The need for the cars would be mostly on weekends - Saturdays, Sundays...and some weekdays.

Thank you!
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Mtn Staffs Is This True. by femol(m): 9:21pm On Mar 26, 2008
I wonder where you people get your facts from. There are statements here made out of emotions. If you care to know how MTN treats her staff, approach an authoritative source. The amount mentioned of contract staff here is misleading. Maybe there is a category of contracr staff earning that with MTN, BUT WHY DIDNT such a one declare what role he's performing.

I know what obtains cos I have first hand info; d contract staff members I know wt MTN earn far above waht is being posted here.

and MTN has a robust package for its staff, good training- locally and internationally- and lots of other benefits,

So, be careful not to let your emotions becloud your thinking.

Car Talk › Re: How Reliable Is Kia? by femol(m): 2:42pm On Dec 03, 2007
Yes the arrangement is only with diamond bank. But this is not to say that other banks cannot provide financing to purchase a chevrolet. But they won't take a 10% down payment. Only Diamond will do that.

Thanks lawyerchap,

Pls i need details. I'd appreciate if you could give me more details and probably contacts. Thank you.
Car Talk › Re: How Reliable Is Kia? by femol(m): 1:42pm On Dec 03, 2007
lawyerchap:
The Chevrolet Aveo full options (Automatic) is a great little vehicle with a 1.5 litre engine and lots of options you'd only normally find in higher end cars. Plus its American and so is percieved as more durable that the Kias. It goes for N1,995,000. There is a financing package from Diamond Bank where you can deposit as low as 10% down payment and pay the rest over 48 months. It's a dream of a package, as with 200K you can drive off this brand new car. Think about it. But whatever you do, do not buy a tokunbo vehicle.
Lawyerchap, Pls could you give details of the Chevrolet/ Diamond arrangement. Is the arrangement only with Diamond bank? ,
Thanks.

Those venting anger on MTN are only acting on emotions and not facts. I know what goes on in the industry because im in the industry and im unbiased.

oBTAIN FACTS b4 u talk. Half a word is enough for the wise; I would have said a lot but I would keep it at this for now.

It's good you verify things before you jump into conclusion.

Have bothered to ask if celtel's gprs is working and how reliable, ?

Are you aware of the details of the cost arrangement?

Watch what you say; just general advice for you.

Take care!

I urge you to try something out, all ye who do not believe there is a God in Heaven. Kindly CHALLENGE GOD; tell Him you want to know if he exists, if He is real; if Heaven is real. I trust the God I serve, the God that is real to me more than anything else. He will show Himself to you.

You need to do this,Please.

Thank you
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Celtel Call Center Or First Bank? by femol(m): 1:43pm On Aug 09, 2007
PRAY ABOUT THIS ISSUE.

Though, have this analysis, from human standpoint -

CELTEL - True, call centre has little career prospect, but, u wld have time to develop your self and career because you have more time. I am in the telecoms sector and, therefore know that the sector is highly mobile, in-house career opportunities abound. Many people who started with call centre job are now in different technical and juicy areas of the firm or industry.

FIRST BANK - Except, you are cut out for banking, stress of working late may weigh you down over time. Though, first bank is ok. but, you may languish on jobs in the lower rung than you think of a celtel call centre job.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, Take the matter to God in prayer.

I wish you the best!
Politics › Re: Patricia Etteh: New Speaker Of House Of Reps by femol(m): 7:59pm On Jun 07, 2007
She's a beautician and she's got a diploma in Law, Note, in addition , she was said to enrol and has NOW got a degree in LAW. It was also reported that she has been doing well in all her roles in the house, such that she was sent to Harvard , and so on. Though, I dont know what 'she did well' means oooo. but, I learnt she's strict. Maybe she's another Dora, Ngozi , Let's wait and see, hoping for the best!!!!!
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Latest Of Mtn Vs Celtel (and Others) by femol(m): 7:17pm On Jun 07, 2007
Do your calculation well; you may be suprised to see you could be economically better off with MTN over Celtel. Don't be carried away by the Unity tariff plan.

Think carefully, , one of my colleagues just went for someone's funeral. You know what? The person went to S.A , I suppose for vacation, and , was attacked by armed robbers. They came into his hotel room, demanded for things and shot him dead, right there!
Politics › 2007 Presidential Polls; To Celebrate Or Not? by femol(op): 5:08pm On Apr 23, 2007
1. Reports have it that Nigeria's 2007 polls was flawed with massive rigging, under-age voting, violence, voters' intimidation, 'army truck loaded with PDP ballot papers', and so on.

2. Yar' adua, said to be simple and financially prudent, has been declared winner of a controversial election.

, Juxtaposing 1 & 2 ABOVE, do we have any reason to celebrate?

I , myself, would say 'NO' without any second thought- because the process was said to be flawed, but could Yar'adua be the turning point for good?

I do not blame you at all but I am also urging who so ever that is posting things regarding 2.2 and 2.1 to have a rethink and stop it. Those that are worried about their grades are those bothering us here. Even with my third class, I am contented with it.
If I were you, I will write a formal letter to the federal govt asking it to abolish grades in our school system just as they are trying to abolish HND so that every graduate will be equal. Please Lets face jobs we are looking for and pray for success and not discussing issues that can not make a change.
I wonder why you posted a reply to this, in the first place. Retreating? Your latest reply, just like the first, sounds harsh. Friend, it's not war! , we shall all make it. Thanks!
Career › Re: Graduating With A Second Class Lower by femol(m): 5:15pm On Apr 17, 2007
koolman:
you people should not be disturbing us here with the issue of 2.1 and 2.2. any body that is not contented with his/her 2.2 should go back to school and improve on it. The bitter truth is that first class is better than 2.1, and 2.1 better than 2.2, 2.2 better than third class and so on. different classes are established to also differentiate best and better students. This and notting much is the essence of education.
With utmost degree of respect, I confidently state that your viewpoint is devoid of reason and fact. Can you prove your point? I bet you have not gone to the labour market to thoroughly sample the productivity and resourcefulness of the 2.1/2.2.

The fact is; it doesn't matter - particularly in the Nigerian context. I have come to know that good grades , to a large extent, comes through super cramming ability. This is not really useful in the present knowledge economy where creativity and some other soft skills hold more value.

Kindly see the big picture!

Cheers.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Vacancies by femol(m): 9:10am On Apr 16, 2007
Why turn this forum to a place of frivolity? If there is a vacancy, why not give the full details; this 'contact my brother stuff' breeds suspicion. A multinational firm from canada should have a website or other standard contact or interface. Please do the needful, phatgirl,

And, Nigerians , o ga oooo! Your jobs will come , KEEP ON FIRING, BUT DON'T MISFIRE, I wonder how so many people fall for anything in Naija.

Career › Re: Should I Lie About Work Experience? by femol(m): 1:44pm On Apr 07, 2007
Lying is fraudulent. Lying will boomerang on you; it will ceriatinly get back at you. God says 'do not lie' - don't try to be wiser than God.

Please note: Trusthfulness ensures sustainability; a lying spirit will eventually ruin the perpetrator.

Be wise!

You are right; if you are suspicious, how would a commercial bank direct people to send applications to a yahoo address. Which bank or recruitment agency does not have a website? Pls, beware!
