Some singles see married people posting anniversary pictures, travelling with their spouses, raising children and enjoying companionship. They begin to wonder when their own turn will come.

Meanwhile, some married people see their single friends travelling without seeking permission, spending their money as they please, making personal decisions freely and enjoying a level of independence they no longer have. They begin to wonder whether marriage was worth it.

But there is something both sides often forget: you are comparing your private struggles with somebody else's public appearance.

That married couple posting beautiful pictures may be dealing with financial pressure, family interference, trust issues or problems they would never discuss on social media. That single person enjoying freedom may be battling loneliness, financial responsibilities or the frustration of not finding a suitable partner.

Marriage comes with companionship, shared responsibilities and the opportunity to build a family with someone you love. It also comes with sacrifices, compromises, financial obligations and the responsibility of considering another person's needs when making decisions.

Singlehood offers independence, flexibility and time to develop yourself. However, it can also come with loneliness, pressure from family and society, and uncertainty about finding the right person.

Neither situation is automatically better. Your experience depends largely on the choices you make and the circumstances you find yourself in.

The real problem is not being single or married. The problem is entering a situation you are not prepared for, or remaining in one that is destroying you simply because you are afraid of what people will say.

Don't marry because your friends are getting married, your parents are pressuring you or you are tired of attending weddings alone. Marriage is not a competition, and a wedding ceremony is not proof that someone has made the right choice.

Likewise, don't condemn marriage because you have seen people suffer in bad relationships. There are couples who genuinely enjoy their marriages, support each other's ambitions, resolve disagreements with maturity and build beautiful lives together.

If you are single, use the time to understand yourself, develop your character, improve your finances and learn what you need in a life partner. Don't just look for someone to marry. Look for someone with whom you can build a healthy life.

If you are married, stop romanticising the freedom of singlehood whenever marriage becomes difficult. Work on your relationship, communicate honestly and appreciate what you have, provided the relationship is safe and healthy.

Of course, this is not an argument for staying in an abusive or dangerous marriage. Protecting yourself matters more than maintaining appearances.

At the end of the day, marriage is not an automatic upgrade, and singlehood is not a life sentence. Both have advantages, disadvantages and responsibilities that people on the other side may not fully understand.

Stop envying what you see from a distance. Understand what you are choosing before you choose it.

My question is this: For those who are married If you could go back in time, would you still choose marriage or singlehood? And for those who have experienced both, which do you honestly find more fulfilling, and why?

If Yes, how did you scale through this issue pending when you are applying for other options?

To be sincere, this is my first experience and I must confess, it is affecting my mental health. I have never been known to borrow money but since I started working for this company, I have been borrowing to feed even as begging for data.....

Worst still, this happened to me when I have just rented a new apartment and I am basically exhausted.
