Pres. Buhari gave a modest speech at the U.N 74th Assembly considering the severity of the current circumstances. ECO currency is about to launch in 2020 so Pres. Buhari invited the European partnership although West Africa doesn't need them. And Pres. Buhari addressed the world's leading cause of death poverty. The U.N is lip service as Pres. Mugabe said Africans and other small developing countries going all the way to New York is a waste of time. None of their demands or requests are ever meet by the U.N governing body. Pres. Buhari is a wise leader he makes modest speeches yet does serious moves outside the flashing lights and cameras.

The Europeans had multiple chances to partnership with Africans yet chose to invade and colonize. Even after African nations won their independence the Europeans refused to help them develop so Africans could mine their own natural resourcres. What you would find is that China and Russia have done good in Africa. The Chinese especially invested hundreds of billions in helping Africa develop. It's a nice gesture on behalf of Pres. Buhari to let it be known Africa would partnership with Europe. I think it's more political than having any real chance of happening. Yet even if so partnership between Africa and Europe would take place would it be an equal partnership? I don't think Africa needs Europe so Africa would have the advantage which the Europeans wouldn't like. Yet Nigeria is the center of the West African region and must show responsibility.

Any Yoruba politician who would secure partnerships with foreigners that in deals that significantly improves the regional economy and gave the greater percent to Nigeria is a presidential candidate. The other tests, as the latter is a test, would be if the presidential candidate has improved the structure of at least one local area. And the third test would be he must show an ability in not only accounting yet also feasibility in all budget matters. Being Nigerian means they enjoy living the high life yet must show some feasibility to stay within means. This makes Nigeria an attractive and vibrant place with lots of cultural fun and excitement like Lagos.
