Bollinger: Let me chip in; but abortion is illegal (the only exception is when the pregnancy poses threat to the mother). And this is largely influenced by religion in Ireland. . Now you've just brought a case of homosexuality; hope you know there are homosexuals who claim to be Christians also? Even though I see it as the peak of contradiction. In the Rep. of Ireland you mentioned; believe me, a lot of people are opposed to homosexuality. Homophobia isn't strictly a Nigerian thing. There are religious homophobes as well as irreligious homophobes, both in Nigeria and everywhere else. |

tealaw: You're busted. Now run along! ![]() . And please, don't you ever give your children an education, because you it will only make them speak good English and feel good about themselves okay. |

Bollinger: What is the guarantee that taking away religion can lead to 50% of the world's problems being solved. Ireland for example is a European country with about 78% professing a particular faith. Only 10% identifies with no religion. Assessing this country, would you say they are faced with problems which are directly (or indirectly) related to religion? In my opinion, the problem isn't religion, but religious extremism. It is in extremism you find people blaming every problem on religion, it is in extremism you see the manifestations of Jihad. |

tealaw: You're just clueless. It is you who need to read your post again. Saying education can only give you secured and constant money is very myopic... Stop trying to shield your cluelessness with dry sarcasm. |

Bollinger: Nigeria's problem is multifaceted. From the very foundation, I'd say illiteracy. That is the foundation of our problem. Another problem is tribalism, nepotism, and religious extremism. Mind you, not religion but religious extremism of some sects. |

Bollinger: Haha. I shall pick up the sarcasm and bid you farewell. |

einsteine: We are talking about UNN here, not Cornell University. Good luck on watching paint dry. |
![]() |
einsteine: Now, where would you place a course like "Bioinformatics"? isn't that more like a cross disciplinary field? Sort of a merger of Biological Sciences and Computing. Can you see your stupidity being exposed? Do we not have Disciplines like Agric and Bioresources Engineering? Which cuts across Agricultural Sciences and Engineering which is domiciled in the Faculty of Engineering. So, shut up and run along. |

Bollinger: How did you come about your 90% statistics? . A bit of digression... Did you vote in the last election? Will you vote in the next? . If your answers to both questions are NO. Then what moral right do you have to accuse citizens who partake in the voting process. |

kinguwem: I disagree with that. Name one developed country that Nigeria has more people with Higher Education. Just one. US alone has over 4000 Universities, how many do we have in Nigeria? slightly above a 100. How can you compare? |

tealaw: Really? So with Okonjo-iweala's education, she didn't progress? Wow! Tell me more. . With Soyinka's education he is not making progress too? Wow! Tell me more. . With Charles Soludo's education, he too is not making progress? Tell me more. . With Chimamanda Adichie's education, she also is not making progress? Tell me more . Even Davido, Simi, Funke Akindele, Joke Silva Fahlz, Ebuka (BBN) are all graduates. . Before you open your mouth to downplay formal Education or people with formal education, think twice. . We should not always make myopic comments. Education is invaluable, irrespective of the path which would lead you to financial independence. . The more educated you are, the less savage you become. |

Bollinger: Wouldn't that be a fallacious statement? |

Bollinger: Are you blaming Christians for the ''shìthole" status of your country? Tell me. |
![]() |
Bollinger: What was the post for again? If you want Bible passages for the issues you mentioned, created a thread then you'll get answers. But for now, stick to the topic. |

Gaddafithe2nd: So you do agree that there are courses that are not popular in the society? Haha, see you've just shot yourself. . And is it that you were blinded by your narcissistic tendencies that you did not see where I told him to pick another Jamb form? of course... after telling him how useless a course like Animal Science is which is currently being taught with an obsolete curriculum. . You just love to pick a sentence and try to sound intelligent by responding, but you keep exposing you ignorance and poor attention to detail. . You desperately want to have the last say, but I won't let you. . And you're trying so hard to find out what I studied, I won't fall for such gimmicks! ![]() |

