your problem, or rather one of your numerous problems, is failure to plan, you just rush into things without planning

when you make your next big mistakes please keep them off nairaland to avoid a repeat of the Lemon Lexus ES 350 Affair

your so called 100 million landed without as much as a thorough business plan

the guy that said he pities the source of the audio 100 million was very correct

Car Talk / Re: Which Do You Prefer ? The Venza Or Rx 350 by Fentanyl: 12:56pm On Mar 27, 2020
Kingsoul1:
There is this Friend of mine that wants to purchase a new vehicle. But he is stuck in between the 2010 Lexus Rx 350 and The 2010 Toyota Venza. Both vehicles are great and are in the same price range. I tried convincing him to settle for the Rx 350 over the Venza but he still thinks the Venza is way cooler than the Rx 350.

So guys, which do you think he should settle for ?
State your reasons as well! this will help the young man grin

Photos attached..

more details needed, driving conditions, personal or family situation, priorities - fuel economy vs performance vs luxury, etc

for instance if fuel economy is a priority for your friend, the 4 cylinder 2.5l Venza would be the better option, if luxury is a priority, of course the RX350 would be much better

I feel the venza is more sophisticated than the RX350

There's also the resale factor. I've heard someone on here saying the RX has a poor second hand value.

your first point is wrong, and your second point is even more wrong

the venza is just a raised and lengthened Camry wagon, was cancelled years ago due to very poor demand

lexus models arguably have better resale value than any other brand in Nigeria

Car Talk / Re: Toyota Camry 05/06 Stereo by Fentanyl: 9:12am On Mar 26, 2020
georgee:
Good morning House

Stereo for my Toyota Camry 05/06 does not have AUX and Bluetooth.. It makes listening to music dull for as i have to rely on CDs. All my songs are on my phone and flash drive.

Is it advisable for me to change the car stereo, will I get one that fits the car exactly.
If yes, i will need to sell my car stereo add small money if need be to get a beta one

Kindly advise

your car stereo is a standard double din stereo, used in many different models, also the setup is actually relatively simple for your car, you can replace only the stereo and leave the speakers and amp in place and the system would still work perfectly

there are many stereos which have touchscreen, bluetooth and aux feature, some also have USB ports for your USB device, most available are Chinese but still work well, or you can also go for the original android double din which can be a bit expensive

average Chinese fully featured stereo costs 30 - 40k

the first thing you should know is you should avoid asking unqualified people for opinions or advise, of the three people you mentioned, legalwealth is not fit to give anybody professional car advise, seeing as he could not even give himself good advice and ended up with several problematic cars

meanwhile stick with the 2011 year, do your vin number check and only contact pros for inspection to avoid stories that touch

lol

you people are very funny

in my first post on this Volvo T6 issue, I said it was from personal experience

several years back, I went against advice from an expert and bought a 2005 Volvo XC90 T6, even after reading all the horrifying stories online, my reaction was exactly what some of you are saying here:

it will not happen to me, those people did not take care of the car well, any issue can be repaired, people are just hating and beefing me and my fine ride

brethren, let me tell you I took care of that car like the bible, Castrol oil back then was expensive but i used Castrol oil, the best of everything

one morning on my way to work, this baby of mine stalled on 3MB, that was the last time I enjoyed that ride

don't say kazeem this or that because an expert used the official Vida software to diagnose the ride and after 3 transmissions each of which lasted like 2 months, we had to scrap the car at owode

let the benefit of years of experience help you, nobody cares enough about you to beef you or hate you

valarinz has sold more than 100 volvos over the years, he also specializes in volvos, which was why I mentioned him in my initial post

at the end of the day, you can either learn from others if you wish or you can stick your head in the sand and fall into the same trap as them

he has advertised the car for resale so it seems he does not intend to use it personally

be that as it may, this information is important for everyone interested in buying cars especially non-Japanese so as to avoid stories that touch

if you like, shout witchcraft, if you like accuse anybody of anything

I can't thank Amdman enough!

He delivered just as expected!
Everything about this car is a top notch - the neatness in and out, great transmission, like-new tyres, sound engine, chilling AC, everything is just perfect....

The way it moves on highway is just amazing. It picks up immediately and zoom off... Seriously, nothing can be compared to V6 engine... I couldn't believe it as well.

Thanks once again Boss, more and more deals ahead! I'm more than grateful!

"Volvo XC90 T6 AWD"

first of, nice car, and I'm glad the OP has come through for you as he has for some of us, and you had the courtesy to testify and encourage the hesitant

i hope you did the proper and necessary research about the T6, because from personal experience, the T6 is just a waiting disaster and even Volvo acknowledged the serious issues

maybe Valarinz can share more details

that aside, congratulations!

Also, that's what insurance is for though they might deny her claim because of the violation.

you have a less than admirable propensity for self adulation and promotion, often in very inappropriate situations, at the expense of others and in an infuriatingly condescending manner

a more empathetic or simply reasonable person would just point out any failures on the part of the lady who lost her livelihood to an extrajudicial process and perhaps offer some words of encouragement

but of course you had to self promote, you could not and would not let such an opportunity pass you by

one of these days I certainly hope you have cause to reconsider your approach

it amuses me, how people try so hard to convince other people how well off they are

I mean, if I were really doing that well in life, I would not ever bother trying to convince online strangers, posting all sorts of photos and videos to make myself seem better off
