Is this how u Osu Yorubas will change Igbo from condemning you.

Instead of us to stop our Osu caste system, we are expanding it by extension to Yoruba married to Igbo.

An extended category of Osu-Yoruba!

Culture is dynamic for Christ's sake! We onced killed twins!

But this practise was put to a stop and we moved on. Why has the Igbo caste system persisted?

P.S: Quick fact; caste system is much worse in India.

Wha-aa-at?? shocked Didn't realise this 3rd group existed. Thanks for the info. sad But isn't it ridiculous that in this century where knowledge has increased, technology has abounded and innovation keeps unfolding almost on a daily basis, the minds of men are still so small that they scorn fellow human beings like themselves, based on archaic, superstitious, irrational beliefs??! shocked angry

Sad, but that's the reality.

WHO AGAIN IS OBSESSED WITH BECOMING IGBO?

EVERY OTHER TRIBE IN NIGERIA ARE NORMAL, EVEN FULANI.

THE ABNORMAL TRIBE OBSESSING ABOUT IGBO IS YORUBA.

U EVEN PASS A LAW RECENTLY IN LAGOS TO CALIM ALL IGBO PEOPLE CHILDREN AS YORUBA AND FORCE YORUBA LANGUAGE ON THEM.

EVEN THE HAUSAFULANI ARE NOT THAT MAD.

OSU YORUBA!

Might I suggest you cut your thumbs (actually, shut up!) and stop typing!

TEYA:

Catholic ke! Una priests wey dey scatter small boys bum bum like no man business. Everyone get their wahala!

That is a "one out of many" cases.
The catholic church is one of the denominations in christendom that still practice what the early christian practised. No doubt, the church is filled men with flesh and blood and so there are bound to be scandals. However, the Catholic does not coerce people to give their life savings as tithes or offering. Infact, it is in the catholic church that I have seen where you can go to church with nothing in your pocket and you won't feel embarrased.

But we are always accused of idol worshipping etc. God help us all.

To all christians out there remember; Feb 14th is Valentine and also Ash wednesday - the beginning of lent.

Did you notice the 'Lent' in 'vaLENTine'? It's another time to go back to God, in fasting, prayer and almsgiving.

Happy sunday.

LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP

Assumption they say is the best way of making a mistake. I am not writing this to favour anybody neither do I mean to mystify this issue but it is necessary to let the whole world know that what happened in the four-seconds video was part of three-hours rehearsal. It was not in a lecture room but a theatre rehearsal, and discipline is very important during rehearser, in fact some scholars ague that discipline is part of ethics of rehearsal.
In regard to this, the entire National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies (NASELS) Uniosun chapter are urging people to do their research thoroughly and get the fact before they react to the matter and stop spreading rumour that can tarnish the image of this prestigious department and Osun State University at large.
The entire NASELSites also urge management to please deliver their judgement fairly as it has been gathered from the students and even the eyewitnesses that Dr. Sesan was not at fault. He is innocent and should not be punished for the offence he did not commit.

Thanks for your understanding.

Signed: -
AKALA Sunday F

True. They are also holding students planning on post graduate studies abroad. Processing their transcript becomes a problem.

Are they black?

Racially they are not Caucasian, so they ain't white. "Brown" would suffice as a racial description of their colour.
However, they are known as the Mongoloid.

Thanks a lot. His reply pissed me off. I only innocently and sincerely ask a question to know how I can plan on some things. Moreover, am teaching but for how much? Each time I try to apply in other bigger place, am told that I can't be given because I've not served (NYSC) and might leave at any time once the service comes up. Now am asking on this platform knowing that there are many that may be able to help with the information only to get some comment. Anyway, thanks for standing in for me, am grateful. Good night

I totally relate to the question you asked. I'm also in the same (if not exactly the same) shoes. I understand, just keep managing the place. April/May is around the corner which I suppose is when Batch A mobilisation would begin. So, let's keep our fingers crossed.

THE ranking

The University of Tehran ranks 104 globally. I can't ascertain the others, but the fact is, they have a better system. This is not me saying okay to Iran building us varsities. We just do not want their Islamic ideals to mingle with our own system.

Lagos is a city of chaos. Very disorganised!
As old as lagos is, no subways, no sewers, no smart trains and train station. The list is endless.

Not to forget, Lagos is gradually overtaking Aba in terms of dirtiness. Where the hell is LAWMA?

actually, there are large pieces of land that haven't been used for anything inside the uni. It should also be a part of the upgrade

But in a bid to admit multitudes, bear in mind that lecturer-student ratio is a key index of qualitative tertiary education. Check out the Ivy league schools, with a single digit acceptance rate (6-9%), emphasis is on quality and not quantity. U.S alone has over 4000 accredited universities and colleges for a population of over 250million. How many do we have for our population of about 180 million? A little above 100.

P.S: It's really not about the unused land in Nigerian university campuses.
