader but a man like Mr Peter is not even worthy to lead a Village.

- Peter Obi, alots he needs to learn about leadership
