Femi, Don't be confused. Ngige could have simply conviced fashola to apologise publicly to Ndi Igbo. Secondly, Ngige could have publicly condemned Fashola's actions and later form a bond with him as people of same party. With that, he could win the hearts of the people (thereby making them feel he is all out for the Anambrarians even to the detriment of his party). If Ngige did that, even if he formed his own party(though time is too short for him to form a party), he will still have good vote from the people
If he make peace with PDP do you think he will still get his vote back.
What is his faith now. Seriously that guy tried for Anambra ESP. Onisha

aryzgreat: Well, i took my time to read every single comment on this thread after i came back from mass. It gives me joy that my people have woken up, the trickish n hypocritic nature of yorubas will be their greatest undoing. Thought they would have learn from their mini-god awolawo but they seem to be tutored on the act of hypocritism at such a young age.

We Anambrarians don't want Ngige to rule us! QED. We have better alternatives in the persons of Prof Soludo, Prof Akunyili. To me Ubah is even better than Ngige. I use to admire him but have come to realise the "coma n see america wonder" he put up when he had issue with eselu uba was just to win d heart on ndi Anambra having been left in oblivion. A person in the mold of Ngige cud not sponsor a single bill in the senate, but he wanna rule us. Mbanu!

The Yoruba rascals trying to support Ngige r only doping so bc of his party APC, they want Tinubu to annex Anambra wealth but Ojukwu's spirit will strike them down for even daring to get at Anambra.

APC is a persona non grata party in the east, take ur campaign elsewhere, next time we make sure we condemn ur eyes with stone so u will have a mark to rmbr we are not f00ls. Ngige go and contest in Lagos.
But the last time I checked Ngige was loved by Anamberian why sudden Change at this time, why so much hatred to the extent of beating him up.
Pls no insult I just want to know cus I'm confuse

PoliticsPresstv Report Militants Kill 42 In Nigeria School Attack by feminancy(op): 9:20pm On Jul 06, 2013
At least 42 people have been killed and dozens more injured after extremist militants attacked a boarding school in the Western African country.

Survivors say gunmen launched a pre-dawn attack on a secondary school in Mamudo village, near the city of Potiskum, in the northeast of the country.

The causalities come after unidentified gunmen gathered their victims in a hostel and threw explosives and opened fire.

Local health officials say they have received more than forty dead bodies following the deadly attack.

"We received 42 dead bodies of students and other staff of government secondary school (in) Mamudo last night. Some of them had gunshot wounds while many of them had burns and ruptured tissues," said Haliru Aliyu of Potiskum General Hospital.

Medical sources said the death toll is expected to rise as some of the injured are reported to be in critical condition

Some of the students were burnt alive as the assailants set the school on fire.

The survivors say dozens of children who escaped into the bush remain missing.

No group has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.
he isnt clueless but i think his major fault is that he is often slow in taking firm actions ,just like he himself confessed, that in turn tends to portray him as clueless.and secondly when he took over he didnt want to step on too many toes due to circumstances surrounding his emergence as president[/

that simply identify him as the man who got a clue

ABUJA—Presidency, yesterday, hailed youths in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states, who were said to be fully co-operating with security agencies to hunt and hand over insurgents to the military.

It said that having carried out an assessment of the state of emergency declared by President Goodluck Jonathan in the three states, normalcy was gradually returning to the North-East of the country.

The Presidency, in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President, Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, yesterday, said that the National Emergency Management Agency and Borno State government had confirmed that only 126 Nigerians had so far been displaced by the operations, noting that the bulk of the refugees were Nigeriens.

According to the Presidency, this was contrary to a report that 8,000 Nigerians were fleeing to Niger Republic as a result of the emergency rule.

Youths’ effort
The statement said: “Perhaps, most gratifying is the new development where citizens, especially youths, are now fully co-operating with security agencies to hunt down these insurgents and hand them over to the military.