Gaddafithe2nd: This is it, you've run out of what to say. Now you've resorted to name calling; "kolomentality". . The truth hurts. I have given my honest opinion to the OP like the others gave theirs, but you chose to mention mine because it was laced with the bitter truth of reality. . Since you no longer have what to say, you may quit mentioning me now. |

You see, a lot of people are quick to cast aspersions on the existence of God, Heaven, Hell, etc. Now I ask, why not live your life as though these things do exist? When you die, you stand to lose nothing if eventually they actually don't exist. . But, woe betide you that in the end, these things actually did exist. Then it would be "had I known". . Give Jesus Christ a chance. . The atheists of today are actually Christians who find holiness a daunting task. Hence, they resort to atheism not because they do not believe in God, but because they are too lazy to live a Christian life of holiness. 3 Likes 1 Share |

hopefulLandlord: The realm which your 5 senses perceive are not all that there is. |

Gaddafithe2nd: You have artfully ignored your ignorant comment about neocolonialism by presenting a caveat to your early comment; "not everyone would leave the country...". Which means some would leave, so those who leave are suffering from Neocolonialism. Right? P.S: I am not narcissistic. You my friend, have exhibited all traits of a raging narcissist. |

MrEgghead: OK. |

arinzos: Which is why his best bet is to study hard for the next Jamb and score very high. . Mind you, change of course in UNN is now N50,000. Tell me, what is the guarantee that he would be accepted if he applies? Would you refund his money? |
![]() |
Gaddafithe2nd: So practising a noble profession like Medicine or (probably) rendering other services in say the academia in another country other than yours is your definition of neocolonialism? . And you want to question my certificate? Yours should be properly investigated. |
![]() |
olalat: In a country where nepotism overrides merits? Please, calm your rage. If he must leave, he should. And calling him unpatriotic will not limit amount to anything. |

ednut1: You see, the fact doesn't absolve either the accuser or the accused from their sins. If I sin, and you sin and I accuse you of sinning, you are still a sinner. It was still sinners who wanted to stone Mary Magdalene to death for sinning differently before Jesus came to rescue her. Jesus still condemned her sins. So it doesn't matter who accuses you for sinning, the fact is that you should repent. |

Qsscruz:. This same UNN, where someone with a GP as low as 3.5 can change to Medicine, while someone with as high as 4.4 will still be denied? . Please get your facts right. The percentage that actually change successfully without "IM" is very negligible. |
![]() |
Gaddafithe2nd: Again, another flawed reasoning. Do you think everyone's career prospect is limited in the Nigerian space? Are you saying it's a must to practice the said Medicine in Nigeria? Now whose certificate should be questioned? You're very swift in making uninformed comparisons and conclusions. |

Babysho: Jude 1:7 (New American Standard Bible) Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in "gross immorality" and went after "strange flesh", are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire. . Now I ask; Is sex with a doll not gross immorality? Doesn't a sex doll qualify as "strange flesh"? 3 Likes |

writerights: Only UI made top top 800-1000. 875 or there about. South African universities were in the top 250-300. |

jerryunit48: Should a university be responsible for teaching them "English"? What did they do from kindergarten through Secondary school? |
![]() |
writerights: They have and for the first time in its history we have two UK universities top the list. 1. University of Oxford, United Kingdom 2. University of Cambridge, United Kingdom 3. California Institute of Technology, United States 4. Stanford University, United States 5. Massachusetts Institute of Technology, United States 6. Harvard University, United States 7. Princeton University, United States 8. Imperial College London, United Kingdom 9. University of Chicago 10. ETH Zurich – Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, Switzerland. And the interesting thing about this ranking is, they are ranked based on the following indices; Teaching, Research, Citations, Industry Income, International Outlook, No. of FTE (full time enrolled) Students, No. of students per staff, International Students, Female:Male Ratio. And the range of programmes offered in each University is taken into consideration. |
