Movie Title: The Greatest Showman

Year: 2017
Cast: Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson
Genre: Musical, Drama
Industry: Hollywood
Time: 1h 44 min
Plot: This movie tells the story of PT Barnum, the man who started the circus. It tells how PT Barnum, went from a poor, tailor's son to the owner of a circus; his trials and how he overcame them.
Review:
The Sound of Music has been hailed as an iconic musical and the best of the 20th century, well, The Greatest Showman is the greatest musical of this century so far and I might even add, better than TSM. Not only was EVERY song from this movie a hit, everything from the choreography, to the storyline and the acting was perfect. The story is set in New York, in the early 20th century, we see how Barnum (Jackman) first met his love, Charity (Williams), as a child, he shows her a life he sees for their future, despite how poor he is at the time and how rich her family is. His father's death leaves him wandering the streets, however, he eventually grows older and seeks her hand in marriage. Her father grudgingly accepts and he takes her away, but Barnum isn't the rich man he thinks his wife deserves. Eventually, he comes up with the idea of gathering 'misfits' to form a show which people pay for. He enlists the help of rich kid, Phillip Carlyle (Efron) to help in hosting the shows. Phillip introduces him to Jenny Lind (Ferguson) an opera singer, who distracts him from his circus and nearly destroys his career and marriage There are so many lessons to learn in this movie, whether it's the lesson of believing in each other, of seeing someone more for what they can add to your life, rather than what they look like, of never forgetting your roots, or of never paying attention to people's opinions, the lessons are inexhaustible. And each song tells a lesson, each song speaks to someone. Watching the movie, can lift anyone's spirits. No matter how low you feel, The Greatest Showman will surely make you feel better. This is another movie that was so good, there was hardly a fault. The one fault I did notice however, was a scene where he hopped on a train, the graphics were so poor, I could tell it was fake. However, it had little or no impact on the core of the movie. Like I have told the over twenty people I have recommended the movie to, The Greatest Showman is the greatest musical you will see in a long time.
Rating: 9/10
Play/Trowey: Play a Gazillion times I loved every bit of this movie, the songs, the struggles etc. and for some reason, it reminded me of The Great Gatsby.Acrimony doesn't look like a movie I plan on finishing having started since last year August or so. |

baralatie: the CCB cannot try a senior judge because the constitution says only the NJC is the body empowered to try any judge of any calibre. and the Federal Court of Appeal has affirmed it in the ruling against CCB vs Justice Nganjiya 2017. Any ruling, judgement, will be overturned in the higher courts without the the CJN appearing in the court I am aware of the above. Please, refer to my post above yours. Then again, can you clear my curiousity? Are documents sent to the CCB not available to the public? Check the tweet below CC PaChukwudi44 Wallade: The court can't arraign the CJN abinitio. Hence, there is no issue if he doesn't appear before that court. I know the NJC has to declare him guilty first. Are you sure about the bolded? I'm sure I am being attacked because you think I support the current government which is far from it and you think I come from the SW which I am not. I do know how their supporters behave and I know how hypocritical they (APC stalwarts) were when numerous cases of corruption were hanging around the neck of their 'responsible' leaders. Should Atiku win, what will you say if the opposition does something similar? He is the CJN, he should show the lawless leaders, esp, PMB, how it is done. Also, I believe the case is DOA as it did not follow the due process. kotv: Buhari has succeded in dividing this country. I know a zombie will come and say some hypocritical statement. Let it be known we'll know Jubril is serious about fighting corruption when he prosecute gandollars, kemi, tinubu, etc. Until then, his rigging attempt is void. Princedapace: No sitting judge should be tried except he is not in office anymore.
That must be respected.. This whole game na polictial move. Na Buhari men dey run am. You are right, it is political and the timing, very wrong. That's why I said the case is likely DOA since the NJC did not deliberate on the matter. |

As for PMB, go through the legal way of removing him instead of this current method. For those supporting this, just know that you about to set a precedence which will stay with us for a long time, just like how you all introduced hate politics and disrespect to the office of the presidency.
That being said, one thing I like is how all geopolitical zones, with the exception of the SE come together to discuss issues that affect them. If this had happened to a SEner, I do not see the governors coming together. |