“Without doubt, these youths are the new national heroes, who have risen up to the occasion in an unprecedented patriotic fashion to work together with their government by going after their tormentors.

“This is heart-warming and clearly indicative of an awakened consciousness of civic responsibility.”

It said that the presidency was winning the war against terror and terrorists, adding that the results had proven that opposition political leaders, who opposed the emergency rule and proscription of terrorist groups, were actually clueless and blinded by their political pursuits.

The Presidency said: “One month into the state of emergency declared by President Goodluck Jonathan in some states in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria, reports from Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states are reassuring.

“Normalcy is gradually being restored as a result of the gallant efforts of the Armed Forces, other security agencies and the co-operation of the local communities.

“Markets are being re-opened, children are returning to schools, sacked communities are being re-inhabited, while commercial activities in major towns in the affected states are approaching pre-insurgency period.

Displaced persons
“Also, contrary to a report in some media that 8,000 Nigerians were fleeing to Niger Republic as a result of the emergency rule, National Emergency Management Agency and Borno State government have confirmed that only 126 Nigerians have so far been displaced by the operations and that the bulk of the refugees referred to in the report were Nigeriens returning to Niger.

“It is, therefore, gratifying that Nigeria is winning the war on terror and that the decision by President Goodluck Jonathan to declare a state of emergency in these three states is timely, effective and strategically unassailable.”

FashionYityish Aynaw - Black Miss Israel by feminancy(op): 11:19am On Jun 13, 2013
At just 21 years old, Yityish Aynaw has gone on a remarkable life journey from a little girl playing barefoot in an Ethiopian village to an Israeli beauty queen who's ready to shine on the world stage.

Last February, the stunning 21-year-old grabbed international attention after becoming the first woman of African descent to be crowned Miss Israel at the country's beauty pageant.

"To be first, you have all the attention focused on you and I have to represent my whole ethnic group because through me they see the models," says Aynaw, who will represent Israel at the next Miss Universe contest. "Through me they see and discover our whole ethnic group."

Aynaw was born in Chahawit, a small village in northern Ethiopia, near the city of Gondar. Her father died when she was young and when she was just 12 years old she lost her mother to a painful illness. Heartbroken, she arrived in Israel with her brother to live with their Ethiopian Jewish grandparents.

"The journey was, I think, what saved me," she says. "Because I was deeply hurt and I wanted to escape from Ethiopia and forget everything that had happened and get on with it," she adds. "I wanted to break away from everything and go on."

While still a child, Aynaw was suddenly faced with a new language, a new culture and all the rest of challenges that come with starting a new life in a foreign country.

Like the estimated 125,000 Ethiopian Jews who have gone in waves over the years to Israel, Aynaw experienced the same struggle to assimilate into her new environment. But Aynaw threw herself at it, not shying away from all that her adopted country expected of her, including mastering Hebrew and serving in the Israeli army after school.

"It is three of the most significant years in my life," says Aynaw about her time in the military. "There I learned a lot about myself; there I developed," she adds. "I was a girl of 19 and the army gave me structure."

After finishing her army service, Aynaw started working as a sales clerk in a clothing store. Tall and beautiful, she long had her eye on becoming a model but she never thought about taking part in a pageant. Instead, it was a friend of hers who entered her name into the Miss Israel competition.

"We were always laughing about it," says Aynaw, who also goes by the nickname Titi. "I'd not registered during the time of my studies because I was really busy -- the army is the army, I couldn't. So when I ended she said to me 'you have got no more excuses and I am going to register you.'"
I want to give my kids the experience I never had. That is my great dream.
Yityish Aynaw, Miss Israel

Her win in February changed her life instantly. Within a matter of weeks, her name and image were splashed across newspapers and websites, both in Israel and abroad.

The publicity also caught the attention of one of her heroes: Aynaw was invited to an exclusive state dinner for Barack Obama in honor of his first visit to Israel as U.S. president.

