aryzgreat: Well, i took my time to read every single comment on this thread after i came back from mass. It gives me joy that my people have woken up, the trickish n hypocritic nature of yorubas will be their greatest undoing. Thought they would have learn from their mini-god awolawo but they seem to be tutored on the act of hypocritism at such a young age.But the last time I checked Ngige was loved by Anamberian why sudden Change at this time, why so much hatred to the extent of beating him up. Pls no insult I just want to know cus I'm confuse |

At least 42 people have been killed and dozens more injured after extremist militants attacked a boarding school in the Western African country. Survivors say gunmen launched a pre-dawn attack on a secondary school in Mamudo village, near the city of Potiskum, in the northeast of the country. The causalities come after unidentified gunmen gathered their victims in a hostel and threw explosives and opened fire. Local health officials say they have received more than forty dead bodies following the deadly attack. "We received 42 dead bodies of students and other staff of government secondary school (in) Mamudo last night. Some of them had gunshot wounds while many of them had burns and ruptured tissues," said Haliru Aliyu of Potiskum General Hospital. Medical sources said the death toll is expected to rise as some of the injured are reported to be in critical condition Some of the students were burnt alive as the assailants set the school on fire. The survivors say dozens of children who escaped into the bush remain missing. No group has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack. http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/07/06/312572/militants-kill-42-in-nigeria-school-attack/ |

[quote author=texaco1]he isnt clueless but i think his major fault is that he is often slow in taking firm actions ,just like he himself confessed, that in turn tends to portray him as clueless.and secondly when he took over he didnt want to step on too many toes due to circumstances surrounding his emergence as president[/ that simply identify him as the man who got a clue |
I LOVE THIS timely, effective and strategically unassailable.” |
ABUJA—Presidency, yesterday, hailed youths in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states, who were said to be fully co-operating with security agencies to hunt and hand over insurgents to the military. It said that having carried out an assessment of the state of emergency declared by President Goodluck Jonathan in the three states, normalcy was gradually returning to the North-East of the country. The Presidency, in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President, Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, yesterday, said that the National Emergency Management Agency and Borno State government had confirmed that only 126 Nigerians had so far been displaced by the operations, noting that the bulk of the refugees were Nigeriens. According to the Presidency, this was contrary to a report that 8,000 Nigerians were fleeing to Niger Republic as a result of the emergency rule. Youths’ effort The statement said: “Perhaps, most gratifying is the new development where citizens, especially youths, are now fully co-operating with security agencies to hunt down these insurgents and hand them over to the military. “Without doubt, these youths are the new national heroes, who have risen up to the occasion in an unprecedented patriotic fashion to work together with their government by going after their tormentors. “This is heart-warming and clearly indicative of an awakened consciousness of civic responsibility.” It said that the presidency was winning the war against terror and terrorists, adding that the results had proven that opposition political leaders, who opposed the emergency rule and proscription of terrorist groups, were actually clueless and blinded by their political pursuits. The Presidency said: “One month into the state of emergency declared by President Goodluck Jonathan in some states in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria, reports from Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states are reassuring. “Normalcy is gradually being restored as a result of the gallant efforts of the Armed Forces, other security agencies and the co-operation of the local communities. “Markets are being re-opened, children are returning to schools, sacked communities are being re-inhabited, while commercial activities in major towns in the affected states are approaching pre-insurgency period. Displaced persons “Also, contrary to a report in some media that 8,000 Nigerians were fleeing to Niger Republic as a result of the emergency rule, National Emergency Management Agency and Borno State government have confirmed that only 126 Nigerians have so far been displaced by the operations and that the bulk of the refugees referred to in the report were Nigeriens returning to Niger. “It is, therefore, gratifying that Nigeria is winning the war on terror and that the decision by President Goodluck Jonathan to declare a state of emergency in these three states is timely, effective and strategically unassailable.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/06/north-east-youths-hunt-insurgents-says-presidency/ |

Rossikk: You do realize ''the history of the Nigerian police'' includes decades of policemen battling armed robbers and sacrificing their lives in their thousands for YOU? As well as patrolling the streets in the dead of night to protect you from men of the underworld at great risk to themselves?sported |
cogitoErgo: This seems no fault of the police at all, infact frm info here, police needs encouragement. Even in America, police cars get smashed during chase!they really need encouragement not criticism like you see many guys here yelling at them at any little mistake . i met some of them on duty, i will tell you they are not happy with what people are gossiping, even on the media here that they will wreck the car withing 1 month or so. they vowed that the will bit mercilessly from anyone be it car driver or car owner who by mistake or so come close to hit the car. |
from the news i got the armed men was looking for a way out of the city after they snatched a white range sport 2014. but unlucky for them five police patrol suv car rounded them up then immediately the armed men open fire on the police car, and one of the car crashed inside a pit. but the good news is that the 3 boys was arrested and now in police net. |

abouzaid: I'm happy that Gowon have finally accepted to face d icj. I will advise his legal team to prepare to answer this questions. 1) did he approve d bombing of bombing of schools, churches, markets and other civilian targets.2) was he aware that awolowo his vice president ordered a blockade of food and drugs against biafra and went on to say that hunger is a weapon of hunger among other genocidal things which was well reported in both local and foreign news media 3) did he break the aburi accord which led to the secession of biafra. 4) was he not aware that his generals engaged in mass execution of civillians in nigerian occupied areas 5) was he not aware of the widely reported execution of over 8000 igbo young men (civillians) in asaba by general murtala muhammed even though asaba was not part of biafra, their only offense was being igbo.6) was bakassi handed over to cameroon and the aborigines displaced by him in return for implementing food and medicine blockade 7) did he not approve the 20 pounds policy of awolowo knowing fully well that will lead to a lifetime of poverty and intergenerational poverty for a region ravaged by warall these wicked bigot are afraid to quote this post. tank @ poster |

did he not intentionally fan d embers of division in biafra leading to the abandoned property saga that dispossessed igbos of their houses and properties they have even in the north 9) did general adekunle refuse delivery of food and medicines to the starving biafran minorities (ogoni, anang, ibibio, efik, kalabari etc) he occupied their land 10) was he aware that top government officials repeatedly said that the igbo numbers must be drastically be reduced ? This was well reported in local and foreign media which led biafra to reject a land corridor when offered out of fear being poisoned. Even d usa government d usa government begged him to allow air delivery of foods from neutral countries but he refused. He was also asked to provide inspection officials but he refused. 11) was the said josina ship owned by the red cross and caritas and did the manifest say it's loaded with relief? Or was it privately owned 12) did the clearly marked red cross air plane he shot down at calabar killing all the crew contain any single round of ammunition 13) can he stand before the ICJ and tell the world that red cross and caritas ships and air planes were being used to smuggle weapons into biafra. 14) what was the government war theme songs being played on the northern radio stations 15) was he not aware of the ongoing executions at the markudi bridge. 16) did he not execute all eastern soldiers in the north while ojukwu safely transported northern soldiers and civillians in the east. I have more to add on that list but a sunday morning is not my best time to do so. However, i won't fail to make spirited efforts to contact the ICJ office for his investigation to proceed? I hope biafran and delta igbo legal experts should do so too.
