This year's SSC registration turn out was very poor. Why una dey fear combat na?
As per your WhatsApp message,
Northwest has a total of 4008 candidates making it the highest in all the regions.
While Southeast has 946 registrants making it the region with the lowest registration turn out.
I think Kano has the highest number of candidates while Ebonyi no just try.
Meanwhile, hope you have applied for the leave? If not, you may have issues as shortlisting is almost complete.

Really wished we could get the data for DSSC

For those that haven’t heard, there’s a “new” Terrorist group named Darul Salam.. and these ones seem to know what they are doing

Which one is Darul Salam again.

There's more to these terrorist groups springing up. That's all I can say.

As we know, Victory is from God alone. We will defeated these bastards.

1) No. Only people that met their criteria and filled the form correctly will be invited. Notwithstanding, people have already started making moves. So if you have anyone that may help you it's wise you let them know from now.
2) Photocard alone is the only pass to sit for the exam.

hmm... I just hope to make the cut.

Thanks for the clarification.

I really want to clarify some things that keeps me worried, please help:

1. Since we'll be writing exams first before the usual screenings for both commissions this year, unlike previous years. Are we all gonna be invited for the exam or the whole long leg/godfather thing starts now to even be shortlisted/invited for the exams?

2. Please, should I worry about signing the whole document and referees before coming for the exams or it's just the photo card (the very first page) that will be required of us for the exam. Any valuable insights would be appreciated.
.

Please now, someone should use style and answer me.

SITUATION REPORT THURSDAY MORNING

DSSC 26862
SSC. 9607

CANDIDATES.....start preparing for your exams, the list will not take time to be released.

Know your principal military officers, know your rank equivalents from army to other forces.....don't just do Gmat, do current affairs deeply

Thanks dear.
Good to know one is on the right track as regards prepping for the exams.

Quick one; will there still be the usual shortlisting of candidates of 30 per state to come for exams. Won't that be too small? Any insights will be appreciated. Thanks again dear. May God grant us our heart desires.

Good evening soon to be cadets.

I've been following the thread quietly, thank you for keeping us posted. And yet I have a small question. Please, don't misunderstand my question.

What do you guys think of the attitude of the selection board towards first class graduates who make it to the board interview. Do they by any chance factor that? And does it increase your chance even by the smallest margin? I need candid reply, just say it as it is.

Pls I want to ask again. I'm actually applying for dssc. Will they find out if I use a contact lense during the eye exam? I tend to squint a little to get clearer view of very distant letters. So I want to beat the odds with a contact. Will they open my eyes to exam or just the usual Snellen chart?

Please reply. Thanks

I think the instructions says you should only come with your photocard so as to ascertain you’re not impersonating for someone
N/B Ugo and Sikowitz17 could be of more assistance

I mean the shortlistin for the exam.

Please, I don't know if this question has been asked before. If shortlisting happens, are we to come with the entire 5 page document or just the photo card that is the one on the first page? And must they all be signed by then

Entry 1.

"Into the depth"

Bloom Bloom! This evermore glittery tide,
Whispered melodies, wondrous lullabies,
Cloud of tears dripping mine side,
Into the depth, come I

Buried down beneath the ocean
Leaving the harbour, of our religion
As we glide into the abyss
There, we found the legion

Come forth, O queen of the high seas
Thine subjects here in obeisance to thee
From the mainlands of sorrow, we have come
Here we have come to seek your peace

I shall leave the depths O queen,
For yet, I have a life to live,
Up in the mainlands to bring him to thee
Bloom Bloom, this evermore glittery tide.

CU is being cautious about expanding faculties so that the quality of those programs would not erode. The emphasis I believe right now is toughening up the Engineering faculty by building two centers of excellence in engineering and a Technology Hub for its computer science/engineering. But in the nearest future they would expand into other faculties.

Well, I really feel expanding their faculties won't be a bad idea. And I don't think it would erode the quality of programmes being offered. Check out most top ranking universities in the US and UK... They have a large pool of courses one can choose from, even at Post graduate level.

they won't widen their faculty to accommodate more courses, instead they church created Landmark Uni and made it focused on agric. If you study both schools very well, you will realize that as expensive as they are, they are still being heavily subsidized.

Well, now I know better... With the way CU is going, I give it another 10 years; the likes of "Oba awon Unifasity'' and the "Premier warriors" would be rubbing CU's bottom.

On a lighter note... If an MSc abroad is unsuccessful, it's definitely CU.
Education / Re: Public And Private University Students Battle On Twitter For Supremacyy by Fifthwave(f): 10:01pm On Feb 25, 2018
Private/Public university can not make a dullard a genius in 4 years. If you are not smart, you're not!

It all boils down to the individual.

I graduated from a Public University, but I can defend my piece of paper (certificate) anywhere in the world.
Hardwork, discipline and self development is key.
.
.
.
P.S: Let's not argue about private/public Nigerian universities please. Nigerian Public Universities are a monumental failure in the history of tertiary Education.
Also, some private universities should cease to operate.

CU is a leading institution, I must admit. Only if they could widen their faculties for more disciplines.
