If you have never been denied before or in d last 6 months you can apply for emergency date am just saying you should pay your sevis so it would reflect on time....thats all

JakeHarris, i just sent you a pm. Are u located in the US? My institution just scanned me my I-20. Can you help me with the SEVIS fee payment today? Waiting to hear from you.

You only need d sevis no for i-20 to book a date and another advice pay your sevis today...... asin today so that it would reflect before monday....and how many admissions did you get?
Thanks. I had only one admit though i applied to two
schools. I have emailed the graduate school with
regards to scanning the I-20. I seriously doubt if I
can pay the SEVIS fee today but let's see how it
goes. What do u suppose could be the implications if
i do not pay today? Secondly, i was reading about
emergency appointment on USA consular website.
Has anyone here taken advantage of it?

Hi guys,

My I-20 is scheduled to arrive by the 18th of this month. I am yet to pay for SEVIS or or visa appointment. School is resuming on the 9th of January. Do you think it is still possible to make the nnecessary payments, book a visa appointment and flight ticket before that date.

Thanks.

hello house!! I want to first appreciate everyone who has been contributing to this thread. u all are doin a wonderful job. i am new to this thread. I have a question.. I am planning on doin my masters in business admission. bt I'm still considering if I shud write GMAT or GRE. some schools accept GRE for MBA programme. I knw i shud write GMAT cos its well recognized for MBA. bt I dnt wanna tk it cos I heard it is only computer based. unlike GRE which is both paper based and computer bases. so my question is dat will my chances of getting admission be low if I write GRE Instead of GMAT? and which exam is easier. GMAT or GRE? and also, is The GMAT really computer based only? thanks!!

Hi guys,

Need your help with these questions:

1. What is/are the major differences between colleges and universities?

2. Are colleges generally less expensive compared to universities?

3. Does applying to a university instead of a college increase my chances of being awarded a study permit?

Thanks.

Travel / Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by Femicrux: 3:16am On Dec 07, 2014
I'm considering applying to study in Finland for Masters degree in engineering. I have written the IELTS and the GRE previously. I also have original copies of my transcripts and degree certificates. I would like to inquire if their are Finnish schools who offer grants to international students beyond the free tuition package? Also, is it generally permissible for students to send notarized copies of transcript instead of requesting it be sent by your university?

Wrong listing; 99% of Nairalanders are schooling in France.

Well, nairalanders and Nigerians are not exactly the same thing. The OP made reference to Nigerians (a much more broader bracket).

Hello Nlanders in d hos, I contacted the graduate admission office of uni of Wisconsin to mak enquiry for GRE requirment for biotechnology. Her response was dat GRE isn't required n dat two yrs post BSc degree xperience is #1 criteria. Secondly she said no applicant from naija has ever gotten a visa. My qstion is shud I still apply knowin dat I will write GRE because of VO n can I say I hav xperienc in my CV weras I don't, hop it will not b a problem?

Why don't you just strike the school off your list? There are thousands of schools in the US. Additionally, you should see the pre-application inquiries you are making as a cogent tool to make informed choices and not one to stick stubbornly to what is glaringly not the best for you.

Good evening all,

Pls I have a relative who just got admitted into Unilorin to study engineering. His name was released on the first list about a month ago. His status on the Unilorin portal still says 'Not cleared'. He has uploaded all required details. Should we be concerned or is this a general situation?

Investment Ads / Buy The Millionaire Fastlane Book By MJ Demarco by Femicrux: 10:44am On Sep 22, 2014
The award winning bestseller "The Millionaire Fastlane" is available for sale. This book has stirred up a lot of controversy globally, because it counters a lot of the dictations in other financially related books such as "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and so on.

Read some reviews about the book.

1. "The Millionaire Fastlane is an informative and engaging book. Very well written, easy to follow and more truthful than any book of this type that I have read in the past. I do not want to even compare this book to any other book because it is not like any other book, it is full of hard hitting truth. "

2. "Wow, I've read countless books on wealth creation, business and more, but this is ONE OF THE best I've reward in a long time, dare I say it if not THE best. The author just tells it how's it says, and has the guts to expose some of the crap that the 'Gurus' teach. The very gurus and experts although I still learn from and respect today, But DeMarco of this book just literally spelt out what I always saw as problems in the way we are taught, even from the experts."

3. "If you want to be wealthy, you should probably marry this book. I will use this book as my Bible for now and apply what it teaches, because it is powerful!"

4. "I've read a lot of books in the "Business" category, especially the kind that purport to instruct you on how to "get rich." This is the first book I've ever read that actually lays it all on the line. Mr. DeMarco tells you why some of the more popular books on this subject will never help you to get rich, and why his particular road to wealth ISN'T the only one! He will help you develop the millionaire mindset and show you what your most valuable asset REALLY is. He shows you how to evaluate a business to determine if it will ever become a fastlane to wealth, and details the various ways "being your own boss" could be the path to early retirement - or just a cleverly disguised J-O-B. If you seriously want to get free from the "rat race," put this book at the top of your "currently reading" list today!"
