I am getting my transcripts and English assessment ready to be able to apply. I am yet to create an express entry account. For documents like reference letter and police certificate, does one need to only scan and upload a copy to his/her profile, or is it required to mail a physical copy?

For submitting POF, how recent can the statement of account be? Can it be as old as 2-3 months? Also is there a significant risk if the account balance drops below the required minimum after the AOR stage?

Please, how does one go about getting a police clearance certificate from Nigeria while being overseas? Anyone who knows someone that has been in this situation before?

Sorry if i got that part wrong. On the first few pages of this thread, i saw someone post something about an application fee for that covers about 8 stages of assessment. Isn't an application fee charged by the Australian body in charge of immigration?

Pls, I just started following this thread. I need clarity on some issues. At what stage of the application does the approx. $3500 visa fee come into play? Is that after you are certain your PR has been awarded? Also how is this different to the $500 application fee?

Is it possible for a Nigerian who is studying overseas to be able to complete all the stages of application for Canadian residency without stepping foot in Nigeria? If yes, how does one get police clearance from Nigeria while outside the country, say in the USA?

It's not really advisable to use your Nigeria Bank Card to withdraw cash from ATMs in the US. I don't know about GT bank but Zenith charges 3% of the amount u withdraw.

Well, it seems a lot of us are newbies to shopping for fabric online and don't know how to minimise risks, so I'll throw in a few pointers.

I've done a fair amount of shopping on Aliexpress and they have good stuff. Look for items that have had a lot of orders and also still maintain high ratings. (I generally don't go less than 92-93%).

Also read the customer reviews. If a certain flaw is constantly being highlighted, then that is a red flag.

To the guy, who spent $60 on a shoe and thinks that was super savings, well think again. You can get good shoes for half that price on Aliexpress. I still took delivery of one yesterday. And it's not just clothes, i have shopped wallets, rings, bracelets etc and guess what you don't owe anyone a reason to tell them where you got it from.

Yea, international students can apply for loans but you will need a co-signer(guarantor) to endorse your application and he/she must be a US citizen. Without a co-signer, it's difficult for international students to be approved for one. Visit internationalstudentloan.com to learn more.

I don't envisage you should have any major problems with them. Used them once but got to my destination 30 mins after scheduled arrival time. If you are taking a connecting flight at Iowa, it's best to add another hour or so after their allocated arrival time.

I think you are allowed to reschedule up to a maximum of three times.

Yea, some schools take in applicants with 2:2. You would probably want to get a good GPA score and get some stellar recommendations to back it up if you want a GA position.

Not all school ask for WES..

There is no need of wasting money for WES when at the end of the day the gpa will not be 3.0 which is required by schools before giving scholarship for UG applicants and at the end of the day the school didn't give scholarship after spending over 20k to send result to WES and another 40k for WES evaluation making total of 60k

Well there are alot of schools in USA that will give admission without WES even scholarship with it

Thanks for your detailed response, Walspring. I sent you a mail earlier on. There is certain intending student who asked me for counsel and i am not really knowledgeable of the undergraduate application process.
So in the case in which an applicant does not want to use WES, is the WAEC results along with SAT scores enough or must the student go to his secondary school for transcripts?

Its not really necessary, but if you want to evaluate start earlier cause waec is too slow.. I started my own evaluation since November nd waec just verified my result yesterday after pleading nd begging them . Its stressful tho.

Okay, pls assess the steps i listed below. Correct me if i am wrong, and feel free to add to it.

1. Go to WAEC office to have your scores posted to WES. (How much does WAEC charge for this?
2. WES receives your results and emails WAEC to verify. (I guess the WES evaluation charge is $210)
3. WAEC verifies and your scores are evaluated.

May I ask why your evaluation took long? Did you just complete secondary school?
