Besides, Datolee has put the records on this straight about officers giving the position of the head of state to the man of integrity. I hope to find the link. |

Culture › Re: Where Did Nigerians Get That Superiority Complex From? by Feraz(m): 9:26pm On Mar 15, 2015 |
iamord: if Nigeria is serious about improving bilateral relations. That word would have been ban. Before it became Ghana must go. It had a name. Cos of that big and silly stories passed on from generation to generation. Even toddlers that have not seen some border . Come up and say 'common Ghana' what kind of future are u building. It's just like the word nigga. That is now like an household name. Then roots has been negative. And it will never change Most people do not even know how it came to be and are not bothered finding out the origin hence they do not see it as an insult but you have a point though. As you said, it will never change. If it was in the 80s, I'd have said it is still a hate phrase but it is not anymore. iamord: u need a recap of how it went down in the Chris attoh and adebite thread The same thing you accuse them of is what u are guilty of If you read my previous post, I said most times, Nigerians do not start it. It does not rule out the fact that sometimes, we are guilty of it. |
Culture › Re: Where Did Nigerians Get That Superiority Complex From? by Feraz(m): 9:03pm On Mar 15, 2015 |
SemuhleB: just Yeah. These people say so because they are provoked. I was once reading a thread about damilola and Chris. The Ghanaians were saying nice stuff but the Nigerians were saying bad stuff that he is too black. The marriage won't last etc and then that crazy guy started with his insults. That is why I said if they're provoked, check the history, it is not Nigerians started that it. BTW, there was this chick I read her thread about being in love with an Edo man but she was vilified by her country people who also found joy to insult Nigerians. What warranted that? Do you now expect Nigerians not to play the game? |
Culture › Re: Where Did Nigerians Get That Superiority Complex From? by Feraz(m): 8:57pm On Mar 15, 2015 |
iamord: what do u say about the word Ghana must go. Which alot of you make use of day in day out.? C'mon iamord, you know the history of how that tag came to be and why it is called so. It still doesn't mean that Nigerians are insulting Ghanaians. And the two main culprits from Ghana and Nigeria have started. More to join. Whenever Ghana and Nigeria is mentioned, expect to see certain people there... |

SemuhleB: Lol by the comments you can just see what the op meant. He asked a mere simple question. Why do Nigerians look down on other Africans and put them down. There is nothing wrong if you feel that you are better, but there is no need for insults and name calling. Then Nigerians will complain that other Africans don't like them or are ' Jealous of them' as the popular saying goes. There is really no need referring to countries like Hiv South Africa, small Kenya, Charcoal Ghana. It's really rude and distasteful yet if these same countries had to call you people 419, juju people etc etc ya'll are the first to complain. That's just what the op was trying to say and I can guarantee you that every African country will agree with the op. Sometimes if many people complain about the same things then it's time to look inwards because everyone cannot be wrong or jealous. As much as I do not support name calling, Nigerians most times are not known to start up the whole insult ish. . . |

PapiWata: These are cutting-edge top-of-the-line drones, available to law enforcement or private users.
http://www.microdrones.com/en/products/md4-1000/at-a-glance/ Cost Unlisted. Flies surveillance missions of up to 45 minutes.
http://www.aeryon.com/applications/military.html Cost Not Specified. This baby shoots video airborne in high winds for up to 50 minutes.
http://www.hse-uav.com/rdass_1000_4_rotor_electric_uas.htm Total System Cost $8,300 USD. Professional gear, and not for hobbyists.
http://www.maxsur.com/category_s/1864.htm Price quotations available ONLY to law enforcement officers. Civilians need not apply ha ha.
The links below contains general information about police drone applications.
http://hse-uav.com/
http://www.microdrones.com/en/applications/areas-of-application/security/
At the low extreme of price, sold at $1000 or below, but offering only 25 minutes flight time, you have the respected DJ Phantom multi-rotor series, in the below link
http://www.dji.com/products/compare-phantom
Finally, saving the best and costliest for last, we have the Area Fada of all Drones, which I imagine costs at least $20 thousand US per unit - The Staionair, made in France. This monster is powered not by batteries, but by a turbo fan engine that runs on aviation kerosine, and offers a whopping 1.5 HOURS of flight time, which is unmatched by any other drone on the commercial market, and thus is entirely in a class of its own, for ridiculously long flight time, during which it can cover a range of 30 kilometers.
http://www.stationair.fr/vtol-uav/
http://cinescopophilia.com/thats-not-a-drone-this-is-a-drone-the-stationair-vtol-uav-professional-drone/ Some nice video footage here. I remember the Anambra state governor doing something like this and it was posted here but some Nairalanders decided to ridicule the plan due to political difference. I am sure that by now, they'll be able to see the use of these UAVs. It may not be much, but it can lead us somewhere. And this incident is also a wake up call to the government to train special units for things like this. Do we even have trained snipers in this country? |

Unseen: Always download from store. However you can download external files like videos, documents etc using ucbrowser. I also use PC to download any file above 100MB from windowsphone.com then transfer it to my Phone sd card using usb cord. After which I will open Store, tap on the three dots at the down right(options) select install local apps and the phone will use internet to verify the app and it will install. Really? I just learnt something new. Will try this night and greet back to you. Thanks... Mariesio, if it's not much of a bother, try the above suggestion. |

BTW, why are u trying to defend these mediocre phone makers? Didn't you see where I added a disclaimer? Besides, I think the limit is tied to Windows store. . . Mariesio, I found this to be useful. I can relate to this standd. Once happened to me when I wanted to board a rickshaw. I tried getting down for an aged lady so that she can come in as I'd soon drop only for her to start shouting telling me how disrespectful I am. Before I realized it, she started speaking in her native language of how Igbo people are rude and uncouth and was saying something almost similar as you'll read on Nairaland. Who told her I was Igbo? She just assumed. That was when I realized how serious tribalism is.... it's not just online but also in the real world.... 7 Likes |