At that price range, you can't get much for a good DSLR for pictures and videos for events. I think a Canon 1300D is ok enough for him since it falls within his budget range; the change he could invest in a good lens. |

Have you read it
So many goats and senseless people in my unfortunate COUNTRY of origin
Kagame gives a suggestion and all these e rats are running their mouth My brother, I saw the tweet since last year, followed it and agree with all you said. He was giving a suggestion and opinion in relation to what NOI wrote about her experience as a minister and what she encountered. He actually agreed with her. To think the mods moved this half-truth to FG and they ate already gloating. monex: she meant fighting corruption is a dangerous mission because corrupt elements will fight back. The book was about corruption fighting back.
Try not to twist her words when you read it chicfarmer: Read NOI's book first, then come back and comment. NOI and Kagame are saying same thing. Okonjo's book highlighted her challenges in fighting corruption and the resistance and even threats she faced from entrenched interests.
She was simply saying that corruption must be stopped but don't expect it to be easy.
Kagame's comment is a play on words (pun), not a sly dig.
People should try and read more, abeg. Everything is not politics. Thank you. Aptly put. seunmsg: In what appears like a subtle shade, Rwandan President Paul Kagame took to Twitter to advice Ngozi Okonjo Iweala to write another book on, “Not fighting corruption is even more dangerous “.

We cannot make any progress as a nation until we collective battle the menance of corruption. You are a very dishonest person. Look at how you brought in politics into a beautiful message by Kagame and twisted it to suit your narrative. |

Science/Technology › Cell Phones And Gas Station Explosions, A Myth? by Feraz(op): 3:49pm On Jan 07, 2019 |
“Oga, will you hang up on that call you currently are on? Can’t you see we are in a gas station”? she said angrily.
The young man ignored her and continued talking to the person on the other end of the phone.
“Bros, you no hear wetin she talk? Abi you wan kill all of us for this station?” some passengers retorted.
“No mind am. Im no know say you no suppose dey use phone for where you dey buy fuel”The above conversation happened in a bus I was a passenger in while heading to a certain destination. It got me thinking, is this really a myth? Cell phones causing explosion in gas stations? I looked it up just to refresh my memory on what I initially read and couldn’t find a story to lay credence to the above myth. Maybe you could share your experiences. For this article, we're going to work from the assumption that you don't want to cause an explosion and fire at a gas station, sending the whole structure and all of its patrons up in a cloud of smoke, lottery tickets, windshield-washer fluid and Funyuns. So, if you don't want to cause an explosion or start a fire at a gas station, you should keep your trusty cell phone holstered, right?
Nope.
While gas stations have posted warnings against cell phone use, and urban legends recount fires started by cell phones at gas tanks, there has been no documented case of a cell phone starting a fire at a gas station [source: Petroleum Equipment Institute]. In fact, researchers have actively tried (and failed) to use cell phones to start gas pump fires [source: MythBusters].
What started the idea that cell phones and gas pumps don't mix? One culprit could be the little shock you get when you shuffle across the carpet. While cell phones haven't been shown to ignite fires at gas stations, static electricity has. When you gas up your car, you're likely careful not to spill a single drop (gas is expensive!). Still, gas vapors hang out around the pump nozzle, even when it's inserted in your gas tank. Those vapors can be ignited by static electricity. Once they get ignited, the fire travels wherever the gas is — inside the pump, inside the car's fuel tank — and the next thing you know, there's a big boom and you're going to have a lot of explaining to do to your insurance company.
You're not safe from static electricity just because most gas stations are short on shag rugs. If you like to start the fuel pump, then get back in your car (because you're cold or lazy and don't want to stand outside) and then go back to return the nozzle to the pump, your little visit inside your car might have charged you up enough to ignite those gasoline fumes. In fact, some experts have found charges of up to 60,000 volts on people who'd gotten in and out of their cars while refueling [source: Hunter].
So even though your cell phone isn't going to set off a fire at the gas station, it's still a good idea to leave it in the car while you fill up. Getting gas is boring, but you really do need to be aware of your surroundings so you can respond to any issues with the pump. Gas stations also tend to be filled with moving cars, so you need to be paying attention in case a 1998 Plymouth Voyager comes barreling at you from over by the air pump. Using your cell phone at a gas station won't make you burst into flames, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea.
