You should know when I talk, I don't talk of the poor amongst us. They're everywhere on earth. It's just like asking you...are those depending on food banks over there building?
You no do comparative analysis for school

Those depending on food banks are immigrants trying to find their feet

Those struggling to get palliatives are citizens on their own soil

Go and sit down my friend. You're talking as if you've never stepped your foot on our soil before grin. Let the bag of cement hit 100k a bag, people are still building, everyday. Despite the cost of cement, did you hear cement manufacturers shouting of product glut.? A glut is when you have piled up goods in warehouse and nobody is buying. Cement isn't still sufficient, despite the cost. What does that suggest to you?

In 2014, a bag of cement was less than 1k. People complained, they said it was expensive yet, mansions kept springing up. I built my first house in an eye brow area of lagos when cement was 2,800. Forget the noise. Only those in the diaspora like my friend dey shout say bag of cement don cost say money sent home couldn't buy much. They have limited and fixed resources
You ve not answer my question. Are those struggling for palliatives building ? And you say we are rich

You just watch your income vanish even before collecting it. We're actually richer than most of them but na greed dey worry us for naija.

We build our own house with our money, no mortgage. We buy our own cars with our money, no need to worry or thinking about APR all the time, still buy air tickets and travel to where they love but they dare not travel as frequently as we do cos they've got bills to pay. Now tell me, who's richer?
How many people can afford a bag of cement in today's Nigeria

Is it people that govt is supporting with palliative. Nigeria is not rich.

You can have any other challenges in the UK but when it comes to food, you are settled.

Odotech:
A whole 40 million people suffering inferiority complex. The Edo people are 98% igodomigodo blood. But the royalty may have a Yoruba infiltration at a point. Even that infiltration has less than 5% Yoruba DNA today because they always marry pure Benin women just to gain legitimacy among the edos. The Yorubas were unable to set up a world reputable dynasty 100% by themselves hence the fight for control of igodomigodo beginning from the time of oranmiyan just the way itsekiris rather than focus on creating an itsekiri town insist on fighting for recognition as olu of warri ie king of urban urhobo and ijaw towns. The real itsekiri towns are in warri north local govt closer to Edo state by sea and has no geographic connection to urban warri in warri South LG which is 95% urhobo communities. They had to insist on naming itsekiri settlements in urhoboland such as ekurede-itsekiri just to attach to warri by force. Meanwhile, the bigger town where they carved such name from is called ekurede-urhobo community in warri. Ekurede is an urhobo word for family ie family of urhobos (ekurede urhobo). The itsekiri shamelessly, settled in a part of this town and after many years went to court to fight over ownership and renamed their part to ekurede-itsekiri. They didn't even realize ekurede was a pure urhobo word- not itsekiri word. This explains the Yoruba attempted takeover of Edo by mere renaming from igodomigodo to ile binu. That doesn't change the DNA of the pure original inhabitants neither does it change their spoken language. It's just a cosmetic takeover. Nothing to brag
No paragraph, full of wrong information

For those who are busy and multitasking on a job, VN is actually a very important means to send a message across without having to edit, delete and do all that, when you can just open a voice record and say what you need to say and send.

And then if I need to communicate my feeling to the receiver at the other end, VN is the best tool.
Not to mention those who might have lost a limb, how do you expect them to type a lengthy message?.

I so much believe that VN on any platform is a very good invention.

Nature129:
Hi, Nairalanders.

Hope your day is going well.

I want to visit a country outside West Africa where I will need a visa to visit from Nigeria. This is mainly for knowledge and tourism purposes.

I wanted to visit South Africa (to see Mandela's house) or Egypt (to tour the Great Pyramids of Giza).

However, I have seen lots of negative reviews from Nigerians who complain that Egypt and South African embassies in Nigeria always delay their visa processing. Whereas they promise to process their visas in weeks, they don't get responses in months.

Please what country would you recommend? I want to know countries I don't have to wait for long to get their decision or those that won't reject my visa application.

Do you still consider South Africa and Egypt good options and why?

This is where you see there is a difference between knowing good/bad and naturally identifying things that maybe good/bad.

The knowledge of good and bad requires a person to have the duty and obligation of assessing and considering whether a specific subject matter is good or bad eg considering whether you should travel or not.

And this is different from the natural guide God gave man in immediately discerning things in nature which may be good or bad for him whether he has the information of its goodness/badness or not.

Eg you do not need good/bad to decide which shoe to wear or which soup you can create from yam

Absence of knowing whether a thing is good or bad does not mean dummy as proven by many intelligent people here who have asked whether a thing is good or bad eg
https://www.nairaland.com/445208/it-good-remove-thermostat-stop#6033681
https://www.nairaland.com/1834409/eating-raw-noodles-safe-not#25069887

Clearly, these people have no knowledge whether these things are good or bad but that does not mean that they do not have knowledge on driving and cooking.
Exactly, knowledge is a big domain. That's why people go for masters n PhD to seek knowledge in a TINY part of a whole

Sorry, Abraham knew good and bad but Adam did not know good and bad since goood and bad did not exist.

But he knew other things like obidience/disibedience and consequences.

And that is why you see that they were not judged on good/bad but on obedience/disobedience.
Who told you that? Even Adam knew Eve was good

Gen 2:23 The man said,

“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.

Eve said the fruit was GOOD and pleasing to the eyes

Gen 3:6
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it.

You talk as if these guys were dummy in the garden of Eden

Yes or no?
You are the one missing out.
Yes, Abraham knew.... Adam knew as well cos God told him that if you disobey , you will DIE

God didn't even use the word SIN but DEATH to underscore the importance of keeping his rule and the consequences of disobeying him

Adam had that knowledge that the consequences of disobeying God is death