"This was an incredible moment," she says. "He was a figure that I want to emulate. I did a project on him in school and I knew what he had been through and what he had done. He was like a mentor for me, so to meet him and say hello, it was like closing a circle."

Aynaw says she had never expected something like this would happen to her.

"Suddenly I thought about the little girl who had suffered and the little girl whose only dream was to run and play the whole day. The pain I went through; I saw it all," she says.

As the first ever black Miss Israel, Aynaw is seen by some as a beacon of hope that racial prejudice is beginning to fade away in the country. Aynaw says that she's never been the victim of racism but adds that there have been instances where friends of hers have been treated differently because of the color of their skin.

"I am aware of the feeling, even if it did not happen to me," she says. "I know it [racism] exists in the country and the whole world," adds Aynaw. "It is something that has to be dispelled."

A pained little girl who has turned into a strong young woman, Aynaw is now hoping to carve out a successful career in fashion and also serve as a role model for her community.

And although her future seems set to be filled with glamorous days, Aynaw says ultimately her formula for a happy life rests on one thing.

"I have always dreamed of having a big family, a big house and a lot of kids," she says. "I want to give my kids the experience I never had. That is my great dream."

Though I agree that our police need strong, durable and fast vehicle instead of flashy cars
they really need encouragement not criticism like you see many guys here yelling at them at any little mistake .
i met some of them on duty, i will tell you they are not happy with what people are gossiping, even on the media here that they will wreck the car withing 1 month or so. they vowed that the will bit mercilessly from anyone be it car driver or car owner who by mistake or so come close to hit the car.

abouzaid: I'm happy that Gowon have finally accepted to face d icj. I will advise his legal team to prepare to answer this questions. 1) did he approve d bombing of bombing of schools, churches, markets and other civilian targets.2) was he aware that awolowo his vice president ordered a blockade of food and drugs against biafra and went on to say that hunger is a weapon of hunger among other genocidal things which was well reported in both local and foreign news media 3) did he break the aburi accord which led to the secession of biafra. 4) was he not aware that his generals engaged in mass execution of civillians in nigerian occupied areas 5) was he not aware of the widely reported execution of over 8000 igbo young men (civillians) in asaba by general murtala muhammed even though asaba was not part of biafra, their only offense was being igbo.6) was bakassi handed over to cameroon and the aborigines displaced by him in return for implementing food and medicine blockade 7) did he not approve the 20 pounds policy of awolowo knowing fully well that will lead to a lifetime of poverty and intergenerational poverty for a region ravaged by war cool did he not intentionally fan d embers of division in biafra leading to the abandoned property saga that dispossessed igbos of their houses and properties they have even in the north 9) did general adekunle refuse delivery of food and medicines to the starving biafran minorities (ogoni, anang, ibibio, efik, kalabari etc) he occupied their land 10) was he aware that top government officials repeatedly said that the igbo numbers must be drastically be reduced ? This was well reported in local and foreign media which led biafra to reject a land corridor when offered out of fear being poisoned. Even d usa government d usa government begged him to allow air delivery of foods from neutral countries but he refused. He was also asked to provide inspection officials but he refused. 11) was the said josina ship owned by the red cross and caritas and did the manifest say it's loaded with relief? Or was it privately owned 12) did the clearly marked red cross air plane he shot down at calabar killing all the crew contain any single round of ammunition 13) can he stand before the ICJ and tell the world that red cross and caritas ships and air planes were being used to smuggle weapons into biafra. 14) what was the government war theme songs being played on the northern radio stations 15) was he not aware of the ongoing executions at the markudi bridge. 16) did he not execute all eastern soldiers in the north while ojukwu safely transported northern soldiers and civillians in the east. I have more to add on that list but a sunday morning is not my best time to do so. However, i won't fail to make spirited efforts to contact the ICJ office for his investigation to proceed? I hope biafran and delta igbo legal experts should do so too.
